"You drugged us?"
The girl followed me to the gym and told me that they were testing out some vitamins to help our wolves get stronger while we wait for our mates. It was stupid but I was too clouded with Everest that I took the pills and passed out on the bench two minutes later.
It was stupid of me. But now my mind was completely filled with questions and thoughts that someone was out to get me. I was probably being paranoid. After speaking to the guards, they later informed me that the girl of that description has never been seen before and she couldn't be found. I mainly wanted to be alone but I had people coming to my room asking if I was okay, mostly just wanting to know what happened for gossip. So I thought going to the place no one would ever think to find me at.
The library.
I hated reading, failed literature at school, and never really cared. It wasn't anything personal, I just preferred watching the movies instead of reading all those words. It was a better place to get away because people were avoiding that place. Everyone was shaken up after what happened, knowing that the attacker was among us.
The chairs were comfy inside here so I wasted no time plugging in my headphones and loading a game with my feet on the coffee table. Suddenly, the door opened. "Bradey, there you are. I've been looking for you everywhere," Enrico shocked me by saying. I stay at him as he walked into the library hesitantly. To say I was mortified and very confused would be an understatement. He knows my name? He knows I exist? I never had an actual conversation with him when though I tend to stalk him sometimes.

"Hi, um- w-what can I help you with?" I stuttered, trying to control myself. His eyes were engulfed with guilt and I became even more confused. "Look, I need you to hear me out. I really didn't mean to and I know it's messed up but please, don't hate me," he pleaded. I nodded my head so he could continue speaking. He sighed, looking around the library. "I'm so sorry! I just- I was so jealous of seeing you both together and the girl said she could help me. I didn't think she meant trying to kill you both. It was never meant for you I swear, I'm so sorry. It was never my intention to hurt you. I'd never hurt you. I was just so jealous. I thought you weren't into me and I got so upset," he rambled off but I heard every single word.
"You drugged us?" I summarized. It was what I gathered, it was obvious but I really didn't want it to be true. "I didn't mean to- she didn't tell me that she was going to kill you guys," he mumbled in shame. Suddenly, the growl ripped through the room and Enrico was grabbed by claws and thrown against the bookshelves.
"You're the one who tried to kill her?" My eyes snapped to William. He grabbed Enrico by the throat and dragged him up the shelf with his wolf eyes peeking through. "William, you're hurting him," I shakingly said.
My body was going into panic mode.
"I don't care, he needs to pay for trying to kill her," William spat.
I basically loved Enrico and though he was behind the drug incident, I knew he was somewhat innocent. He's fifteen and he was jealous. I'm not even going to think about how he practically admitted to having feelings for me also. William, my king, was about to kill him. Trying to save Enrico would get us both killed but what if there was someone who could get through with William?

When I realized it was worth a shot, I ran out of the room at full speed towards the rooms.
I slammed my door behind me and ran after Bradey. Surprisingly, he took me to the library and that's where everything made sense.
William had his hand wrapped around a younger guy's throat. His feet were off the ground and William slowly pushed him further up the bookshelf. The boy's face was red and eyes were consumed with fear. "William!" I screamed, running to him and trying to pull him off the boy. He stiffened slightly but didn't remove his grip from the boy. "Enrico tried to kill you, he needs to pay," William growled out.
My eyes widened in shock. That's impossible. He had to be only sixteen years, how could he be capable of something like that? "He didn't mean it, I swear Everest. Just help him," Bradey continued to plead. He had to be. If Bradey was defending him and it was known that William overreacts sometimes.
"William, you need to let go of him. Hurting him isn't worth it because Bradey and I forgive him," I pressed, trying to pull him away. He didn't budge but thankfully loosened his grip slightly. "He needs to die, Everest. Don't you get that?" His head snapped to mine. I stepped back slightly when I noticed his glowing golden eyes. His wolf was angry at Enrico. He was practically controlling William, well... more like acting out his wants.
"William, listen to my voice. Let go of him, this isn't worth it," I started," he's young, there's probably an explanation for all of this. Let's hear him out and deal with this after." Yes, he was doing this for justice but it was wrong when I'm sure he knew nothing about the situation.
He was staring deep into my eyes and unwillingly, our surroundings faded away. I could feel the force trying to pull us closer together, I knew he felt it too. The gold in his eyes slowly faded into soft brown ones. They turned back to Enrico and removed his grip from around his neck. Enrico fell to the group, gasping for air and coughing up. Bradey raced to his side with tears in his eyes.
The anger seeped in and my fists balled. How could he try to kill a kid? What is wrong with him. "Bradey, go get a doctor to check up on him or something," I suggested. Bradey nodded his head and helped Enrico to his feet before they walked out of the library. "What the-" I was about to shout but was taken off guard when William took a huge step towards me. His hands wrapped around my waist before pulling me into his chest and his head in my neck.
William is hugging me.
