《Dimensions - Edward Cullen》Chapter 28 🌲

Sitting outside with her siblings at school later that day, Athena had a thumb war with all of them, this time with Emmett when she realized she was strong enough to keep him from crushing her fingers. They ended their last round with Athena's only victory. She turned to Edward for his turn to battle her.
"Your turn bloodsucker" Athena smiled. Edward chuckled at his new nickname.
"Oh you're on!" Their siblings watched happily as the two blind teens laughed with each other. Athena was about to defeat him when Mike interrupted them.
"Hey um Athena! I- I wanted to ask, uh only if you wanted t-to o-ofcourse, um do, did you might want to er maybe go to prom- um with me?" Mike asked nervously. Athena turned to him, slightly pissed for the interruption. Edward stared at Mike with a deathly glare,
"Oh Mike, i'm so sorry, but I can't go with you I- i'm waiting for someone else to ask me- but thanks for the offer!" Athena said with an apologetic smile, and Mike nodded in understandment. Edward looked at Athena in surprise, he had been so sure she would have accepted his offer, he had read it in his head. If only he had that bravery. Anyway who was she waiting for to ask her? What if it was him? No it couldn't be, they had agreed on being friends.
But what if- no.
"Why didn't you say yes to him?" Edward asked a bit to happily, looking at Mike's retreating back.
"Meh, not my type." Athena shrugged. Alice giggled and Rosalie rolled her eyes with a smile.
"Not your type? Then what is your type?" Edward asked, wanting to know more.
You are Athena thought, knowing Edward only got glimpses of her thoughts once in a while.

"Oh I don't know. Definitely not humans though" Athena laughed. Edward smiled.
"Oh? Why?" Edward asked.
"They're like Squishy Watermelons." Athena said and Emmett burst out laughing.
"How?" Edward laughed.
"No idea. Just get those vibes, ya know?" Athena said.
"Anyway, ill be right back I need to go to to the ladies room. Edward I still need that re-match." Athena got up and walked into the building, Edward staring behind her with a smile.
"So..." Emmett said with a smirk.
"Shut up" Edward punched his arm playfully.

After washing her hands, Athena fixed her hair in the mirror when someone came in.
"Hey" Bella greeted her. The pull got stronger and she fought the urge to yell. Bella seemed like a kind person to Athena, but the pull wouldn't allow Athena to enjoy it.
"Oh hey Bella."
"So- whats with you and Edward Cullen?" Bella asked and Athena stiffened.
"Were friends, thats all." Athena said, fluffing her hair up and pretending like nothing was wrong.
"Hm. Have you two ever- kissed? Im sorry if thats a bit too personal, you don't have to answer i'm sorry-" Bella apologized but Athena took this as her chance to nicely tell her to back off.
"Yeah about a week ago. We were watching a movie and he kissed me. But I guess he thought nothing about it." She smiled at Bella who nodded.
"Im sorry about that. Do you think he likes me though? I mean one day he's nice to me and the other he just ignores me!" Bella wasn't catching the clue at all, so Athena decided to play along.
"Im not sure, actually he does that a lot with people. Not sure why. Anyways see you around!" She gave the girl a smile and walked out the bathroom. Bella waved and walked into an empty stall.

Walking back to the table outside where her family sat, Eric saw her and ran over to her.
"Ive been meaning to ask you, do you wanna go to prom with me?" Eric asked. He smelled like sweat.
"Im sorry Eric, I can't i'm waiting for someone else to ask me, but thanks anyway!" Athena waved and jogged over to the table.
"Well you got some fan boys don't you?" Rosalie joked and Alice laughed. Athena chuckled.
"Who are you waiting to ask for anyway?" Edward asked. Athena was caught off guard. All her siblings looked at her, anxious for her answer.
"Oh just a boy I like. We've gotten pretty close over the past weeks, he's got a good sense of humor too..." Athena said dreamily. Edward couldn't have been more lost. And jealous. He felt anger but longing at the same time. Whoever that boy was, was sure lucky. Yet he was angry because he would've never thought it was him.
Of course. She would never like someone like me! She's too good for me. I'll just have to ask...
"Bella!" Edward got up from the table and jogged over to the human girl who looked at him in awe.
"Yes Edward?" Bella ask, confused.
"Hey, would you like to go to Prom with me? Or are you already going with someone else?" Bella was shocked that she would ask her, yet thrilled at the same time.
"Oh I would love to go with you!"
"Great, see you around then." Edward gave her a smile and nodded.
Alice looked at Athena with an apologetic sad smile while Rosalie looked furious. Emmet was lost and Jasper was simply frustrated at how stupid his brother could be. All he had to do was ask Athena! Simple!
Athena gave Alice a small smile before getting up and walking quickly to the parking lot. Heading over to Rosalie's red car, she looked over at the blonde vampire who nodded for her to take it.
She drove for minutes going no where. Rain was beginning to fall on Athena's face as she fought back tears. Athena did truly love Edward, but he was so blind to it, it was heart breaking. Tears began cascading down her face and soon she was speeding up, the tall pine trees swaying in in the wind on either side of the empty road. Athena, not bothering to hold her tears in no longer let it all out and screamed her pain out. Never in a million years would she have thought she would be crying because of a boy, much less experiencing pain because of it.
Pulling over, Athena opened the driver's door and slammed it shut behind her, wrapping her arms around herself in an attempt to keep warm as she walked in the rain, the empty road blurring. She sobbed as she walked, letting out the feelings she would never let out in front of anyone, getting to know this sentimental side of her.
She didn't know how long she had been walking when her whole body gave out. She slumped against one of the tall trees at the side of the road and slid down against it unconsciously, wrapping her arms around her legs. Athena was soaking wet not a part of her body dry, and her lips were blue, her nose pink, her eyes puffy from all the sobbing. With one last cold breath, Athena fainted, the most vulnerable she had ever been. The road remained empty. Then, a shiny grey car pulled over.

Dip$h!+s in Space
An eccentric comedy novel (that thinks it's a TV show) about space, and the Dipsh!+s that end up stranded in it. This hyper-self-aware comedy of stupid proportions, centers around Captain William T Lawg (no relation) and his adventures as a guy who managed to afford a refitted soft-top ice-cream truck, in space. Explore the universe with his trusty crew of valiant randos. Marley, the tech-bro, stoner spacebunny, who just wants to get away from his home world and the bullies it harbors. Duffy, the plump and sassy female mechanic, who has had every job in existence totaling far more years than possible. Roy, the frigging fabulous, flamboyant android, and former spy…or possibly current spy. (dun dun, daaaa!) And lastly, but certainly leastly, that other chick the captain keeps trying to bang. Ride with the crew of the notorious Tast-E-Chill, to a world of wonder that a lot of other space travelers have already been before, but probably not Lawg, so it's still exciting. This satirical joke on itself and every sci-fi trope ever to exist, will be sure to either thrill you or disappoint you, because COMEDY…IS…SUBJECTIVE! With a crew of 3-10 and an IQ of also probably 3-10, The captain putters along to uncharted lands, where history, loot, drama, innuendos of the sexual verity, and various Technicolor hoes shall surely be waiting, usually with some form of trap. Each season brings new and interesting crewmen, like: Menace: the adorable genderless frog-child-thing with the heart of gold and the dialogue vocabulary of a slightly trained parrot. Greg: the 8 foot tall, ancient, thermonuclear, semi-retired alien overlord who just wants to prove he still has a purpose…and also to rule the galaxy. Izzy: a 3rd generation, age-reversed reboot, accidental clone of her own mother/sister/older self, who happens to be Greg's daughter-in-law…and much, much more. Prepare yourself for shallow adventure, moderately-to high offensive dialogue, and overwhelmingly childish scenarios. Tag along as the crew battles, fierce enemies, lack of food and survival tape, and occasionally their own incompetence. Teen Romance, current politics, subtlety, dignity, this sucker has none of those, and it darn well knows it. Raise the sails and grab the rails as a bunch of dipsh!+s find themselves...IN SPACE. (Roll dramatic tapering credits, to royalty free trumpet music)
