《Set Apart》Chapter 35~

(The amount of attention this story has gotten is crazy. This story line was based off of a daydream that I had and my friend just told me to write about it. I never actually thought it would get this much attention. But thank you so much for reading past the 1st chapter ❤️. And I promise I have the whole plot figured out already and it's only going to get better from here.)
"I told the waiter to spit in his food and left."
"As you should've. And it's been 2 days?" Topanga asked. We were at her locker when I was telling her about my date on Friday.
"Yeah. But hopefully today we'll talk about it and clear the air."
"Clear the air? He was acting like a douche what's to clear?"
"Obviously, but I just wanna know what got into him. He's normally not like that. I just want an apology and an explanation. Then we could go back to normal."
"Are you sure you don't wanna think about this more? I mean I don't know about you but I heard a few red flags in that story."
"What 'red flags'?"
"Well first off he was rude to the wait staff. Second he got super jealous when you were just being nice to another guy. Then he got mad at you for disagreeing with him about what you wanted to order? I don't know Cris, this all just sits weird with me."
"I get what you're saying. But i've known Derek for a while now and he would just burst like that. He probably just had a bad day."
"If you say so." She said as she shut her locker.
"Oh and by the way could you keep the date info on the down low. I don't want the boys to know."

"Why not?"
"You know how they are with Derek. I just want to clear the air with Derek before they start meddling and getting on Derek's case. Besides it's best if Cory and Shawn don't know."
"Best if we don't know what?" I saw Cory and Shawn come out from the corner and walk up to us.
"Oh just girl stuff." I mean date details technically falls under girl talk so it wasn't 100% a lie.
Cory put a hand up. "Say no more. I've learned my lesson from last time I asked about girl stuff and you both gave EXPLICIT details about your aunt flow." He shuddered a bit, reliving the memory.
Shawn laughed at him and Cory gave him a glare.
"Anyways have you guys seen Derek?" I asked.
"I think I saw him in the cafeteria." Shawn said.
"Okay thanks. See you guys later."
I pat Shawn and Cory on the shoulders as I left. When I got to the cafeteria I saw Derek sitting at the table on the far side of the room. Once the door fell closed again he looked up at me. He looked so sincere and apologetic and I quickly walked over to him. He saw me and got up too. Once we were standing directly in front of each other I gave him a hug.
"I am so sorry about Friday night. I got into a fight with my dad before I got there and then after you left I felt awful but I didn't know how I was gonna make it up to you or apologize. And next thing I knew 2 days had gone by and I just—"
"Hey." I pulled back and looked at him right in the eyes. "It's okay. Everybody has bad days and i'm just glad that there was an explanation."

"So you forgive me?"
I sighed. Even thought I felt a little uneasy, I had to give him the benefit of the doubt. "Of course."
He pulls me into another hug. "Thank you Cristina. I'm so glad we can just put this behind us."
"Me too." I smiled at him.
It was just a bad day. He meant well in the beginning. And we couldn't have prevented him and his dad getting into a fight that day. It was just a mood swing.
It was only a mood swing.
After Cristina rushes off to the cafeteria, Topanga looked around to make sure she was gone and faced us again.
"Okay, i'm not supposed to tell you this but I think you both should know."
"No period talk Topanga, please. I wanted to go get tacos after this." Cory pleaded.
Topanga rolled her eyes. "No Cory, girl talk was a cover up. We were talking about her date with Derek."
"I don't wanna hear it Topanga." I told her.
"Oh, so you don't wanna hear about how he was rude the whole night and that they are probably fighting about it right now?" She crossed her arms.
I raised my eyebrows. "Okay I will admit, my interest is peaked."
"What happened Topanga?" Cory smiled.
"I've already shared more information then i'm supposed to, but let's just say that she left before the food came and told him off."
"So are they breaking up?" Cory asked.
"I don't know but I wouldn't be surprised. He hasn't spoken to her since their date on Friday and they both seemed kinda upset about it."
I realized something. "Wait, if you guys were talking about her date, then why did she say that she didn't want us to know?"
"Oh please, as soon as she would've told you both that something was wrong you would've overreacted and immediately meddled."
Cory and I gasped.
"Us. Meddle?" Cory put his hand on his chest as he look offended.
"We would do nothing of the sort?" I said finishing his sentence.
Topanga rolls her eyes again. "Yeah whatever, i'm only telling you this because I don't trust the guy and I think she finally is noticing that she can't either."
Cory's face suddenly falls. "Um I don't know about that Topanga."
We both give him a confused look and he points over to Derek and Cristina coming out of the cafeteria holding hands. It's like nothing happened. I had a feeling she would forgive him. She always was super understanding.
But I have a feeling that this time she's being understanding to a fault.

Who Knows?
"Watch it.""Watch it," I mock him in a whisper, feeling brave. Suddenly, he gets up from his stool and stalks towards me. His large frame towering over my sitting form. I swallow the last bit of my pancakes slowly, my eyes wandering up his body until they stop at his face. He seems displeased. Very much so. His hand grabs the part where my head and neck connect and he slowly but firmly tilts my head back, his fingers tangling in my hair. His skin is rough on mine but still oddly comforting."What did you just say?" He asks, each of his words pronounced slowly and precisely. "I-I-I j-just.. I was j-just joking." I barely choke out. "You were just joking, huh?" "Mhm." I nod, my head subconsciously leaning into his touch my eyes closing on their own accord. His thumb caresses my cheekbone and I never want him to stop. I have never had a male being make me feel this good before. Don't get me wrong I did kiss a few people but it never felt as good as what he is doing right now. "Romy?""Yes," I breathe out, biting my lip. His thumb is quick in pulling it from between my teeth. "Nevermind." He rushes out, detaching his hand from my face.Hey Guys! I hope you enjoy my story.
