《delivery girl》Ch. 10

Later that night, Daniel was walking down the street, smiling down at his phone.
'A chat room with friends.. It's like a dream! My old chat rooms used to be like a prison..' He thought to himself.
He walked down the alley the people in his chat directed him to, and his excitement only increased as his path became sketchier and sketchier.
'No way..' he thought, 'Is it...'
'One of those hidden places for gourmets?'
Daniel had to calm himself down a bit, patting his chest and wiping his mouth in his sleeve because he began to drool at the thought of a decent restaurant with friends.
Once the door into the restaurant was finally in sight, Daniel began to hype himself up.
'Let's eat, have fun and take some pictures that you can stick on your phone. Behind these doors... are my friends.'
He focused on his breathing as he placed his hand on the door handle.
'Act natural!' He reminded himself one last time before opening the door with a smile.
"H-Hi!" He said excitedly.
"Oh, you're here." A voice from inside said.
Three of the people sat at the table greeted Daniel. Zack was too busy trying to process the fact that Daniel, of all people, was here, and one of the goons was distracted with Zoe's... anatomy.
"What the fuck? Why's he here?" Zack finally choked out, cigarette still hanging from his lips.
"Hehe, surprise!" One of his followers laughed nervously.
"Come and sit, you must be hungry." Crimson chin said with a smile, cigarette smoke puffing from his mouth with every word he spoke.
Zoe, who was just begging Daniel to sit next to her, completely ignored the fact that someone was talking to Daniel and began to explain why she was there.
"I came myself and just happened to meet them. It must be fate~" she giggled.
'...right.' Someone else at the table thought.
'How'd she know about this?'
Another boy was still not over the fact that Zoe, a female human, had boobs.
'I guess it's not bad to have a girl here...' Doo and the chubby boy sitting next to her thought.
"Danny, sit here!" Zoe started again.
"No, there's space next to Zack."
"Fuck, what are you guys up to?"
Daniel blocked out the conversation and began to become nervous. 'Alcohol.. Is this okay? M..mom..'
"Here, Daniel. Take this. We've been waiting to drink with you." Someone said as they handed him a shot glass.
Daniel didn't know what to do with the tiny cup, holding it with two hands.
"Drink up!" Someone at the table cheered.
"Ah, I don't drink." Daniel said, trying to get himself out of the situation.
Everyone at the table stared at him for a few seconds before bursting into laughter.
"That's a lie!!"
"Down the hatch!"
"You really don't drink?" Asked Doo, staring at Daniel skeptically from across the table.
"Yeah.."
"Hehe, you must be a poor drinker." The pointy boy chuckled.
'No, I just don't drink!' Daniel thought to himself, beginning to grow frustrated.
Then, there was a flurry of movement from where Zack was sitting. Daniel looked over to see him throwing back shots like it was his job.
'He's suddenly tossing them back.' Daniel thought, trying his best not to look like he was judging him.
"Wow, I'm a poor drinker too! This destiny is crazy!" Zoe cooed, crossing her arms under her chest. 'Take this! My lethal loves!' She thought.

'I don't know where to look!' Daniel thought anxiously.
Instead of replying, he looked to join another conversation, but he decided not to. 'Half of the convo is four letter words..' He thought, overbearing all of the vulgarity.
'This is a mess! I've been corrupted!' Daniel thought, looking away from the table crowded with underage drinkers, vulgar smokers and lustful women.
"So Daniel..." Doo said, suddenly deciding to drag him into the conversation. "Where do you live?"
"Huh? Oh, I live alone." He answered.
The group eagerly watching him began to mumble praise.
"Cool."
"Dang, for real?"
"Sick!"
'Pfft, he lives alone?' Zack thought, beginning to drink again. 'You're At a different level, huh?'
"Let's chill there!"
"Sweet!"
"Can we come hang?"
"No!" Daniel snapped, "See, I live with a friend."
'Damn!'
"Friend?"
"Does he go to our school?"
The group questioned.
'A girl?' Zoe wondered with gritted teeth.
"Oh, he.." Daniel began, 'Hm..' Daniel thought, looking around the room for an answer.
And then, like an angel descending from heaven, he sees (Y/N) walking out of a back room of the restaurant, following after a taller figure whose face was covered with a mask and bright green hair sticking out from his hood.
(Y/N) had a black medical mask tucked under her chin and a bored expression on her face, scrolling though her phone and ignoring whatever the taller figure that was now walking beside her was saying.
"(Y/N)!" Daniel called out without thinking, causing the girl and her company to startle, whipping their heads to look at the table Daniel was sitting at.
The girl visibly deflated, and the guy standing next to her raised his eyebrows in question.
"Kids from school." She grumbled, pulling her hood off from her head and waving to Daniel, falling into a conversation with the now snickering boy next to her.
Instead of listening, the people at his table distracted him.
"(Y/N)? (Y/N) (L/N)? You live with her?" Zoe Asked, gritting her teeth. 'I don't have to worry about her too much, but still!'
"Ah, I knew I saw you guys walking together a few times..." Crimson Chin said dejectedly.
"Getting cozy pretty quickly, huh?" Doo said smugly.
Daniel felt his face begin to burn at what the skinny boy was implying.
'Why can't I say anything right?!' He thought to himself.
"No." A voice suddenly said. The group jumped and looked over to where (Y/N) was taking a seat next to Zack, leaning her bag on the edge of the table.
"I just know the kid he's talking about." She lied smoothly.
Daniel nearly burst into tears, 'Thank you!! A true savior!' He thought.
"Y-Yeah." Daniel said, doing his best to go along with whatever the girl was planning.
Zoe sighed. 'Oh thank god.' he thought.
A certain large chinned table perked up again.
"He's a dropout." (Y/N) said casually, leaning over the table to pick up a menu.
The rest of the table, except for Daniel, gasped.
'This guy!! I knew he was different, but this?!'
'Living alone with a dropout?'
"He works at night and sleeps during the day." Daniel explained.
"Yeah, if he brought home friends it wouldn't be good news." (Y/N) added, putting the icing on the cake.
'The dropout works at night?!'
'What kind of life is that?'
'Geez! So he has people on his side now, huh?' Zack thought nervously, gulping down more alcohol.

"But Danny, your clothes are a bit big. You like to wear oversized styles?" Zoe Asked, pushing herself onto his side.
'Why's he not looking at me? Look here! (Y/N) doesn't have what I have!' She thought jealously.
"Uhh, these are my friend's clothes." Daniel said, looking to the girl across the table, who was reading the menu, for help.
The girl looked up at him, realizing what he was asking for.
"Oh yeah, he's a big guy. Huge." (Y/N) says, subtly nodding at Daniel, who sighed in relief.
'It's funny, because he's actually fat'. Daniel thought, 'She's a real life saver, though.'
'A gangster!' The rest of the table thought.
'100% gangster!'
'If (Y/N) knows him, he's the real deal..'
'A chubby night working gangster!'
'Scary guy!'
'This guy, associating himself with gangsters!'
'A scoundrel, he's more dangerous than we thought!'
'Crap! Crap!! Crap!!' Zack thought, beginning to guzzle soju again.
"Hey kids," an unfamiliar voice called out. "Anyone else coming?"
"Yeah, our friend just arrived." Crimson Chin said, smiling at (Y/N). The girl attempted to smile back, but it looked more like a grimace than anything.
"Okay, you kids just stay out of trouble and keep quiet then, okay?" She asked.
'The owner!' Daniel thought, watching at the woman took out a writing pad.
'Ma'am, we are underage!' Daniel internally ratted everyone at the table out. 'Give us the boot!'
"Is there anything you'd like," the woman started, when she looked up her face lit up with delight.
"(Y/N)! I didn't think you'd order tonight!" She said with a smile.
"A small order of kimchi, rice and some hot tea, please." (Y/N) listed quietly.
The older woman's attention was no longer on (Y/N) though, her eyes hungrily ran over Daniel as she scribbled the order down.
"Of course, anything for you, cutie!" The owner cooed as she ruffled (Y/N)'s hair absentmindedly, causing the girl to grumble.
'Oh my! Who's this pretty boy?' The owner wondered. 'My husband passed away ten years ago! Is this his present from heaven to cure my loneliness?!' She wondered with a gasp, still distractedly running her manicured fingers through (Y/N)'s hair.
From heaven, her husband scoffed. "You wish."
When (Y/N) finally grabbed the woman's wrist, she pulled away and slid to the table to sit beside Daniel.
"Hey, kid. Something else you want to eat?" She asked, grabbing Daniel's arm.
'Huh?' Daniel thought, trying to shuffle away.
"No thanks..." Daniel answered quietly, growing shy under the older woman's attention.
"Pick anything, it's on the house." She continued.
"Wow ma'am, you rock!" The boy cheered.
"But just you and (Y/N), since any friend of my favorite customer is a friend of mine." She finished, making the boys deflate again.
Zoe was sitting there, totally silent and completely shook.
"Danny! Have some of this!" She suddenly shouted, pressing her chest to Daniel's arm again. "Say ah~"
The older woman flinched and grit her teeth as she listened to Zoe steal Daniel's attention.
"Ah my... my hair keeps on coming loose." The woman laughed, lifting her arms to tie her hair up.
"So hot for September." She sighed.
"Danny I'm hot too!" Zoe whined.
"Oh I'm hotter!"
"Then I'm..."
The three goon's noses began to gush blood as they watched the two females battle for Daniel's attention.
Even the stone faced (Y/N) was getting a case of second hand embarrassment and tried to hide in her black hoodie.
Daniel shifted uncomfortably under all of the attention.
'It's freaky!' Daniel thought, he could sense all of the tension in the room.
'Who's this cougar?' Zoe thought with a growl.
'Who's this skank?' The owner wondered with just as much aggression.
Daniel broke into a nervous sweat from his seat in the crossfire. 'Girls are creepy!'
Zack threw back another shot, his cheeks now red and his movements were sluggish. 'You're all nuts. I miss Mira.'
Across the restaurant, three adults grumbled as the looked at the rowdy table of teens.
"Hey look there."
"Those punks-"
"Look like school kids, huh?"
"So fucking noisy."
"Goddamn piece of shit losers." The largest of the adults growled, his eyes zoning in on Zoe's chest and he blushed. He then looked over to his less endowed girlfriend.
"Look at that skank with her boobs out." He hissed, a lit cigarette held between her fingers. "Just knock it off already. Looks like a slut, right? So annoying."
'Yeah, it's annoying.' Her boyfriend thought, biting his tongue at the sight of his girlfriend's flat chest.
At this point in time, Zack has slowed down significantly. He gulped down one last shot before slamming his face on the table.
(Y/N) jumped, choking on a mouthful of rice.
"Hey, slow down!" Doo snapped. "Why's this douche slamming them back today?"
Zack groaned from his place on the table.
'Man he's hammered. No way am I ever gonna drink.' Daniel thought, looking down at him.
There was a sudden bump on his arm, and he looked down to see a steaming glass filled with warm liquid near him arm.
He looked up at (Y/N) who was pouring herself another cup of tea, not looking at him.
'Man, she's really looking out for me today! She's a true friend.' Daniel thought with a smile, picking up the cup and taking a sip and burning his tongue.
He heard quiet snickering, and he looked up to see (Y/N) covering her mouth and looking away, before shaking her head and looking back down to the two small bowls in front of her.
He let a smile creep onto his face, before Zack popped up like a jack in the box, making Daniel flinch and block his face with his arms.
'He's gonna hit me again!' Daniel thought.
"Y-you're really handsome. I'm jealous." Zack giggled, a blush covering his cheeks as he rested his chin in the palm of his hand.
'Whaaaaa?'
"Let's be friends." He said, leaning over the table to get closer to Daniel's face.
Daniel leaned back, still blocking his face. 'Whaa?'
"Let's hug it out, okay?" He said, looking down at Daniel.
(Y/N)'s eyes went wide as she scrambled to grab the back of Zack's sweater.
As soon as Zack was able to smack a smooch onto Daniel's cheek, (Y/N) yanks him back and causes Zack to stumble and plop back into his seat.
'What?' Daniel thought to himself. 'What the hell?!'
The group shuddered.
"Here we go again."
"He gets troublesome when he's drunk."
"Oh god."
Zoe was trembling.
"Daniel-" Zack began, struggling to get up and stumbling to sit next to Daniel. "You know Mira's mine. Right? (Y/N) is a cool kid, you should try chatting her up."
Daniel looked over to (Y/N), who was scowling and looking away, but her cheeks were still red.
'Drunk people are troublesome.' Daniel thought with an annoyed sigh.
Zoe was trying to keep herself from giggling as she poured soju into Daniel's cup of tea, taking advantage of Zack distracting him.
"Danny, you have a drink... You must be tired." She said, passing the tainted cup of tea to him.
"Eh? Thanks." Daniel said, reaching out to take the cup. 'She's kind too.'
He took a huge sip from the cup, and the group eagerly waited to see his reaction.
'It's booze!' Daniel thought, spraying the drink over everyone in front of him as the rest of the table.
(Y/N) peeked over the menu that she blocked herself with and narrowed her eyes at Daniel.
'I thought it was water. But it was alcohol.' Daniel thought guiltily.
"Hey, that wasn't nice. (Y/N) could have gotten all wet." Zack scolded.
"Haha!"
"Go to sleep!"
"Lol, shut up!"
'Liquor, I drank it!' Sorry mom. I'm still seventeen!' He thought, holding back tears. 'I committed a crime.'
The table laughed as Daniel had a crisis.
"Ah, fuck." An outsider's voice barked.
"Just keep it the fuck down." It continued, making the group turn around the look at who was talking to them.
The three adults who were complaining earlier smirked when the teens looked over at them.
"Kids nowadays have no goddamn manners."
"We should teach them a lesson, hehe."
"They'll hear you." The skinny woman said with a wicked grin.
"Who cares? I mean, what are they gonna do?" Large man with probably fake chains chuckled.
'Those guys are frightening.' Daniel thought nervously, looking down at his lap. 'Are they talking loudly on purpose? Maybe we should keep it down...' he glanced to see what the rest of the group's reaction was.
He first looked to (Y/N), who rolled her eyes and leaned her forehead into her hand.
The three goons were glaring at the adults and baring their teeth.
"You know girls with ugly faces walk around with their boobs out." The flat chested woman simpered.
Daniel's has dropped.
"They think they're voluptuous."
'But your boobs are out too!' He thought. 'Who is she talking about?'
He looked over to Zoe, who was growling, and cracked a shot glass in her hand.
'Huh? It's about her!' Daniel thought.
He heard a clink and looked in front of him. (Y/N) places her cup on the table, and placed both of her hands next to it, and cranes her neck to give the adults a cold look. One of the scariest looks Daniel had ever seen.
'Boy, am I glad she's not looking at me like that..' Daniel thought.
'But if they're not talking about her, then why is (Y/N) so mad?' Daniel wondered.
