《Diagnosed (Alan x Eric)》What Feels Like A Year

After the door to Alan's room was completely closed completely, Eric punched the wall across from him, "Damn! I need to know what the hell is going on!" Eric felt tears start to weld up. But he took a deep breath and held them back, "I need to know what was wrong with him," He relaxed his arm that he had punched the wall with and let it drop to his side, "I could tell he was hiding something from me." The memories of how his best friend's speech patterns were different than they normally were and how he keep twiddling his fingers, flashed through his mind over and over again. The blonde shinigami then turned toward the exit and started to leave the infirmary. He hung his hand slightly lower and walked back to his office. On the way he bumped into one of his co-workers named Grell. The redhead noticed that Eric was not his usual self.
"Eric-san, are you alright, dear?" Grell asked the depressed shinigami in a sweet tone. Eric looked up at Grell but did not look at her directly. He replied in a fake tone that sounded more cheerful, "Yes I'm fine, Grell-san. Thank you for asking." Eric fake smiled and then quickly walked passed the red reaper, continuing to his office.
Once he was in the privacy of a room that was he and Alan's office, in which they both chose to share, he walked over to his desked and threw himself on his chair. Eric sighed and thought to himself, 'I need to try to get Alan off of my mind right now. Maybe doin' some work will help.' Scooting his chair closer to his desk that was a little cluttered with paperwork and reaping files, he took out a pen from a drawer and started to fill out some of the unfinished papers.

Eric's mind wandered off after about the first 30 minutes, and all of it was targeting Alan. Every now and then he'd look up from his work and at the office door hoping that his brunette friend would walk through the door with a smile on his face. But everytime he did it never happened. 2 hours had passed but it felt as if it was a year. It had been hell for Eric.

Making a difference
Harry Potter FanFiction: Hannah Longbottom liked to watch the people who entered the Wizarding World via the small, walled courtyard behind the Leaky Cauldron for a reason: During her not so long life, she had learned about three different boys who had entered the Wizarding World alone, leaving behind a life so horrible she could barely imagine. One of them, who became a friend of hers, had gone through great hardships to become a hero, one of the greatest wizards the Wizarding World had ever seen. One of them, who had been her teacher, had become cold and bitter, and no one had ever recognized what amazing talents he could have offered, until it had been too late. One of them, the monster she had helped to fight during the Battle of Hogwarts, had become the most dreaded, most dangerous, and most deadly man Great Britain had ever seen, and yet it could have all been different, if someone had just tried to make that difference early enough in that life, if he had not boarded the train to Hogwarts all alone. Already posted at Devianart and AO3, I've included a link to RoyalRoad on my profiles there.
