Rukhsar was working on her laptop in her cabin. She heads the sales of her company. Under her strict supervision, the sales have gone up also the team members are meeting their targets. Rukhsar smiled taking a sip of black coffee from the paper cup. She placed the cup and began typing. A while later, the door-bell rang and she asked the person to come in. Then someone cleared their throat. She fingers hovered over the keyboard as she looked up from her laptop. A young French woman dressed in a formal business suit stood in front of her. She held a file against her chest and a smile on her face. She pushed back her red cat-eyed glasses.

'Maam, Paul sir is calling for you.' She informed her. Rukhsar frowned and thought for a moment before nodding. She leaned back.

'Okay, Ezra. I am coming in for two minutes.' She replied. Ezra nodded and turned around. After she walked out, Rukhsar held the armrest and got up. She adjusted her black pencil skirt and picked up her mobile from the table.

As she walked towards her boss's cabin, someone dashed into her from behind. Alarmed, she turned around and moved her hands. Then that someone fell into her arms. She held his waist tightly and blinked at a man. A young Indian man with oily hair stuck to his scalp blinked back. He was heavy and so she lets go of him and he fell on the floor with a thud.

'Ow.' The man winced whilst massaging his behind. Rukhsar glared at him while he patted his butt and looked up at her. Their gaze met for a moment before Rukhsar tugged on her white top and adjusted her short hair. She shot a glare at him before walking away. As she walked past him, the man looked at her legs and gulped.

Rukhsar's mood was off because of that man. Only for a second, she wondered who that man could be because she has never seen him here before. And she had been working with this MNC for a few months after its inception. Then, she pushed aside the thoughts as it was not very important. But, she was in for a surprise.

Rukhsar knocked at the glass door of her boss's cabin. She looked inside and noted few people and other heads of department present. Then, she recollected that it was that time of the year when the interns joined. When Paul asked her to come in, she did. She greeted her boss politely and walked towards the other head of departments. She smiled at her colleagues. They smiled back. Rukhsar felt proud of the fact that she was the only female head of the department.

Paul cleared his throat, adjusted his striped tie and stood up. He exhaled loudly, clasped his palms and looked at everyone. He opened his mouth to speak when someone knocked on the door. Everyone looked towards the door. Rukhsar frowned upon seeing the same man from before. He peeked from behind the glass door and smiled formally at everyone. People passed curious glances at each other. Rukhsar pressed her lips tightly.

What a cartoon – She thought in her head.

Paul frowned and gestured with his hand asking the man to enter. He nodded and opened the door. He struggled little with pushing, pulling the door. Rukhsar rolled her eyes and looked away. The man entered and smiled at Paul. He seemed to know him as he addressed him "boss" when he greeted him.

'Who are you?' Paul countered him, sternly. The man gulped. He looked visibly nervous.

'I-I-am Sheeraz, Syed Sheeraz Alam and I-I am the new intern-for-for sales.' He introduced himself. Rukhsar's eyes widened and she blinked at him. Sheeraz smiled nervously at everyone. His gaze met Rukhsar and his smile dropped. They looked at each other briefly before they look away, at the same time.

Maaz could barely stifle his yawn as he sat beside his father. This meeting was very boring. He was surprised that his father and the girl, whose name he forgot, the secretary was keeping their eyes open. In fact, the girl was so awake that she was jotting down points. At one point, Maaz leaned back slightly and glanced into her notes. He wanted to make sure if she was making notes or doing time pass. Before he could see, Anaya mindlessly turned her head and frowned upon spotting him. He caught her gaze and quickly looked away. He adjusted his tie and leaned in his chair. Anaya eyed him momentarily before looking away. She shrugged and looked down at her notes. Her note-pad was partly filled with notes and partly with a mindless doodle. She smiled at it before looking up.

Soon, the excruciatingly long meeting ended. Maaz gasped looking at the time, it has been only one hour, yet it felt like an eternity to him. He exhaled deeply pulling on his tie. Anaya looked at him from the corner of her eyes. She wondered how he will manage the business. She cringed at the thought of calling him, boss. Secretly, she prayed that day never comes.

Rashid smiled and patted Maaz's shoulder. He was startled and almost fell forward. He forced a smile. Rashid felt very hopeful with the smile. His son coming to the office and taking part in meetings was making him feel very optimistic about the future. What he didn't know was Maaz was forced to come here by his mother and not by his own free will.

After the meeting, Rashid took Maaz for Lunch with him. Anaya did the arrangements in the hotel restaurant. At first, the seat next to the window wasn't free and she had panicked but was relieved when the table got free. Quickly, she had the table cleaned and freshly made. She adjusted the hand towel properly and pulled, pushed the chair. Then, she exhaled and smiled to herself.

'Everything is ready, Anaya.' She heard Rashid's deep-throated voice and quickly turned around. She smiled nodding positively at him. He smiled formally at her. Maaz simply walked around and stood next to his chair. He watched her pull out a chair for his father and he expected her to pull out a chair for him as well, but she was just looking and smiling at Rashid.

'I will go get the waiter.' She said politely to Rashid and he nodded. Maaz scowled as she walked away. He looked away and sat in his place. He felt insulted to being ignored by her. Sure, he wasn't the boss, but he was the son of her boss and so shouldn't she be pampering him, as well? Maaz pressed his lips tightly. He shouldn't be bothered by her, someone who means nothing.

Anaya got the waiter and stood next to him. After Rashid and Maaz ordered their food, Rashid looked at Anaya and insisted she had her lunch as well. She couldn't be happier. As it is she was starving but then her duty kept her from going and having lunch from her favorite outlet outside the hotel. She nodded and walked away. Rashid looked from her and at Maaz, he was looking out of the window. Rashid leaned in his chair and smiled to himself.
