《The Kings Mate》Chapter 2

Mason POV
I stare at her for a few minutes making sounds that sound like I and uh.
Malia, she's my mate.
"Mason get going school ends in two hours." The secretary says smiling but looking down.
"Oh... yeah... Um follow me and I'll show you the library." I tell her propping the door open. My mouth suddenly dry.
"So where did you move from?" Why did I say that?! I already know where she's from!
"New York." she answers and nods her head.
"Did you live in the city or..."
"I lived right outside of Cooperstown." she tells me putting a small smile on my face.
"Oh I've been there. I played a baseball tournament with my team when I was like 12 or 13." I tell her.
We walk down the hallway until we reach library.
"So this is the library. It has like 5,000 books. 15 computers, and you can come here after school to study or do research." I explain and we're stopped right out side the room.
"That's a lot of books." she says with a slight nod. obviously she barely cares.
"Okay...the Cafeteria is just this way." I say and turn around going down to left and then right.
"It's not much to look at but it's got a salad bar, snack bar, and the quad is right outside. So like if you have a free period or study hall you can go outside and get some fresh air." I explain and she smiles
"Um I'm suppose to give you my schedule after this right?" She says squinting a little.
"Uh... yeah." I say looking at her schedule.
She has 2 periods with me and lunch together. The two periods being English and chemistry.
"Okay so your first period is photography and that's two doors down from the chemistry room. So let's go there first. since your locker is just a hall away." I say and give back the paper.
"Alright."
***
Soon the tours over and the only class left just happens to be chemistry.

"Okay well you can come to class or just go to the library." I tell her fixing my backpack on my shoulder.
"I think I'll just go to class." she pushes the paper into her backpack.
"Okay well let's go then." I say and motion my arms for her to go first.
She walks ahead and I stare at the back of her head. I look her up and down and my wolf inside howls with happiness. I found her. I finally found her.
***
I take my seat next to Parker and Malia walks to the front of the room to talk to Mr. Biggs
"It's her. I whisper to him basically throwing my bag to the floor.
"Who?" He asks looking around the room.
"Malia." I whisper quietly.
"Is she-" I interrupt him.
"Yeah." I nod
"And she's a-"
"Yes!" I whisper yell and a few people from my pack look at me. I growl though pack link and they immediately turn their heads back to their books.
"Well what are you suppose to do. Can you have a human as a mate?" He asks starting to fill out the sheet with ease.
"I don't know, would the moongodess pick a human for a queen of the werewolves?" I question.
"Well if it's her choice then I would guess. But what about the secret. You can't just tell her your her mate and she has to spend the rest of her life with you." Parker says a little quieter as she takes a seat two tables in front of us.
"Can't forget the part about where werewolves, vampires, and hybrids are real." I mutter and finish the paper.
"What if we invited her to frozen yogurt tonight. Since she's new she probably doesn't have any friends." He says pushing the paper in front of him.
"Class once you finish the paper you can talk quietly with your partner.
I look forward. Good thing Cameron's also in this class and Malia just happened to sit next to her.

I make a private mind link with her.
'Ask her if she would like to come to frozen yogurt at the crazy freeze with us.'
'Will do. Wait, is she your mate?"
'Yes'
She squeals and I turn off the mind link and run my temples. Fangirls are possibly the loudest squealers.
I look at her and she turns to Malia and asks her question. I know what your thinking. why can't you just listen? Don't you have great hearing?
Well about two weeks ago I was fighting a hunter in the woods and he shot a gun right near to my ear. the doctor said I should be able to hear again by sometime next week.
Malia nods her head and smiles.
I turn to Parker,"What did she say?"
"Malia said yes and thanks for inviting her." he answers looking up from his phone.
I look at the clock.
15 more minutes.
I look around tapping my foot.
My phone beeps in my pocket.
I take it out and look at it. It's from my mom
(B=Beth/Mom| M= Mason)
B- turns out it was a false alarm. Should be back by 7:00 p.m.
M-Okay great. See you soon.
B-Luv U
M-Love you too
I put my phone back on my pocket. At least my mom is coming home early.
5 more minutes.
Ugh! Time you tick to slow! Mental crying!
I wait some more then finally the bell rings. I grab my bag and rush out I the class room.
I speed down the hall and out the doors. I run to my car. And jump into the back. Just to let you know I took the back off as soon as the school year started, but I have to put it back on in like a month or two because it snows in the winter here.
Soon Parker comes with his arm wrapped around Payton. Issac laughs about something Cameron said and Malia smiles but doesn't laugh.
"Okay so are we ready to go to Crazy Freeze." I smile at everyone.
"Me me me!" Payton says jumping up and down.
"Okay well for those who didn't drive get in." I say and open the drivers door and hop in.
Issac gets in next to me and Cameron and Malia get in the back.
I pull out with Parker trailing his car behind mine.
Once I'm off school ground I look in my rearview mirror at Malia.
"So Malia, do you like your new house?" I asks and then look back at the road.
"Uh... yeah. It's really big and it's got a beautiful back yard with built in pool." She says with a slight smile.
"You could have a pool party in the spring!" Cameron says excitedly.
"I don't have any friends to invite." she laughs.
"Yeah you do. Look around, we're your friends." I say turning Around at a red light.
"Really?" she asks a little happier then she was a few moments before.
"Yeah I mean, your coming to Crazy Freeze with us. And no one, not even my sister Avery is aloud to come." I tell her and the light turns green and I sleep away.
"Well thanks. I've never had this many friends before." She smiles even wider.
"Well don't worry. We'll be with you till you die." Issac jokes.
"I bet." She laughs.
Her laugh is adorable. She's adorable. Like a little kitten. That I get to keep as my own.
She's my mate.
Malia is my mate, and I don't care that's she's a human. She's perfect the way she is.
---------------------------to tired to fix this line.

I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room
The universe is a very strange place. It will take even stranger heroes to save it."Absurd. Existential. Ridiculous. Tragic. Comic. The antiheroes of "I Don't Seem So Bright in a Well-Lit Room" are a kind of Rosencrantz and Guildenstern with space packs, inadvertently colliding with their destinies against a starry background of witty wordplay. With a vision as sprawling and limitless as the loveably goofy universe in which it's set, Browning's wit, wisdom and heart are always at play, combining to form a wonderfully panoramic and very silly heroes' journey that visits every trope of its overlapping genres and draws moustaches on all of them."- Marcel St. Pierre, author of "Vengeful Hank" and "Cliché and Wind Go Hitchhiking".(Sci-fi /Dark Humour/Absurd) *Completed! The Novel's Extra's Extra
As a reader, Cristopher always looked for things that entertained him, didn't matter what the "critics" said, all that matters was his own opinion on the novel, so he started reading "The Novel's Extra", a webnovel that despicts an author who is transmigrated to his own novel. It was fun and all with its own good and bad points, really, one of his favorites novels at the end of the journey, and that's taking into account the little fact that he didn't have too many things he was able to enjoy, not in that empty shell that was called life for him... Why could someone be born like that? With a void inside, an endless void that slowly consumes oneself... But... for better or worse... everything changed one day, the same day he woke up to discover he had the same faith of the author whose novel he just finished reading, becoming an extra in a novel, becoming The novel's extra's extra... /Ok, now that's the description I thought of... first of all, for those of you who are reading this, if any, a few points I have to make clear: 1. I'm not an english native speaker, so if you find anything wrong in the text, please let me know, that would help me learn, and I would be thankful for that.2. I'm writting this out of pure "enjoyment", so while I'll try to be constant, I'll not make any promises.3. True reason why I'm writing this is because I'm going through a moderate to crippling depression right now (and no, is not because anything trully bad and horrendous happened to me, it seems to have something to do with my brain's malfuctioning, among other things), and doctors told me to try writing as I enjoy reading. So yeah, this is more like a self-help excercise, to keep myself distracted while trying to be safe from my self.4. I choose to make a fanfiction of "The Novel's Extra" as I don't trully know how to write, and because I really loved that webnovel, though there are some points I didn't particulary liked.5. If you see some (let's be clear, really much) self insertion on this series, well, that may be me trying to escape reality, to which I make an early warning and disclaimer, and also ask for forgiveness, as I said before, this is more of an excercise, so don't take it too serious.6. I'll be a slow writer, as I have to still check a few things from the novel, even when I've read it like 3 or 4 times already, and because I know shit about writing a novel or a series.7. If you get to enjoy this, then that's good, I would be glad about it, maybe even more motivated, but I don't really expect this to be any good. Thanks to you all who may, or may not, be reading this novel./
