《Falling in Love with a Playboy || NCT Jaehyun ||》Chapter 7

Jangmi was confused. Why in the whole world would he, that trash bag save her? When he is the one who bullied her?
Johnny and Jennie left after Jaehyun's drama and the whole hallway became normal.
Jangmi then went to Rose's class to find her. She met her and Taeyong near the garden, strolling hand in hand and enjoying the view.
She immediately ran into her arms and cried uncontrollably. She, Rose and Taeyong then sat down and Jangmi narrated her whole story.
"Maybe it's high time that you find a boyfriend, Jangmi." Rose looked serious.
"But you know I can't!" Jangmi sobbed.
"Why? Cause you think that you are no good? Look, there is no person who is not eligible to date and even I, got a chance to date with Rose." This was unusual for Taeyong to speak up.
"He is right. Go all out, Jangmi!" Rose cheered her on.
"Okay, okay I'll try." Jangmi got up and went back home.
There was no point in attending the other classes after what happened.
She went home and hugged Jungkook. She told him and her parents the entire story and they were shocked.
"Its final now. You are going to date Jaehyun!" Her mom shouted on top of her lungs.
"She is right. Jae is perfect for you. I approve him." Even her father agreed.
"Well, Jae and I are friends. So, no issues." Jungkook piped.
"Wait. Since when did you and that jerk be friends?" Jangmi narrowed.
"Since the time I was in States for my tours." He solemnly answered.
Jangmi went back to her room and locked herself. Did her family go insane? How could they force her to date Jaehyun?
Even a cockroach would be better than him, huh!

I can't believe it! What were my parents thinking? Me and Jaehyun? Ew, no.
I texted Rose and told her. She seemed okay. I asked her if she was siding up with my family and she said yes. That stupid old woman!
I then asked her why. Why does she think I should date Jaehyun and her answer somewhat made sense.
Hey dumb kid, if you haven't come to your senses then I will open your eyes. First of all, you need a personal bodyguard for protecting you from Jennie. Secondly, you need some form of moral support and show everyone that you are not a 'slut' as Johnny mentioned. And third, that nerds can also date.
After that, she went offline. I tried to call her and the worst was, she picked up unconsciously and all I heard was heavy breathing and Taeyong kissing her and saying her I love you.
Wrong number.
I got up from my bed and wondered. Was it really okay to date? But Jaehyun? I don't know. Is he the Mr Right or a Wrong number?
I decided to give it a try.
I texted him a "are you free? Can we meet?"
I don't know why but I am really feeling nervous now. What if he said no? What if he too uses me? After all, he is a playboy.
He soon replied with a "can't talk. In a club."
What the heavens is going to happen?
I went down to have dinner. The dinner was silent. I could only hear Jungkook's bad eating habits and glared at him. He just rolled his eyes.
Morning came and I became determined to find Jaehyun. I am in a desperate need of a boyfriend.
I was walking around the campus with Mark. We barely meet Taeyong now. He is so in love with Rose.

I wonder why Jangmi texted?
As I was about to enter the class, I got pulled in another room. I was shocked, but then relaxed to see Jangmi.
As long as it is not Johnny, everything is okay.
"You being feisty, baby?" I asked her with my signature smile.
"I need your help. That is why I texted you." She looked at me with her ever so drop dead serious eyes.
"What is it, gorgeous? Need your grades up or what?" I teased.
"That. I need you to call me that everyday." She said not looking in my eyes.
"What, princess? Need me to call you what?" I pressed her more.
"Call me what you said before." She looked at me irritated.
"What did I say before? To tutor me? Or your grades are falling?" I asked her. She isn't thinking of what I am, right?
"Not that. Call me this. Listen. gorgeousbabybeautifulandprincess." She mumbled under her breath.
"What? Care to repeat that?" I asked her.
"BECOME MY BOYFRIEND, JAEHYUN!" She screamed and then looked down.
"What? For real? Me and you? Why?" I asked her, dumbfounded by her statement.
"I don't know, but please." She held my hand and trembled.
"Well, on a condition." I stated.
"What? What is it?" She cried.
"I can kiss you whenever I like. Well, you can too do that. And hugs are free. Hand holding and other things are complementary with that." I bend down on her eye level and looked at her.
She took a moment and then breathed. She wiped her tears and nodded.
"Okay. I agree. But not more than that. Not in so much of hurry. I need time." She looked at me, scared.
"Yes, nothing more." I smiled.
"B-but there is something else too." She said and her eyebrows crossed.
"What? A contract or something? Like for a year or so?" I asked feeling uncomfortable.
"No, no contract, but no clubs and no partying." She stated, strongly.
"Like, aren't we getting too possessive? But okay, then I can just come to your house and hang out with Jungkook. And maybe kiss you here and there. And I can meet Mark and Tae, right?" I asked her. Man, she is really going to be great. I can sense it.
Anyways, going to the club is really frustrating too. Those silly girls trying to get in our pockets. Thankfully, it is an end to that.
"Deal is done now. You may go." She instructed me.
I held her shoulders and kissed her sweetly on her cheeks.
"Its Day 1 now, baby. And I love you. So freaking much." I winked at her and she blushed.
So cute.

Candor: The Forgotten House
*** Please read note below *** As a 16-year-old mage from a powerful family, Jayce Candor had known from a young age what his future would hold. As the fourth son in his family the possibility of him becoming the heir to the household was very small. But, with his talent as a mage, his potential accomplishments in the military could lead to titles of nobility and political power. However, on what would otherwise be an unremarkable night, everything he had ever known, the only people he ever cared for, and all of the plans for his future were destroyed. House Candor, one of the six great houses that helped build the Eldoran Empire had been erased from history. By imperial decree, all those bearing the name Candor were hunted down and executed as traitors of the Empire. With no home, no family, and only death waiting for him, Jayce decided to escape north to the uncharted Northern Territories to begin a new life. Forced into situations he was never prepared for and trying to cope with his past, Jayce tries to find safety in a place spoken about only in legends. There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here

On the Road to Elspar (Book 1)
The year is 1329. The Huntress' War has entered its tenth year, inflaming competing nationalisms and pitting the Confederacy of Caldrein against one of the continent's superpowers, the Tenereian Union. Desperately outnumbered, the Confederacy has relied on the prowess of its famed Caldran mercenaries, with highly-trained and experienced warbands returning from foreign conflicts to the defense of their homeland, and it is on their backs that Caldrein has successfully mounted a valiant defense for a decade. But they are losing, and day by day, with all the grace of a sledgehammer, the vast Tenereian armies take one more bit of Caldran territory, one footstep at a time. Sixteen-year-old Neianne from the village of Caelon has submitted herself to Faulkren Academy, one of the centuries-old institutions established to train the next generation of Caldrein's elite soldiers of fortune, to learn the ways of wars for three years before embarking upon the defense of her country. Her dryad family once hailed from reclusive woodland communes isolated from Caldrein's complicated mainstream society, and her upbringing leaves the shy village girl unprepared to suddenly train alongside other apprentices from backgrounds as low as the dirty slums of Caldrein's cities and as high as the halls of aristocratic power. Yet the war is eroding the norms and traditions that the Caldran people have long considered part of their national mythos, and the tensions within the confederacy that have long simmered under the surface - race, class, community, identity - are slowly but surely dividing its people, and Neianne must grow and discover who she really is, even as the war that she is steadfastly training for comes to its inexorable end... On the Road to Elspar is a fantasy quest - a work of interactive fiction wherein readers get to vote on what happens next at critical junctures - that is the first entry in a story that follows Neianne of Caelon, which first began on July 20, 2016. Originally a three-part in medias res prologue to a larger story titled On the Elsparian Road, it was eventually decided that this section - which covers Neianne's three years at Faulkren Academy - become its own independent story due to length, structural, and accessibility reasons. Despite this being a reader interactive work of fiction, due to logistical and verification concerns, voting will only be counted on its thread on the forum Sufficient Velocity, where this story originally began. As such, the content here on Royal Road serves as a story-only archive. You are, of course, entirely welcome to enjoy On the Road to Elspar as a conventional work of fiction, just as you are welcome to comment, discuss, and provide critique. But if you would like to participate in the voting, then I would be honored to welcome you on Sufficient Velocity. To facilitate accessibility and to ensure the best reading experience, this story-only version of On the Road to Elspar will be updated at a periodic pace, even though further content exists, so as to not overwhelm new readers on Royal Road. If you enjoy this story, wish to binge it, and/or want to participate in voting immediately, you may of course read all additional content via the link provided above. This paragraph will be removed once the content on Royal Road catches up with what has already been posted in its original thread. Cover artwork by DreamSyndd.

Kichiro's Rampage
Meet Kichiro, the son of a samurai. A social outcast, he leaves his home with nothing but a musket and a sword, determined to carve himself a niche in a chaotic world of dragons and leviathans. This fiction incorporates LitRPG elements, but it's not set in a VR. It's set in a fantastical world based loosely on East Asia in the 16th and 17th Century, when the Ming Dynasty was on its last legs, with the addition of magic and monsters. I totally stole the stat tables from Exterminatus, the author of Everybody Loves Large Chests, so let me credit him for that. I'm new to writing so please don't hesitate to criticise, and reviews would be greatly appreciated.
