《Home | The Originals》Chapter 30: The Beginning

(So majority of you already saw this show and if not it's on Netflix. But there is always that one person that had never seen it and since I didn't really do any flashbacks to where Phoenix had her first daughter I'm doing a flashback to what really happened at the opera house so everyone can understand.
I'm not big on the whole flashback stuff. I would always skip it. It's why I never read prologues. Here is another thing you should know, Marcel had already told Rebekah who else had died that night. Anyways, enjoy the chapter. Peace out.)
Rebekah walks into a room where they kept all the bodies that had died during the influenza, wearing her nurse uniform. She walked up to Marcel who was waiting for her and greeted him with a kiss. Marcel pushes Rebekah up against a column (I had to google this) and lift her leg up.
"Marcel. Have some respect." Rebekah laughs making Marcel laugh as well.
"Yeah, I don't think they mind." Marcel said as he kisses her again. He pulls away. "Did you ask Genevieve about doing the spell?" Marcel asked her.
"I will. When the time is right." Rebekah said and went for another kiss but Marcel held her back.
"Rebekah. You've been hanging around that witch for weeks, waiting for the time to be right. She wasn't supposed to become your sidekick." Marcel said as he holds her face with his hands. Rebekah ignores it and kissed Marcel. "One little spell and we could finally be together for real." Marcel said as he pulls away. "What are you waiting for?" He asked her.
"She's a sweet girl, is all. If you must know, I feel badly for using her." Rebekah admitted.

"Then we'll find another witch, one you don't have to fake a friendship with." Marcel said. Rebekah didn't say anything and just looked up at him. "Unless you've changed your mind." He accuses her love for him.
"I want to wake up with you in our home, in the bed that we share. I want to walk down the street with you by my side so that everyone knows that you are mine and I am yours. I don't want to be afraid of what my brother will do to me for loving you." Rebekah said. "If this is the only way to get it, then... no, my mind hasn't changed."
Marcel looks at her lovingly before bringing her into another kiss. He unties the apron from behind Rebekah then lifts her leg up to his hips.
Genevieve comes into the room with them and stared at them shockingly. "Oh! I didn't know anyone was in here. I'm so sorry." She apologizes and the two lovers stopped kissing each other.
Genevieve hurriedly walks out the room but not without Rebekah soon chasing after her.
~~~
"So, this is your great betrayal. My sister and Marcel. They've been sneaking around behind my back for the better part of two centuries." Klaus said.
"It's a very pointless revenge, Genevieve. I mean, what does knowing about Rebekah and Marcel sneaking around will do to us. That was centuries ago, we can't change our past." Phoenix said.
"Yes. Against all your warnings. You'd disciplined them for it before, had you not?" Genevieve asked as she walks between the two hybrids.
"I had my reasons." Klaus defended.
"Oh, you don't have to convince me. As far as I'm concerned, you only needed one: that it suited you. Have you ever read the Old Testament, Nik?" Genevieve asked him. "You see..." Genevieve stood in front of him and place a hand on his thigh.
Phoenix raises an eyebrow at her. "God wasn't powerful because he was right..." she starts to move her hand up his thigh. Phoenix used her powers to break her wrist that was on his thigh and Genevieve let out a screech of pain. "He was right because he was powerful." She breathed out and the two hybrids had a smile on their face.
Klaus was smiling because he was happy that his girlfriend was jealous. Phoenix was smiling because the witch was hurt for touching what belonged to her.
"I don't know what you are playing at, but if the sum total of your plan is to turn Klaus against his sister was this revelation, then you should have never came back from the dead. I may not like Rebekah at the moment but family is everything to the Mikaelson, so your plan won't work." Phoenix said.
"You poor thing." Genevieve said looking at Klaus. "After 1,000 years, dishonesty from your family has come to be expected." Genevieve said then she started to walk around again. "I wish that was the sum total of their treachery. Unfortunately, it's not."
Though it's a standard novel with Reincarnation and Cultivation 'The Inheritor' is not a HAREM and it'll have Romance. The action might take the back seat in the first part of the book. About the Author This is my first novel or any attempt to write something so I'm pretty much a newbie trying to pen down the fantasies rolling in my mind. English isn't my First language so brace yourself for some grammatic potholes. But I'm genuinely working on improving my English but it won't be happening overnight as it's a process, I guess. (for the time being, I'm trying to make it readable with some Grammar checking software) Moreover, I wish to improve my writing skills as the story grows and readers help in spotting mistakes or critics might turn it into a reality.
