《Someone to call a friend (hananene story)》Chp.8

I wondered why Hanako had asked No.1 to tell me to meet him at the practice garden, as I skipped through the hallway. Maybe he wanted to hang out or something, I wasn't sure but I was happy it wasn't cleaning duty. When I got to the garden I just stood there and gasped. There was a small patch of red Camilla flowers and right in the middle of them Hanako stood with his signature smile on his face.
"Yashiro! I'm glad you came, I thought you would like to cloud watch with me and when it gets late enough we can gaze at the stars." Said Hanako in a rather light and upbeat tone.
"Oh Hanako, you shouldn't have this is so sweet!" I smiled back.
Just then I saw Minamoto-senpai walk across the field with another girl, she was pretty and had skinny legs. I teared up seeing my prince with another girl, I thought I was over him but I wasn't.
"Hey yashiro do you want-Oh." Hanako started in a clearly annoyed and disgusted tone.
"Yashiro why do you still think about him when you have me? I mean I'm way better and I treat you better." Hanako stated.
I shake off my tears and look at Hanako-kun giving him a small smile.
"Yeah thanks to you I always will have someone to call a friend!" That's what I said but after I said that Hanako looked so hurt but he quickly smiled and moved on to a different topic.

I had planned to do this for a while and spend time with yashiro. After talking to the kid yesterday I thought that it would be perfect time to confess to her as it has been a while since she got over . But clearly I was wrong, she wasn't over it. Thanks to Yashiro cleaning the bathroom I had time to take care of the red Camellias and practically begged Tsuchigomori-sensei to help him make strawberry filled rice-cakes all for this moment. All to be friend-Zoned because of . I was devastated but what could I do,I was right there was no way she would ever love me. But I can't fall apart now not when she needs support otherwise what kind of friend would I be?

I'll be posting chapters from that one in the coming months (with any luck). If you enjoyed this novel please leave a review as I'm always eager to read a critique of my work to improve my writing. - Best regards in these trying times, M.I. O'Flaherty
