Gaaras pov

Well. I sent out the letter explaining the deal, however, konoha refused to apologize. They believe that Naruto deserved the way he was treated and said it was ridiculous that he should get an apology. They also said he should be the one to apologize for leaving them in the midst of war. What an entitled village. They should be ashamed.

"What's wrong Gaara?" Naruto asked from his spot in the corner of my office.

"I just got the reply from Konoha." I said and he sighed.

"They refused, didn't they." He stated and I nodded, setting the letter down. I glanced at him and watched his eyes. He looked so hurt and his eyes were filled with disappointment.

"They do not deserve help. They have thrown away their chance of saving the alliance and have disrespected the son of their beloved forth Hokage." I said as I stood. Brushing off my robes as I smiled at Naruto. "They don't deserve you."

"Yeah. Thanks Gaara." He said looking down with a shy smile. I chuckled and hugged him.

"This village welcomes you with open arms. You don't need to worry about how they will treat you. this can be your new home if you let it." He nodded and hugged back.

"Thank you."
