The pieces of the rocket flew off revealing a flat piece that had a circle in the middle, where the Incredibles we're sitting in the van that was attached to the rocket using Helen's extended limbs.
Dash, Vince and (Y/n) were sitting at a table in the van while Bob sat in the drivers seat.
"Are we there yet?" Dash complained.
"We get there when we get there!" Bob snapped.
He rolled down the window to check on Helen. "How you doing, honey?!" He yelled.
"Do I have to answer?!" She screamed back.
The city finally appeared and they prepared to land.
"Kids, strap yourselves down like I told you." Bob said.
Vince, Dash, and (Y/n) strapped themselves down to a chair.
"Here we go honey! Ready Vince? Ready? Now!"
Vince hit a button that broke apart the rocket piece they were connected to and Helen slipped inside the van.
"This gonna be rough!" Bob warned the family.
He hit the gas as they landed on a highway and stated swerving all over the place.
"The robot's in the financial district. Which exit?" Bob asked.
"Traction Avenue."
"That'll take me downtown. I take Seventh don't I?" He asked, as he started getting on it.
"Don't take Seventh!" Helen screeched.
Bob pulled away last minute. "Great, we missed it!"
"You asked me how to get there and I told you. Exit at Traction."
"That'll take me downtown."
"It's coming up, get in the right lane! Signal!"
"We do not exit at Traction!"
"You're gonna miss it!"
Bob yelled and served down the exit and then slammed on the brakes making the car fall on the side and twist and roll, coincidentally, into an available parking spot.
"Is...is everybody okay back there?"
"Super duper, Dad!"
"Let's do that again."
"I'm okay!"
They looked out the window and saw the Omnidroid walking by.

"Wait here and stay hidden. I'm going in." Bob ordered.
He got out of the car but Helen stopped him by grabbing his shoulder.
"While what? I watch helplessly from the sidelines? I don't think so."
"I'm asking you to wait with the kids."
"And I'm telling you not a chance. You're my husband, I'm with you. For better or worse."
"I have to do this alone." He told her.
"What is this to you? Playtime?"
"No."
"So you can be Mr. Incredible again?"
"No!"
"Then what? What is it?"
"I'm not..."
"Not what?"
"I'm not strong enough!"
"Strong enough? And this will make you stronger?"
"Yes. No!"
"That's what this is? Some kind of workout?"
"I can't lose you again!" He blurted out, shaking her. "I can't. Not again. I'm not...strong enough."
Helen kissed her husband on the lips and looked up at him. "If we work together, you won't have to be."
"I don't know what'll happen."
"Hey, we're superheroes. What can happen?"
Suddenly, (Y/n) let out a scream as the kids ran out of the van as the robot stepped on it.
"Vi, Dash, (Y/n)! No!"
The robot was about to step on them again, but was blocked by Vince's forcefield. The robot hit the forcefield again, and then it hit it with its whole body, knocking Vince unconscious.
"Vince?!" (Y/n) yelled, cupping his face.
The robot was about to bring its weight on them again, but was stopped by Bob.
"Dad!"
"Go! Go!"
Helen grabbed Vince and she, Dash, and (Y/n) ran out from under the robot.
Bob used his super strength to lift up the robot more, when it grabbed him and threw him into a building.
"I'm okay, mom. Really." Vince insisted.
"Stay here, okay?"
The robot climbed up the building and Bob jumped back out the window and punched it to the ground.

As it was trying to get back up, Frozone came sliding in on ice and froze its limbs.
"Frozone! Yeah!"
"Bob!" Helen called, just as Frozone got thrown onto a car.
"Hey!" He yelled at the robot before getting smacked himself.
Bob got up from the ground and noticed something laying on the ground in front of him.
"Syndrome's remote!" He yelled, holding it up.
The robot heard him and picked Bob up. Bob started randomly pressing the buttons and the arm that was holding him fell off.
"The remote controls the robot!" (Y/n) said.
"Dad! Throw it! Throw it!" Dash yelled to Bob.
"Go long!" Bob threw the remote super far and Dash sped off to catch it.
The robot fired at Dash and he ran across water and caught the remote in his hands. He tried to get back, but the robot kept blasting in front of him.
"Honey, take out its gun!" Bob yelled.
Helen grabbed a manhole cover and used her arms to slingshot it at the robots gun, breaking it.
Meanwhile, Frozone grabbed Dash and the two were skating away. The robot rolled into a sphere and rolled after Frozone and Dash. The two made a turn onto the water and the robot jumped into the water creating a huge wave that launched Dash and Frozone up into the air. Luckily, Frozone managed to turn the water into snow which softened Dash's fall.
Bob saw where the remote landed and ran towards it. Unfortunately the robot saw him and fired its claw at Bob which grabbed him and launched him away from the remote.
The robot started walking towards the remote, when Frozone froze the road making it slip, and Helen extended her body in front of it, making the robot fall to the ground.
The remote was right in front of it, but when it tried to grab it, (Y/n) dove for it and got it instead.
The robot tried to grab her, but Vince knocked its claws back with a forcefield, and grabbed (Y/n)'s hand and the two ran over to the adults.
"Mom, we've got it, we've got the remote!"
"A remote? A remote that controls what?" Frozone asked.
The robot came closer and (Y/n) randomly pushed a button making the rockets ignite from its arms and shoot it into a building.
"The robot?!" Frozone realized.
"It's coming back!" Dash grabbed the remote and pushed a button launching Bob out of its decapitated claw.
"That wasn't right!"
"Give me that!" Vince grabbed the remote.
Bob got up and looked at the Omnidroid.
"We can't stop it. The only thing hard enough to penetrate it is...itself!" He realized.
Bob picked up the claw while the others were arguing over the remote.
One button made the claw launch forward with a rocket and Bob struggle to hold onto it. Helen pressed a button that made it stop, but then Bob had an idea.
"Wait a minute...press that button again!"
Helen pressed a button that made the blades spin.
"No, the other one! The first button!"
"First button! Got it!" She reported.
"It's getting closer!" Dash said.
"Press the button!" Bob yelled.
"Not yet!"
"What are you waiting for!?"
"A closer target! You got one shot!"
The robot came even closer and Helen finally pressed the button.
"Everybody duck!" Bob yelled.
They all hit the deck and Bob released the claw that shot right through the robot and tearing out its main power source.
The robot fell over into the water and exploded.
"Hey, Zone." Bob greeted.
Frozone laughed, as a crowd of people gathered around and clapped and cheered for them.
At that moment, Syndrome regained consciousness and saw what had happened.
"No!" He growled.

Stories Of Indlu
“… to grow, for opportunity, for adventure, to be free. Join the colony ship Nao Vittoria. Be the first to live amongst the stars.” It was obvious from the literature that the NextStar corporation wanted the young, the adventurous and the brilliant. So why were the super rich fighting over seats? Why were AI’s trying to stow away? Did this signify a premature end to human/AI civilisation? Why had some questions directed to NextStar been aggressively sidelined? Why did the colonist inflight entertainment trial produce fatalities? In fact, why colonists at all? Those and many other questions, however, boiled down to a single central question. Why was the world’s most advanced AI dumped with a hundred year babysitting job for 50 million people speeding towards an uninhabitable planet? It made such little sense. The only sure way to get answers, catch a ride on the Nao Vittoria and play the inflight entertainment game, Pax Domini. I joined, and this is my story. Well, I feature. OK, I’m more of a spectator. Actually, I’m completely irrelevant I was just there. I’m only the storyteller. But what a story to tell. --------- Hi All, Content will be published weekly usually Saturday and typical posts will be 25oo to 4ooo words per post. Though for some reason the Royal Road word count does not include the content of tables so some posts may not appear to meet this criteria. Currently I have written sufficient unedited content to keep this schedule for the next 12 months (half way through the first story arc). My current productivity would indicate that I can maintain this schedule for well into the second story arch. This also allows for the additional content that will be posed exclusively on Patreon (https://www.patreon.com/StoriesOfIndlu). This additional content follows minor characters, peripheral events, maps and other content that does not take away from the main story. I would love to accelerate the post schedule but to meet this I need the assistance of more beta readers than I currently have. So please let me know if you are interested. - Andy ©2022 Andy Leauter.
