I got out of the airport only to be pulled into a bone crushing hug. The smell of that person was very masculine and it made me feel safe and protected.
"Sis, I missed you soooo much. The last time we saw each other was when we were 14!" PJ said and finally pulled away so that I can breathe and kissed my forehead.
I have to say PJ was a good looking guy. No wonder girls always dig him. But he never paid them any attention and I always wondered why.
"I missed you too PJ" I said with a warm smile on my face. PJ was also going to turn 18 this year but he was a few months older than me.
"Come on, let's get going, mom and dad are dying to see you" he said. I chuckled and nodded. He grabbed my luggages and we headed towards his car and no doubt he had a BMW. These guys were loaded.
We pulled up and started heading for his house.
"Welcome to Chicago Jackie" PJ mumbled while driving.
We reached his house in 30 minutes. And damn I have to say his house was wayyyy bigger than mine.
As soon as I stepped inside I heard a familiar voice "Honey oh god you look so pretty, you always were the prettiest one" my aunt said pulling me in yet another bone-crushing hug.
There is something really wrong with my family and their obsession with hugs. My uncle came out of nowhere and you can guess what happened next. YES. Another bear hug.
"How have you been Jackie Wackie?" he asked with a huge smile on his face.
He and PJ almost looked alike except for the fact that PJ looked younger whereas my uncle looked kinda old.

"I'm doing great. I am so excited to explore new things. I can't wait" I said while jumping from excitement. They all laughed at my childish behaviour.
"PJ show Jackie her room and please for god's sake don't annoy her. I know you can be a little too much somwtimes" my aunt said while giving him a playful glare.
PJ put his arms up in surrender.
This house was even prettier from the inside. Just like a castle. PJ opened the door of a random room and when I saw that room I fell in love with it.
The room was so huge with a king sized bed at the center, two small side tables beside the bed, a walk in closet and my favourite one was the full length mirror.
There was also a cute study table with a fluffy rolling chair.
"This.Is.Soo.Pretty" I screamed and hugged PJ.
He shook his head in amusement but hugged me back nonetheless. "Well you better freshen up sis, you know you have to start school from tomorrow." I groaned and kicked him out of my room.
"I can't wait for tomorrow. I will make new friends and maybe even find my dream guy. But what if they don't like me?
With that thought I freshened up and went to sleep after the long and tired and exhausting day I had.

Just a little note: I'm a big believer in endings that are upbeat but not candy-coated, and not a fan of grim-and-gritty or of glamorized violence. These are adults in a difficult situation. However, no one gets raped, and the physical violence is, all things considered, fairly minimal. There is some harassment, sexual and otherwise, and also some mild restraint and mild verbal abuse. Complicating factors are generally wizardly or fae in nature. As if they were several series in one, where each protagonist advances at their own pace. At first, the story of each character will advance slowly, so I ask you to be patient. Soon, you will discover a story of extreme survival in a medieval fantasy world. A story, a bit dark, that can also be a bit comical at certain moments. But above all, it can be harsh and cruel to its protagonists. I’ve introduced LitRPG elements in a very soft and almost non-existent way at the beginning of the story. As the story progresses, they will become more and more abundant, depending on the protagonist. Emily is the main and first protagonist of "Daughters of the Void". After her; Dianna, Tanya and others. Above all, I’m looking for your immersion, so I will make you aware of most of the thoughts of the protagonists. I also want the reader to feel some uncertainty, putting yourselves in the shoes of some girls who can't find what they lack. I look for realism, but also to surprise myself. Around chapter 25 there is an awakening of the protagonists. Moment in which they will begin to behave as they really want to be. Unrivaled adventurers. Heroines of legend. The secondary protagonists were created to cover some deficiencies that I noticed that the series had when it was only Emily, so their chapters will be more sporadic.
