Naruto's pov
A sharp ringing noise jolted me awake. My eyes opened only to be greeted by an assault of white light, blinding me as I blinked.
A groan of discomfort escaped my mouth as I slowly started to sit up. I grimaced as a piercing pain shot up my spine.
"W-Where am i?" I whispered, my voice broken and rough. A dry cough pushed its way up my throat as my body practically begged for water.
"Naruto!" A loud voice called as hands quickly, yet gently, pushed me back down.
"T-Temari?" I croak as I stare at her in confusion. She smiled sadly as she ran her figures threw my red tainted blond locks.
"Hey. How are ya feeling?" She muttered softly as a second figure arrived, holding a much needed glass if water.
"I...I'm alright...what are you guys doing here? Temari? Kankuro?" I asked, quickly drink the water with Kankuros help.
"We were called back...." kankuro muttered. Even though his face was passive I could practically feel the rage pouring off him.
"...Why? Where's Gaara? What happened?" I rambled desperately.
Tamari quickly grabbed my hands and looked me dead in the eyes. She sighed before speaking.
"Naruto...The kazekage tower was attacked....we found you in the rubble...and no sign of Gaara..."
