《Chaotic Legacy》Chapter 36: The Crow's Memories

Cayden Carried Cronix's tired body back to the room, with Lapsa and the crow following him. The crow has grown a considerable amount, she was now about the size of a large dog.
The moment the four of them went back to their room and Cayden placed Cronix on top of his bed, Cronix instantly passed out, and Lapsa followed suit.
Cayden didn't rest, instead he went back to workinging on his own star, the reason this was taking so long was because he wanted this star to have a stable foundation, unlike his previous fifth star, that he created instantly, and ended up being used to create an explosion.
The Crow also didn't pass out, she was using this time to stabilize her initial core.
Despite being passed out, Cronix's rest wasn't as peaceful as it could have been, there was a dream plaguing his mind.
The dream was of what he saw in the Crow's earliest memories, and unexpectedly, he was present in her earliest memories.
The memories were from two years ago, and were from the point of view of the crow. The two were falling, unfortunately she didn't have the memories of why.
Cronix was also passed out at that moment, there was blood everywhere on his body, with his skin all teared up.
But his cloak was there, and there was no damage on it, so it was bizarre for him to be injured in the first place, Cronix found that to be one of the scariest parts of the memory.
However that wasn't the scariest, the scariest part belonged to the five objects surrounding the crow and Cronix's passed out body.
These objects were garnet red in color, and they were extremely familiar with Cronix. How could he forget them, just one of them caused him to panic.
But there were five of them, and the fact that they were in the air with them meant they came from the same place as the two of them, and considering Cronix's first reaction to them was to run away, which didn't come from his memories, but from his instincts, signified that in some way they had to be dangerous.
The five of the garnet colored continue to fall with Cronix and the crow, they were slowly being separated apart, but one stayed in the direction Cronix was moving in.
The crow was also slowly being separated from Cronix, she was very weak at the moment, so she couldn't move too much, at most she was able to slow down her fall.
But for Cronix, there was nothing slowing him down so he continued downwards full speed, and since he was passed out in the memory he couldn't use his wings.
Eventually Cronix's body disappeared into the trees below, completely out of view. For some unknown reason, the crow felt worried.
But she couldn't save him, she could barely save herself, just flapping her wings hurt her.

As she slowly drifted down to the spot Cronix disappeared into, her eyes were suddenly met with a bright green light, she couldn't tell where it came from, but when it vanished, and she entered the trees, Cronix's body wasn't as bloody.
The rest of the memory Cronix pretty much could've piece together.
In the physical world, Cayden stars were releasing a faint aura. He was back at the five star Caster stage, but at this point wasn't satisfied, and kept absorbing magical energy inside his mental energy.
He wasn't aiming for the flawless Caster stages, instead he wanted his stars to be so close to becoming flawless stars, but just not quite there.
But before he continued he glanced at the beds beside him, he could tell both of them were having dreams, since both of them were making faces.
Lapsa was having similar dreams to Cronix except it wasn't someone else's memories. In his dream, he was on a branch looking down, after months of practice he was finally able to make it to the next branch.
"Lapsa, come down, Mother and Father have something they want to tell us!" Mrya yelled at him.
He nodded, and jumped back down, slowing down his landing with the air elements like Myra taught him a few weeks back.
Lapsa followed his sister inside, to his parents, who were sitting at the table, they both seemed very excited, they could barely withhold their smiles, even the air around them was being affected by their moods.
The two siblings sat across from them, wondering about what made their parents so excited. The two parents looked at each other before their mother decided to break the news, "I'm pregnant!"
The two children froze, and about ten seconds later Mrya asked with a quiet voice, "How long have you known?"
"Almost two weeks." Their mother responded.
"Do you want to hear the names we picked out?" Their father asked.
"You already have names?" Lapsa's voice was higher than usual.
Their father nodded, "If it's a boy, we're going to name him Dagen, and if it's a girl we'll name her Kara."
Mrya opened her mouth to say something, but she was interrupted by a tremor, or more specifically the shaking of the entire tree.
The family of four looked at each other, there was fear in every single one of their eyes, and soon the shaking stopped, but something worse came, the entire tree tilted.
"Everyone get outside!" Their father yelled, and everyone followed his order, exiting the tree. Once they were out the tree, Lapsa suddenly felt his father's arm wrap around his waist, and the air elements being drawn towards their feet.
With the help of the elements, the two flew all the way to the next tree over. His mother was doing the same with Mrya.

Lapsa looked back and saw their tree, their home, being toppled over. Lapsa's father set Lapsa down, and approached the edge of the branch, Lapsa heard his father mutter, "Damn humans!"
The dream became muddled from that point on, but what Lapsa didn't know at the time was how much those humans were going to influence his future.
In the tree wreckage below were the group of humans Lapsa's father was talking about. There were two people in charge, a man with fiery red hair, and another man with forest green eyes.
The two men and their team were chopping down the chaotic air tree, the green eyed man frowned, he found a hole inside the tree.
He jumped down when he saw there was a light source inside. The light source was a plant, it was silver and casted a blue glow, thanks to its light he was able to see the rest of the interior, it caused him to gasp.
The hole was a mess, there were housing items all over the floor, as well as cabinets and such infused into the floor, with food all over the walls.
In the air were little strands of string made from an unknown material falling down to the floor. He caught a few of the strands and he gasped as he realized what it was.
These were strands of hair, and most of them were the rare color of sky blue, his surprised face turned back into a frown.
I've seen humans and animals with many different hair colors, but sky blue is a rare one, and there is very few species I could think of with natural...
He trailed off when he noticed something else, it was another strand of hair in his hand, but this time it was white.
With this he was able to limit every other animal he could think of and confirm his suspicion. Connecting the home in the chaotic air tree, and the rare sky blue and white hair, there was only one type of animal that contained all these characteristics.
"Nicolas!" The green eyed man called out to his companion. While the red-hair man didn't hear him, another part of their group did and informed him about it.
"What do you want Liam?" Nicolas asked as he dropped down inside the hole, but his eyebrows tilted as he looked around the hole, "What is this?"
"Do you know what type of being has sky blue and white hair?" Liam asked.
Nicolas shrugged, and said, "Cloud jumping squirrels, what about..." He didn't finish his sentence, he quickly put two and two together.
"We'll be rich!" Nicholas shouted as he quickly left the hole, and gathered up his group.
Lapsa slowly began to stir after his dream ended, and when he was fully awake he sighed.
"How was your dream?" Cayden's voice rang in his ear.
Lapsa shrugged, "It wasn't anything interesting, I've just been dreaming about the past lately."
Cayden smiled and nodded, "Yeah, all my dreams have been about the past ever since Cronix and the crow reunited."
Both boys looked at Cronix, who looked to be still asleep.
However Cronix wasn't fully asleep, instead he woke up some time ago, but he went inside his mental expanse.
There were two reasons why he did this, one of them was because he wanted to check on the progress of the wraith and the second was because he wasn't ready to face Cayden and Lapsa.
Cronix's mental expanse was pretty much barren as he used almost all of his mental energy enhancing the energy sealing arrangements.
Thanks to that, the mental energy surrounding the wraith was gone.
The wraith didn't look that different compared to before, the most noticeable difference was there being more patches of skin, but it wasn't nearly complete, only 15%, but there was something new that was happening.
The eyes of the wraith now had a faint outline.
Is this because I now have the external eyes?
Cronix sighed,
The wraith wouldn't improve if I don't infuse more of my mental energy, I need to replenish it as soon as possible.
The breathing of Cronix's physical body became irregular as he performed cognitive gathering. His mental energy slowly began replenishing, the new mental energy was slightly different from before, they were colder and would be easier to create ice from.
After an hour, when there was enough, he gathered it all into the wraith.
Once his mental energy surrounded the wraith, they slowly began infusing themselves into the wraith all on their own.
Cronix could've forced his mental energy to infuse faster into the wraith, but he didn't. He knew he had to stop here, he had to face Cayden and Lapsa eventually.
So he resigned himself to his situation and left his expanse. When he opened his eyes, he jumped, both Cayden and Lapsa were already looking at him.
"Crap! Don't you guys have anything better to do than to watch me sleep?"
Lapsa chuckled and looked away, so did Cayden. The three were silent after that, Cronix opened his mouth a few times to speak, but when he was that hint away from saying what he wanted to say, he stopped.
For some reason, no matter how much Cronix tried to apologize, he couldn't even bring himself to start, and he eventually stopped trying when Lapsa asked for help on a certain part of the energy sensing array.
A few days quickly passed, and the third week finally arrived. Cronix wasn't able to apologize, although it didn't seem like Lapsa and Cayden cared.
