The darker the thoughts on my brain,

The faster my pen hits the page,

The more that I rage I come out of my cage,

Thoughts spilling all over the place,

The more that I'm trying to say,

The less that comes out of my mouth,

I'm stuck in my head seeing all the what-ifs,

I'm just dying, I'm try'n to get out,

Every word that I get written down,

Is a weight lifted up from the ground,

Each step that I climb, every second of time,

Every minute I live in the now,

If I fall I'll get up, if I fall I'll get up,

I will not let the world keep me down,

One step at a time, every word that I rhyme,

I'm just proud that I've gotten some out.
