I realized that even though I didn't want to see him here sitting with my best friend, I had to calm myself down.

"Hey Matt," I said and Matt stood up to hug me. When he hugged me I took that opportunity to ask him something that couldn't let me be.

"What is HE doing here? Was HE the one that I had to meet?" I said pinching Matt's arm because of anger.

"Ahem! Hello to you too angel. And by the way I can hear you," Damon said looking me straight into the eye.

"So what? I don't care about that," I said smiling at him.

Nobody answered my question yet because Matt was still grimacing from my pinch and Damon was busy participating in a staring contest with me. Both of us were so serious, as if we were working out a plan in our minds how to kill each other.

After a moment I remembered that Meghan was with me and I have totally forgotten about her. She was so shy that she wasn't saying anything all this time. I turned to look at her to see whether she was okay and what was her reaction to this situation, but Matt interrupted me.

"Aaaaaand here's my surprise. Here's who I wanted to introduce you to. Bay Bay it's Brittany, my girlfriend and Bri, here's my best friend Bailey. I wanted you to meet each other as soon as possible. I love when the people I love communicate with each other and love each other. So, yeah. That's it."

All of us had different reactions to what Matt said. Damon rolled his eyes and started yawning because he didn't care at all about any of us. I was very happy because the fact that he was introducing me to Brittany meant that my piece of advice has helped him. Brittany looked at me and smiled. The only reaction that I couldn't quite figure out was Meghan's. She seemed in some way sad I guess? I think that was because she didn't know how to react, she didn't know anyone here.

"Nice to meet you Brittany. He talked about you a lot and I'm happy to finally meet you in person," I said smiling at Brittany and I noticed that she became more relaxed after my words and my smile. Maybe she was jealous of me, but after my words and my smile she understood that there was no reason to be jealous because Matt was like my own brother.

"Nice to meet you too Bailey. Actually, I've heard a lot from Matt about you too."

"Oh by the way as I finally got the opportunity to meet you Matt, I have to introduce you to someone too. Meet Meghan. Remember I told you about her?" I said looking at Meghan.

"Oh hi Meghan. Nice to meet you, I'm Matt as you already know," he laughed, approached her and hugged her. Matt is an extrovert, so, he basically gets along with almost everyone.

"If you're Bailey's friend, then you're my friend too," he said smiling at Meghan.

I immediately looked at Brittany to see whether she was okay with Matt's actions. But she seemed okay to me. Probably she already knew about the fact that Matt just LOVES to hug people.

Then I looked at Meghan and noticed a blush on her cheeks.

"Nice to meet you Matt. Actually, I have another class that I have to get to. I'm sorry I have to leave now. See you later guys," she said and she ran away.

I finally understood the reason of her reaction that I couldn't figure out. I didn't go to her knowing that I could find her in a couple of minutes. I knew that she didn't have a class today, she just lied to leave us.

"Okay," Matt said not paying attention to her weird actions, "See you later."

All of us sat around the table.

"Are you finally done with the introducing each other stuff? I am actually a very busy person." When I heard this phrase come out of Damon's mouth I wanted to hit him with something.

"You are free to go. Nobody invited you, nobody told you to wait AND nobody keeps you from leaving now," I smiled at him, but I knew that he knew the truth about my smile, it was fake.

"Listen angel face I--"

"Bay Bay I called him because he's my new groupmate, so, we have a project to do together. We had to start thinking about ideas for our presentation and you see he can't just leave."

"Uhm, actually I can because I am very tired now and I can't think about our classes anymore. Introducing each other took too long and I'm exhausted. See you later," he said and stood up from the table.

"Finally," I said sighing and looking away.

"I heard you again. Bye angel. See you later," he said winking at me and I immediately turned my face away from him.

"Sweetie, I have to leave too. Now that I did what I had to, meaning I met Bailey, I can go, can't I?"

"Yeah of course Bri. See ya," he said smiling at her. Wow, he really was in love with her. She kissed him on the cheek and left waving me a goodbye.

"Bailey?"

"What?" I yelled knowing that when he calls me Bailey then he is going to say something bad to me.

"Do you have to be so mean?"

"Mean? Was I mean?" I asked surprised at what he was saying.

"You know what I'm talking about," he looked at me with a warning glance.

"Look, you know I hate him and I just can't be nice to him. You just can't ask me that."

"Can you finally explain why do you hate him that much? You always say that, but you don't tell me the reason. Maybe if you tell me the reason I will understand? You know we always tell each other everything."

"There's a special reason for my hating him. Honestly, I don't like talking about it and I don't want to talk about it today, but I promise you that one day I'll tell you that. But I don't want your question to stay unanswered that's why I'll give you another answer."

Matt simply nodded thinking that it would be the best answer for that moment.

"Sometimes I can't even understand why everything he does gets on my nerves. But there's something that really freaks me out. He is extremely self-confident and narcissistic. Also, he plays with all the girls and after all of that, for some reason, they don't hate him and that just can't make me love or even like him as a person you know? Nor can I at least respect him. He just uses them like, I don't know some napkins or socks or whatever and they don't get offended my it. He doesn't care about others' feelings and I can't not notice that," I said all of this so quickly that after ending what I had to say I needed to catch my breath.

"Uhm okay? I have a couple of things to say. First of all, I think you're the only person in this world that can compare people to socks. Second of all, if those girls don't care about their humiliation of whatever, why do you care? I mean he hasn't played with you, has he? Last but not least I know that you really hate him and I think everybody knows that, but just sometimes try not to be that rude. I'm not asking you to hug or kiss him. I just want you to help me be on his good side for him to help me with the project. If he gets really mad, I know he won't do anything and I don't have the time to do the whole project alone. Can you just be a little nicer to him until we submit the project? Or if you can't, then let's meet when he's not with me. Okay?"

"Okay, I'll do it only for you. I think that most probably I'll leave when I see him, but sometimes if I don't I will behave more nicely. But I can't promise that I will be super nice to him because that would be too much. I'll do that for you, because that's what friends do. Also, I'm sorry that I can't be a nice person like you," I sighed.

"You don't have to change my dear. I just want you to let's say 'pretend' to be a little different with Damon for the time being. I love you for the way you are. Also, I knew that you would agree to be nicer for me and that's why I brought you a present."

"OMG! Don't tell me it's--"

"Yeah baby. I brought you snickers!Hehe, just say that I'm incredible," he said it giving me the snickers and making the face of the cool emoji with sunglasses.

"Oh you are for sure. Thank you thank you thank you! You always know how to cheer me up!" I hugged him so tight that at some point he thought he was going to die.

"Matty I have to go find Meghan. I have to talk to her."

"But she said she had a class and also you didn't eat anything."

"I have snickers now and I don't need food. Just kidding, I'll eat at home. And by the way she lied, she doesn't have any other class today. So, I have to hurry up and find her before she's gone." I said standing up and taking my bag from the chair.

"Okay, I got it. Let me just ask you two things and you can go."

"Go ahead, but be quick."

"Okay, so one, what does Damon call you an angel? And two are you going to tomorrow's party?"

"I don't know, but it drives me crazy and he doesn't call me by my name when I tell him to. Ugh! And to answer your second question, of course, I am , well I mean we are. You know how I love parties and even though I don't know what party this is I am definitely going. Bye bye Matty. Gotta run."

"See ya Bay Bay."

And I left the cafeteria.
