DATE: 10/6/17

I walk down to the pool with David. I see May is standing by the pool's edge even though she hates water with a passion. As I am about to say something to her, she jumps in. David and I look at each other, then walk over to chairs. May, eventually, gets out of the water with a bunch of stuff in her hands

"What happened? Did you fall in" I ask as I walk over to her "I didn't see you fall and I sure as hell didn't see anything in your hands when you got into the pool"

"James feel in before you guys got down here. His phone and everything else he was carrying went in with him. James, Justin, and Alex went to get James a new phone so his parents don't flip out on us again" May says and now it all makes sense. James has always been the clumsy one of the group besides Alex

"Oh, I understand now" I say and she smiles "But, that doesn't explain why you were in the pool. You hate water like that with a passion" I continue

"Oh, because Alex asked me to get the stuff out of the water so there wouldn't be a problem with James and his parents again. She wanted to get it fixed or get a new one as soon as possible in order to avoid an issue. I said I would do it because I need to get over my fear of water" she answers and now I am proud

"I'm proud of you. In all the time that I've known you, you have never tried to even get near pools or oceans or anything like that. You're a good girlfriend" I say

"I try, tomorrow will be our real 5 months together, though we say we got together on April 30th, we really got together May 7th. I want tomorrow to be special but I had no idea how, until I thought, what if I took James on the tour of the ocean thing? He loves boats and fishing, so I thought I would also try to get over it a little bit today. I have everything all set up for tomorrow, but I am scared" May says and now I am scared. May is very sensitive and she will be crushed if James doesn't like what she is doing for him. I know someone is going to have to get up really early to drive them, so I'll ask March

"Have you asked March to drive you guys?" I ask

"Actually, I asked Dan to drive us" she responds

"Oh, cool" I say and I am relieved she has thought of all the details "It's getting late, we should start going upstairs" I say

"Sure" May says

"David" I yell

"Yeah" he yells back

"We're going upstairs" I say

"Okay" he yells back and then May and I start to towards the elevator. We stop when we see Alex, James, and Justin. They do not look happy

"What's wrong" I ask

"We couldn't get a new phone because the store was closed" James says

"You just had to fall in the pool at 7 at night, didn't you" Justin says

"Sorry" James says

"Calm down, I'll give you the money for gas. For now, let's go to bed. We all have big days tomorrow" Alex says
