To make a sentence with past tense, we need to add particles in the place of -다 verb particle. These particles are:

> ㄹ 거예요

> 을 거예요

> 거예요

:

1) If a verb (after the removal of -다) ends with a vowel, we add ㄹ 거예요 to it.

:

가 + ㄹ 거예요 = 갈 거예요 = will go

하 + ㄹ 거예요 = 할 거예요 = will do

보 + ㄹ 거예요 = 볼 거예요 = will see

자 + ㄹ 거예요 = 잘 거예요 = will sleep

마시 + ㄹ 거예요 = 마실 거예요 = will drink

2) If a verb (after the removal of -다) ends with a consonant, we add 을 거예요 to it.

:

먹 + 을 거예요 = 먹을 거예요 = will eat

3) If a verb (after the removal of -다) ends with ㄹ, we add 거예요 to it.

:

팔다 -> 팔 = sell

팔 + 거예요 = 팔 거예요 = will sell
