"Does he have a girlfriend?"

I jolt off the bed immediately as my eyes opened. I slowly relaxed when I realized that I was in a normal but foreign bedroom and I was unharmed. The bedroom was a simple one. The bed was to the middle of the room with two tables beside it, soft carpets over the tilted floor, and neatly painted walls.

It had to be a spare room because there were no personal touches to the room. No headphones laying around, no slippers, paintings on the wall. There were two doors. One opposite me that was locked and one to the corner of the room that was open and revealed a small matching bathroom.

That asshole!

He knocked me out. I have no idea how but he did and I'm determined to know how the fuck he did that.

I need to figure out where the hell is I. So on a mission, I bolted out of the room and was met with a confusing hallway. Yet I was happy to see a large staircase at the end. My eyes rounded at the sight of the huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling. It was made out of glass, diamonds, and gold. It was beautiful but screamed fancy.

At the end of the staircase, I turned the corner, and there he was. "William," I sternly said.

He froze and whipped around, his eyes were ghosted with shock. "You're up early, how are you feeling?" He asked. My eyebrow instantly raised at him. He was being serious right now. "What the fuck did you do to me?" I deadpanned, not having a filter over my words. "It's a dust that knocks you out for some hours. That's it. You'll be fine," he quickly assured me out of panic and nervousness.

"Where am I? If you brought me to your pack I swear I'll walk back to golden cove myself," I warned but most of me already knew the answer to that question.

"Well, you are at my pack and you cannot leave. This pack needs you and golden cove is toxic for you. We can take care of you here," he insisted. "I cannot live here," I deadpanned.

William was getting angrier since I wasn't cooperating with him. Even though I was terrified, I wasn't ready to live in the fricken palace.

"You will live here and that is final. I gave you a choice and you chose to not tell me who tried to murder you do this is what you get," he snapped at me with his voice booming louder.

I hate shouting.

"I can't live with you though. The entire royal heads live here and I can't live with so many people," I claimed.

The part of me that was always right told me that the reason I was giving in to this new pack was that this meant I would be away from my parents. They can't hurt me here.

"Well you're not living on your own so you want to live at the packhouse with hundreds of people?" He challenged. "Yes," I shocked him by saying. All I knew was that I didn't want to live in a house with a family of strangers. It would be too intense knowing that I was his mate. They would expect too much of me and I wasn't ready to live up to anyone's expectations.

He let out a dry laugh. "I was joking. You're staying here with me," he sympathized. I rolled my eyes at his desperation. "It's either that or I go back to my pack. You choose," I smirked. I was proud of how I managed to flip the tables.

"Fine. You'll be in the highest suite. It's more protective there," he huffed, giving in and I smiled.

"What if they find us," Alaska's voice echoed. My smile falls. I straightened my back and my hands dropped at my sides. "Did you tell anyone else that I'm here?" I curiously asked. "I requested to Evander not to spread the word until you're ready for everyone to know," he answered and relief flooded through my panic state.

"Thank you," I mumbled softly.

"No problem. I'll have Jayden help you to the house," he rambled off and turned to walk away, leaving me confused. "Why can't you?" I asked, not even bothering to wonder who the hell was Jayden. The name seemed familiar though. William froze and his eyes flooded with guilt.

"I...I'm not ready for my pack to know about you yet," he sighed. And then it dawned on me. He didn't ask Evander to keep it a secret for me, he did it for himself too.

Goddess, now I'm reminded of the asshole he was.

"Fucking kidding me," I mumbled below my breath, turning and storming off back to the room I woke up in.

My feet paced the floor of the bedroom while my thoughts raced. This has to be some fucking joke. I'm ready to wake up from this sick nightmare. Damn it, I should have stayed dead. A knock on my door pulled me out of my thoughts and I froze.

The door cautiously opened and a tall guy walked in. He was definitely hot. Sharp jawline, black combed hair with muscles. The feeling I got off him was one I got off Brandon. He's the royal Beta. "Everest, I'm Rieka's brother, Jayden, and I'm here to take you to your room," he politely stated like it was rehearsed.

"Okay," I obliged and walked towards the exit where he stood. Jayden had not one similar feature to Rieka but I guess they were just one of those siblings. He looked around the room for a second before turning around and walking out of the room. I followed behind him, still pissed that he didn't want anyone to know about me.

Sure, I've slept with a lot of guys but he doesn't know that.

Does he have a girlfriend?

"You can wear these," Jayden mumbled and pointed to a pair of slippers that seemed around my size. I slipped them on and continued our journey. The sunlight hit me in my eyes when we walked outside. I winced away, keeping my eyes on the floor and on the back of his shoes. I didn't know if people were staring or if there was anyone at all because my hair hid my face and sight away from anyone else.

Looking up when Jayden stopped, he showed me s small smile before opening the doors of the outdoor elevator. Wanting to be over with this, I followed him inside. I held my breath when the doors opened and exhaled when I saw the coast was clear. As expected, Jayden was the first to walk out and I followed behind him.

The hallway was of gold and blue theme but nevertheless, everything screamed wealth. Suddenly, we both stopped in front of the door. "This is where we part," he said. I don't take my eyes off the brown door.

"Bye," I simply stated before wrapping my fingers around the handle and turning it so the door would open. I was quick to open and shut the door behind me with my back pressed against it. The remainder of William was fresh in my mind and now that I was alone I don't even bother to check out the room, I start to pace the floor of the room.

A knock on the door interrupted me and I ignored it but it doesn't stop. I groaned in frustration at the person knocking on the door. I just locked the damn thing two minutes ago, can't a person be angry in peace?

I opened the door and pulled it open, looking up at the stranger.

"Hello, I'm Luis."
