《Falling in Love with a Playboy || NCT Jaehyun ||》Chapter 9

Jangmi was fuming. She indeed had made a mistake in believing Jaehyun. He was just a playboy, a bad boy, nothing more than that.
She left the room and went downstairs to the party hall and bumped into Johnny. She immediately retracted and bowed at him.
"H-hi, Johnny. W-why are you h-here?" She asked him, hesitantly.
"I am being dumped, at this very moment, Jangmi." He said with a huff.
"What? You being dumped? Don't tell me. Nobody could have the guts to dump you." She said to him in a mocking tone.
Then it clicked.
"You are Jennie's date?" She almost screamed and clamped her mouth with her hand.
"In a matter of fact, yes. I was the date of Jennie." He said sadly.
"But, why?" Jangmi asked curious.
"Cause I loved her. The moment she stepped into my teacher's room, I fell in love. I knew she was a troublemaker, but I thought that she could, maybe tiny bit, change herself." He explained. A tear rolled down his cheek.
"So, one day, I plucked up the courage and confessed to her. She told me that she could accept my confession only of I date and dump you later on. I am sorry, Jangmi. I was a fool." Tears were now streaming his face.
"But today, when I told her that I would be going to meet the other people, she nodded and at the right time slipped with Jaehyun." He ordered another drink and drank it whole in a one shot.
"I am so sorry, Jangmi. I felt pathetic after what I did. I used you. I am really sorry." He said and looked in Jangmi's eyes.
"It's okay, Johnny. We are all fools who wanted to be loved. But, were used by the wrong people." Jangmi patted his back and went to meet her parents.

"Hey, Jangmi! Watcha doin'?" Mark's voice could be heard around. Jangmi turned and saw him with a swarm of girls. She nodded and went off.
The party ended and Jangmi wanted to smash the glass of her car's window. Jung Jaehyun used her.
That freaking playboy used her. It was a humiliation on her part.
I reached home and immediately texted Rose. Rose was quick to reply, and agreed to meet me tomorrow after class.
The classes went smoothly. No sign of Jaehyun at the campus. That pervert should never come before my eyes or I'll pop his eyes out of his body.
I reached Rose's and my meeting place and Rose was already waiting for me with Taeyong.
"We've got a bad news, Jangmi." Rose spoke slowly and had her gaze fixed on the ground.
"What now could be worse than this?" Jangmi shouted, unable to control her anger.
"I actually met Mark after Jaehyun agreed to date you." Taeyong spoke, with his ever so sweet, calm voice.
"Jaehyun was actually trying to persuade him to to the bet, which we had told him to cancel." He looked disappointed.
"And the day before the party, Mark agreed and Jaehyun won the bet." He said in a low voice.
"What bet?" Jangmi asked, not happy with where the conversation was going.
"The bet that you are only the person who has not fallen for him. And you did ask him to date you, so he won." Rose spoke uneasily.
"So it was all for a freaking bet?!!" Jangmi shouted, crying uncontrollably.
I was used by Jaehyun to just make him win a bet?
No sincere feelings, no love, no emotion, nothing. Just plain emptiness flowed in Jaehyun at that time, right?
I went home and told the whole story to Jungkook. He was actually quite understanding and mumbled a few encouraging words for me to cheer up.

I was clearly pissed.
I went home and started with my homework. As I was solving the physics questions, I heard mom calling my name.
I went to her room hurriedly and asked what the commotion was all about.
Mom, dad and Jungkook were sitting and looked at me with a sad expression.
I looked at Jungkook and mouthed a 'What is it all about?' But he remained silent and looked at me with dismay.
"Mom, why is everybody silent if you wanted to call me?" I asked curiously.
"Well, you know Jangmi, things did not go as planned and.." she stopped in between making me nervous.
"And what mom? Did something serious happen?" I could feel my hands getting cold and sweaty.
"Umm, you could say so. See, we will be back in a few months after everything is settled." She stopped and looked at me.
"Wha- where are you going, mom?" I asked her, surprised.
"We would be going back, sweetheart and we want you to stay here till you finish your studies." It was dad who piped in now.
"But what exactly is the problem?" I asked them. No, no that is not what I am thinking.
"We actually-" dad was cut off by Jungook.
"We are freaking bankrupt!" Jungkook bellowed making everyone jump.
"What? Bankrupt? But why?" I asked them now feeling anxious.
"I believe that there is a problem and we need to solve it. So we would be leaving you here." Mom told me and patted my back.
"So I would be living here with Jungkook?" I asked them eying Jungkook who shakes his head to a 'no'.
"Why? Where would you be going, huh? You can't just leave me here. Understood?" I ordered him strongly.
"Nope, sister. I have to go back and prepare for the comeback. So see you soon!" He happily went back to his room.
"Now that everything is clarified, you need to go to the Jung's house to live." Dad said calmly.
"But why their house?" I questioned uncomfortably.
"Because they are the safest people to be with and Mrs Jung likes you a lot." Mom said smiling at me.
"No mom! I would never live there with Jaehyun!" I shouted at her.
"Then try to find another solution." Dad told me and I ran towards my phone to call Rose.
I called her and asked her that I would be coming to stay with her from tomorrow but the answer I got was something else.
"Um, Jangmi, I am actually not living there. The day you moved out, I went to Taeyong's apartment to live. So I am really sorry." Click. That was it.
I smiled in dismay and went back to Mom's room and broke the news to her.
Now, it was fixed. I would be living in Jaehyun's house till mom and dad come back. And God knows when will they come.
Crap, just crap. What did I get myself into?
