~Final Chapter~

"Wake...up." I hear a voice call out to me and I slowly open my eyes to see Daniel standing over me. "Put down by your own kids. So damn useless. Should have gotten rid of them when you had the chance to."

"Shut up." I hissed at him.

"Don't listen to him." I turn to my left and see Rose.

"He is still bitter about not being able to kill Angel." She says and smirks victoriously at him.

I stare at her surprised. "Rose?" She smiled at me happily. "What are you doing here?"

Daniel starts to laugh. "Well isn't this such a lovely family reunion. Here's a little tip to help you. Get your ass up, go find your kids, and show them who is the real adult here." He shouted at me.

"Don't you dare speak of my kids again." I threatened him. I went to attack but was held back by the chains. When I looked back up, they were both gone.

"Perhaps you should have listened to your instincts. And if you had let me kill Angel nobody would have had held you back so much like they are doing right now. You've became so weak since having kids. You use to be powerful, what happened? I mean they're just up the stairs here. All you have to do is just kill then. It's the only way your life would go back to what it use to be." Daniel whispered into my ear.

Rose then stepped out in front of me. "Don't listen to him. You love your kids so much, you don't want to harm them. So run far away. Run." She says.

I rip the chains off and whooshed out the compound.

As soon as I made it outside Daniel yanked me into an alleyway and just punched me left and right. I don't know where Nik is and I am worried sick. I block his upcoming hit and held him by the neck before I snapped it.

I puff in tiredness before I quickly turn around and see Nicholas, Maddox, Eric, and Henrik looking at me. "Mom." Nicholas held his hand out for me to take. "Come with us. Let us bring you home."

I went out to grab it but I hesitated. "Kill them." Daniel whispers behind me. "Make it nice and painless. It's the only way to make it right."

I shook my head as I continued to just stare. Rose suddenly appeared behind them. "You know killing them will only bring you pain, don't do it. You are so much more than just death and pain." She tells me.

Before anything could happen someone whooshed behind me and snapped my neck.

~This is so hard to watch for the second time but this time I actually have to watch the episode~

Me and Nik walked to where all of our kids were in. We decided to give them some type of closure before the inevitable happens but nobody said anything.

"Can you lot like shout, scream, yell, break something if you have to. Just don't look at us like that." Klaus begged them.

"This isn't right." Hope says.

"Two parents protecting their kids— I'd say that's exactly right." He says.

"If you loved us you wouldn't do this." Angel says.

"It's because we love you that we are doing this. We love you. It's the way of the world. Children bury their parents. It happens everyday, every hour. It's a truth this family has avoided at a cost." I say.

"Yeah, well, we just got you back, so why does it have to be today?" Dove cried.

"Listen. Me and your father did not live an honorable life. He may have had his brother Elijah to keep his head straight but I had nobody and I was reckless. But doing this—taking the darkness into ourselves so no one else in our family can suffer from it— that is a honorable death, and we can do that." I said also on the brink of tears.

"You guys have helped us feel something that we never thought was possible. Unconditional love." Nik says. A tear falls down my face as I see all of them start to cry. "My childrens'. My heirs. You're my heart." We got into a group hug and cried together.

We walked out the room and into the dining room where Rebekah, Marcel, Kol, and Keelin were pretty much talking shit about Nik and his past.

~Breh this is so hard, I'm in my feelings watching this.~

Me and Klaus walked out the Compound just the two of us. We said our very last goodbye to our family and just wanted to be by ourselves at this point. "Do you still remember the first day we met?" I asked him.

"How could I forget. A gorgeous lady stormed through the Abattoir holding a infant and was still able to take down all the vampires in the room. Fascinating." He says with a smile.

"And then you somehow managed to find my apartment and made a deal with me to protect Hayley. By the way, I never asked this because it didn't really cross my mind as much, how in the hell did you find out where I live back then?" I asked him.

He laughs at that and squeezed my hand. "That secret I will gladly take to my grave, just know that know matter what, I will always find you." He kissed my temple and we stopped walking and stood by the storage centers. "This is it."

I smile gloomy and look around at all the stars in the sky. "I'll see you on the other side."

"Always." He smiles down at me.

"And Forever." I finished. We pulled our stakes out and stabbed each other in our hearts. A tear fell down my eye as I stare at the man who brought me love and happiness. I watch as his skin turn grey with veins and the last thing I know is we both fall into the water.

Thank you all for reading my fanfic even though it started out as something for me to read, I just never expected people to actually come by and just love what I was doing.

The funny part is, I failed English class back in high school and yet I graduated 😂😂

No offense to people that want a POV from the boys, but I'm kinda clueless when it comes to a male reader and how they should be feeling and how they act.
