《Fate (Niall Horan - Completed)》SEVEN

"Do you think someone already saw us together? And like put pictures on twitter?" I ask Niall after I finished my seconds cheeseburger.
"Probably. Why are you asking?" He smiles and takes a sip of his coke. I shrug and continue eating french fries. "Why? Don't you want to be seen with me?" He takes fries from me as if we don't have two more big portions in the McDonalds bag. Only now I realize how much we actually got. Four drink, two for each of us; four cheeseburgers; four big portions of french fries; and a chicken box from KFC.
"Honest answer... No. It's just that...," I take a sip of my coke. "You know, your famous and the press is going to assume that we have something going on. And because you have a girlfriend, they might think your cheating on her, you know." I explain. He blinks a couple of times but doesn't say anything, so I continue. "Besides that, I just want to be a normal uni student and I don't want to get hate by some of your fans. And Niall, I know how... I guess, hateful they can be." I tell him, not mentioning the fact that I sometimes find myself being one of those hateful ones. Even though, I wasn't following every step the boys made in the past, I was still checking their Instagram and relationships status once in a while. And yes, I have to admit that I got jealous. But I am only human. Niall has always been my celebrity crush, I just never really acknowledged it.
"Ohhh... I guess we just have to work our way around that then." He smiles and takes fries from me again.
"Niall James Horan we've got plenty of that in there! Fucking don't take mine!" I laugh and give him the paper bag with french fries inside. He laughs and rolls his eyes at me.
We finish eating and continue to talk about random things. When I finished, I neatly put the trasch in the paper bags. Niall still has french fries and I take a few of them.
"Ey!" He grabs my wrist and puts a fake angry face on.
"Sharing is caring." I smirk. He lets my wrist go and I eat the french fries while my eyes are glued to Niall. I watch him smile and eat the last bits and I giggle. I blink for a second when when I open my eyes again, Niall smiles at me and at the same time he's kinda confused.
"What's so funny?" He asks.
"Nothing... I'm just happy." I admit and blush. It is silent for a couple of seconds until Niall raises his voice.
"So, KFC is better, right?" He smirks and I shake my head. "Yes it is!" He exclaims.
"KFC is great for chicken but french fries wise is McDonalds better and they have great cheeseburgers." I smiles and lean back.
"Just because of the french fries." Niall rolls his eyes and we start to laugh.
"Ey! Don't say anything wrong 'bout my french fries! They're my week spot, my babies." I tell him and silently wish we had more.

"Does this mean with french fries, I could make you mine?" He asks and something about the look in his face makes me wonder if it was a joke or serious. Or was that his attempt to flirt?
"You've got a girlfriend." I remind him as well as I remind myself. Exactly that moment his phone starts to ring and it's no other than his girlfriend herself, Valerie. Niall looks at me as if he wants my permission and I give him that. "Go ahead, pick up." I smile as genuine as possible. We had a nice time together but at the end of everything, he still got a girlfriend. I can't change that fact, let alone tell him to ignore her call.
Niall smiles but that fades away as they start to talk. It's sounds more like he's answering questions on a quiz show. "Yes... No... Maybe... I don't know... No... Yes... No..." He sound like my dad when he does a business call, kinda cold and emotionless. Either that or I interpret his emotions completely wrong. "Okay... Bye." With that he ends is call. I smile at him and his face is just straight. He didn't say I love you, my mind whispers in my ear. It can't be that good of a relationship.
"What did she say?" I ask him.
"We're-we're going clubbing... Wanna join?" He asks and I shake my head. "Oh okay. I'll drive ya home, I need to pick her up anyway." He doesn't smile and drives off. The car ride is silent and it feels like the car just got smaller. I can't help it but just look at Niall. His mood has changed completely. He doesn't smile or makes any effort to start a conversation and for the first time of all the silent moment we had, this is actually awkward and weird. I start to feel uncomfortable and the fact that we get every red light doesn't help the situation.
Then finally we arrive in front of the student accommodation. "Thanks." I say to Niall but don't look at him. I have been looking at him and his straight face for the whole cat ride anyway.
"For what?" He asks and his eyes are liked mine locked onto the car in front of us.
"For..." Everything. Making me smile and feel good today, my brain suggests. "A lovely afternoon..." I say and smile down to my lap.
"Thank you." He says and when I look up, he directly stares into my eyes.
"For what?" I ask and look down. He puts his finger under my chin and lifts it up.
"Everything." He smiles. I smile back and all of the sudden my lips are craving his. Slowly we move closer to each other and I know and can feel that it's about to happen. BUT he has a girlfriend. We're so close but I pull away. For a seconds sadness comes over his face followed by embarrassment. He bites his lip and exhales. I open the car and get out.
"Will I see you around?" Niall asks. This is seriously becoming a thing. Our thing. I nod smiling.

"Sure." My cheeks feel hot and I close the car door. I walk few steps away from the car and then turn around. Niall is running his hands through his hair, smirking, chuckling and then exhales. He bites his lip and I know he thinks about something maybe even someone special. Maybe he thinks about me... I laugh short at my thought and wait for the elevator.
When he doors open a red haired girl steps out, smiling. She looks like the girl on the pictures that I saw of Niall and his girlfriend. She actually is that girl. To be honest, she kinda looks like a 'Valerie' anyway. She walks pass me, out of the building. I step into the elevator and before the doors close I get a text. Deep inside I hope it's Niall but it's my just brother.
""
Even though I am already full, I still join him. When I get to his flat, I knock a couple of times and a boy who I have never seen before opens the door. He's tall, has brown hair, brown eyes and a friendly smile.
"Hello." I smile.
"Hi, you must be Olivia." His voice is warm and when I nod his smile widens.
"Yeah and you must be Shawn, Ally's friend?" I ask. His eyes lighten up when I mention Ally's name.
"And you're her best friend, right?" He asks and I nod. A sign of nervousness is in his eyes. Shawn steps to the side and lets me in. He closes the door behind me and then follows me over to Ethan and Alison. I'm about to sit down next to my best friend when Shawn squeezes himself pass me whispering "excuse me." I instantly smirk when he sits down next to Ally.
"Hungry?" My twin asks and I shake my head . His eyes widen and he nearly chokes on his piece of chicken. "You. Are. Not. And I repeat. Not hungry?" He looks at me confused and surprised.
"I just ate a ton with Niall. And yes! For once in my life I am not and I repeat not hungry." I tell him and run my fingers through is styled hair, making it look messy.
"Niall , huh?" Ally winks at me and I burst out laughing.
"Who's Niall?" Shawn asks.
"Just a... Guy." My smile widens just thinking about him. "He picked me up early from work and then we stopped by KFC and McDonalds." I explain. "But lets talk about you, Shawn." I direct my smile to him. "Where are you from?" Is the first question I ask.
Shawn talks and explains that he was born in Canada and his family moved to the UK because he wanted to go to uni here. He plays the guitar and can sing. He has a younger sister and just like Ethan he studies music engineering. That's also why he's here in Ethan's flat. They met in class.
"So how did you meet?" I ask Ally and Shawn... Or Shaly! I wonder what Niall and my shipname would be. I quickly shake that thought out of my head, even though now I am very curious to find out.
"He spilled coffee all over me." Ally explains and we girls laugh as Shawn turns red. She continues and tells me that he helped her clean up and they started to talk. They are not in a relationship yet but I have a feeling they will be soon. It might be quick but they seem good for each other.
Afterwards, Shawn brings Ally home and I stay in Ethan's flat. I help my brother clean up a bit and then lay down in his bed. "What do you think about Niall?" I ask after starring at the ceiling for over two minutes.
"I don't relly know him, do I? But judging from what you told me about him, he seems nice." Ethan smiles and spins around in his spinning chair. It's just like back then in Ireland. We always did that. I laid on his bed, he spun around in his desk chair and we would tell each other our thoughts. It was never annoying, or we never said no to it. It was a natural thing to do. I don't know when it started but at one point we were doing it every weekend.
"He is nice." I say. "But..."
"But what?" Ethan asks and I shrug. "Do you like him?"
I have never really thought about that. We only know each other for a week and before that, I was just fangirling. Of course I like him, but do I like like him? Do I like him in the way that it can develop to actually loving him? I don't know yet. And how am I supposed to know.
"I don't know." I sit up and look at my twin who has a doubtful look in his face. One eyebrow is raised and he half smiles. "I just don't know." I groan and lay back down. "So how is your life?" I ask to change the subject.
"Normal. Good. No turbulences." He smiles. I roll my eyes at my perfect brother and get up.
"Goodnight, E." I smile at him brightly with my eyes closed and then walk out.
"Goodnight, O." He mimics me and closes the door behind me.
I get into my flat, lock the door and jump onto my bed. I'm about to fall asleep but then I decide to get up and at least change and take a shower. After a warm shower, I get dressed in shorts and a long white shirt. Back in bed, I cuddle my Niall pillow and fall asleep.
The next morning a knocking sound wakes me up. I look at my phone and see that it's already 10. Wow, I think pretty impressed by myself that I didn't wake up at 6 am for once. It knocks again. I groan, push my bedsheets to the side and get up. Slowly, I make it to the door and when I open it, a wet Niall stands in front of me.

The Stormcrow Cycle
Once a powerful and lauded witch, Ba'an salu-Ba'an now lives alone in a cave in the desert, waiting to die. When she rescues an outlander from certain death she becomes embroiled in a deadly game of politics and empire, of heart and soul, but worst of all--of hope and love and a chance at a peaceful future. Can a disgraced witch find a reason to live her life again--and if so, what price must she pay? The Stormcrow Cycle is a trilogy comprising of The Exile, The Lion, and Abomination. Tags or genres for each book: The Exile: romance, slice-of-life The Lion: romance, slice-of-life, politics Abomination: tragedy, high/epic fantasy (aka "Everything is on fire!") Updates once a week whenever I have time. Cross-posted on Wattpad and Scribble Hub. The CBMokedi cover will return! Excerpt: She looked down at him again. Young. Healthy, from what she could see, except for the wound that was killing him. He was handsome in a way that suggested a life of wealth and plenty. She did not think he had ever starved. Someone important. Her shadow fell across him, and he frowned. Blearily, he opened his eyes. They were amber and bright, even as he lay dying in the dirt. She could feel his soul, blazing inside of him like a fire refusing to die even as his body began to fail. He met her gaze, eyes widening in what she guessed was surprise—or shock. But he never looked away, staring up at her as though transfixed. Ba’an made her decision. She raised her hand and covered his eyes. In another moment, a murder of crows cawed as they took wing. The man and woman were gone from the road, leaving only the dead staring up into the sky. Note: This is a high-fantasy set in a low-magic world. The first book is largely character-driven and we really only hit the real plot in Book II, so if you're not fond of long epic yarns you ought to skip this one. I also don't include trigger warnings, but mind the "traumatizing content" tag--all societies minus one practice slavery and the world is indeed, rather grim!
