Mason POV
The rest of the week went smoothly. I thank the moon goddess for that.
I look down and see Malia sleeping with her head on my chest. I kiss the top of my head and carefuly slip away. I throw a blanket over her and whisper a 'be back soon.' I quietly close the door and race down the stairs. I swing into the diner almost falling on my face.
"Hey sorry I'm late. I tell Ethan and Avery.
"It's okay we just ordered." Avery says and sips a water.
"So how do you fell about turning 16 next week. You could find your mate." I tell her and she smiles when I mention mate.
"Great. But you know that you can only find your mate at 16 if your mate is over 17." She says and rolls her eyes smiling.
"I think you'll find him next week." Ethan says.
"Why?" She asks
"Well our great grandma met herr mate at 16, so did grandma, and the only reason mom didn't find her mate till she was 17 because dad was here." Ethan says and Avery starts smiling.
"You really think so?" She says smiling.
"Oh I know so." Ethan says. The waitress comes and sets our food on the table. She sets a burger with cheese only. Just the way I like it. she sets a basket of house fries on the table. House fries have cheese and bacon on them, making them the absolute best thing in the world. We all dig in. When we finish we chat for awhile before we leave. I pay for the meal and leave an $8 tip.
I head over to the lounge area where everyone plus Malia is sitting watching a movie. I plop myself in a bean bag chair next to Malia.
"What are we watching?" I whisper over to her.
"I have no idea I just got here." She replies I a whisper.
"How was your nap" I whisper.
"Refreshing." She says.
"Did you dream about me?" I joke.

"Oh yeah. You were a Tree and this dog came and started peeing on you and then he started to shit on you." She jokes.
"HEY!" I defend but they keep laughing.
"It's not funny!" I yell and stand up.
"It kinda was." Issac laughing. Then they continue to joke about me being shit until ii can't take anymore. I let out a frustrated sigh and stormed off to the stair well and stomped into the boxing area.
I Throw my shirt off, wrap tape around my figures and start beating the sand out of the punching bag. I go for a kick that sends the bag flying into the wall. I throw my head back and groan. I hook another bag up and start to punch the bag. A soft spot forms on the bag and a hole forms but I keep punching. I Begin to sweat and hit the bag again. and again. and again. and again. and again. Until sand pours our of this bag. I stand back and start to breath heavily. I walk across the room into the weight room and grab a 170 Lb. medicine ball and start to do squats with them. Soon I set that back on the rack and go onto the jump steps. I go up to the highest one and jump over and over again. Until on the 200th time that I jump I fall backwards onto my leg. I hear a crack then pain ignites through my body like fire. I let out a scream. I look down at my leg. The bone is sticking out and blood flows out of my leg. I let out another strained yell and some one rushes in. I can't tell who it is cause my vision becomes blurry. Soon I see nothing but darkness.
***
I was awake when they were doing the surgery. I think I'm dying. They didn't know I was awake until I let out a large intake of breath. They gave me an epidural. Why? Cause I guess I'm having my child and not a surgery to fix my BROCKEN LEG! But I guess it's working cause I don't feel it.

After a few hours they were finally finished and I was relived. The worst part was I still have to go to school. I was just sitting watching How I Met Your Mother when doctor O'Brian came in. A vit of an older woman maybe in her late 40's.
"Hello Mason How are you feeling?" She asks holding a clip bored. She puts one of those black see through pictures on the light box thing.
"I'm okay. I brock my leg. But I'm okay." I shrug.
"Okay that's good. Um ass you can see the bone brock through the skin right here." She points to the place where the bone broke. "It was a clean snap and because of the way your leg bended you had to get surgery. Um you can go to school because later today we are putting the hard cover cast on."
I nod my head saying I understand.
"Okay you have some visitors, So I will let them in." She smiles and leaves the room.
Malia comes running in and kneels by my side.
"Oh my god are you okay?" She says almost yelling.
"Yeah I'm totally okay." I smile at her.
"Oh thank god." She pulls my face to hers and she kisses me. I kiss back. I put my hand on her cheek and she pulls away. She smacks me in the arm.
"Ow! What the hell was that for!" I yell. I know that shouldn't have hurt, but I was low on blood and I was pretty weak.
"That's for storming off and breaking your leg! Why did you do that!" She yells.
"You didn't have to hit me." I say quietly.
"Oh this is for you." She says and hands me a stuffed wolf from the hospital gift shop.
"Thank you." I smile at her and set the wolf I have named blubber.
"We're coming in!" Cameron yells on the other side of the door and she swings the door open and they all stand there looking at me.
"Dude you're in idiot." Issac says and they all walk in.
"Yeah a complete and total idiot." Parker says and sits on the window seal and Payton sits next to him.
"Guys come on. It was probably an accident." Payton defends me.
"Yeah." Cameron says. Nico stands next to her awkwardly.
"Thank you girls." I smile at them.
"Oh we got these for you." Parker says and grabs a box of chocolate chip cookies.
"Thanks guys." I smile and open the box and start eating one. Malia reaches down and grabs one and I give her a death glare. Every one stares at her surprise.
"What?" She shrugs and finishes her cookie.
"You don't eat Masons food." Payton says.
"Why?" She says and I continue to stare at her.
"One time I took one of his nachos and he broke my nose." Issac says and sips a water bottle.
"I'm his mate what's he gonna do to me." She says with a straight face.
"Not talk to you." Cameron says
"Not kiss you." Issac says making kissing sounds.
"Not hug you." Parker says. Her face becomes pale.
"Mason you're not gonna do those things, are you?" She asks, her voice shaky.
"I'll forgive you this time. But do it again and I wont show affection for a week." I tell her and adjust myself. My leg was in that thing that keeps my leg elevated. She lets out a sigh and smiles at me.
"Kids it is time for Mason to get the hard cast so only Malia can be in here since the alpha and Luna/alpha wont be back until tomorrow." Dr. O'Brian says and every one groans and leaves. Malia pulls a chair up next to me and grabbed my hand in her. I intertwined my fingers with hers and they began to put the hard cast on.
My eyes were on Malia the whole time

Age of Regression
[Author's Thoughts] Dropped, obviously. Still, it's my first attempt at a novel and I do love what I did with it. Big step towards learning. Far in the past, there was a civilization much more advanced than the one of modern times. Evidence of that time remains, but it is all but shrouded in mystery as there remains no way to decipher it. Currently, normal individuals wage war with guns and smaller machinery, but those who can wield a higher power vary in their abilities. Scales, born upon humans, are a mystery in their origins but are the source of their abilities and their way towards advancement. Although normally powerless, humans have adapted to the scales and thus can connect with the power of the universe, much like the other races that inhabit its various corners. In one of these corners, there exists a human settlement where Lancing follows his father's footsteps to begin his own ascent to power. However, he finds he is far different from his gifted father, whose scales below his eyes were among the purest ever seen, reaching gem-like quality. Far from perfect, Lancing shows no desire to give up and ceaselessly moves forward to reach the peak of the universe. However, he begins to notice that the mysteries of the universe slowly begin to unravel in front of his eyes. To reach the heavens, Lancing must carve his own path.
