The bell rings for the last time for the day. Thank god it's time to go home well not really still need to go to Devins house. I wait outside in front of the school. I look around just admiring people go to their cars. I go on my phone for a couple of minutes.

D: "hey you ready?"

A: "oh yea"

I grab my stuff right next to me. He nods his head and we start to walk to his car.

A: "where's tori"

D: "oh she had to do something"

A: "oh ok"

He unlocks his car and I start to get in

D: "you can put your stuff in the back"

I nod my head and do as he says

We arrive at his house.

A: "your house isn't far from mine"

D: "really?"

A: "yea. Like a block or something. All I know it's a walking distance"

D: "oh cool"

We get out of his car and into his house.

D: "hey dad I'm home"

Devins dad: "hey son"

He comes out in the kitchen

D: "this is Abby"

A: "hi"

I shake His hand

Devins dad: "oh is she the girl you been talking about"

D: "no this is her best friend actually"

Devins dad: "oh"

He says disappointed

D: "well we're doing a project, so we're going to be upstairs"

Devins dad: "ok. Well have fun. I'll be down stairs if you need anything"

D: "ok"

We head upstairs and into his room. I sit on his bed and admire his room.

A: "you have a nice room"

D: "thanks"

I get out the supplies we need for the project

A: "so where should we start?"

D: "can I ask you something?"

A: "yea sure"

D: "does it bother you that she flirts with Jake"

A: "I mean. She acts like that. That's what she does"

D: "it just bothers me"

A: "she told me she wouldn't do anything I trust her"

D: "I know it's just tha-"

A: "she's your girlfriend. Trust your girlfriend"

I say with a stern voice.

He nods his head. He sits on his bed right next to me. But is very close to me.

A: "so where should we start. Talking? research?"

I look into his eyes. Were so close I could feel his breath on my lips. I look at his lips and back to his eyes. I snap back to reality.

A: "umm let's get started"

I say looking away

D: "yea we should"

He looks at me still.

Fuck. I still like him. I can't like him. I practically have a boyfriend. No this isn't good. I can't like two guys at once.

A: "ok I think we're done"

D: "yea. Finally"

A: "yea"

I say putting my stuff in my backpack

D: "hey do you want to watch a movie"

A: "sure"

D: "I'll ask my dad if we can get pizza"

A: "yea sounds good"

I lay on his bed facing the tv that's right in front of me. I look around and see photos on his dresser of this really pretty women. I walk over, and pick it up and start to admire it.

D: "hey so my dad is getting the pizza"

A: "oh ok"

I put the picture down. I didn't look back. I just feel him coming closer to me and how his hot breath is on my neck sending chills.

D: "she was very pretty"

A: "she is"

D: "thanks"

A: "who is that?"

D: "oh she's my mom"

A: "do you mind if I ask what happened to her?"

D: "well she died from cancer"

A: "when?"

D: "I was eight. She taught me everything"

A: "like what?"

D: "how to treat a girl right"

A: "you're doing well"

D: "I try"

A: "trying is better than nothing"

I smile then look back at the pictures

D: "you're the only girl that really asked about my mom"

A: "really"

I look up at him with an confused look on my face

D: "yea"

He looks at me

A: "how? I think girls would ask about your mom"

D: "I mean they ask who it is in the picture but never after that. It always ends with she had cancer"

A: "really"

D: "you're really the first girl that ever asked questions after i say cancer"

A: "not even tori?"

I look at him. While he still looks at me. We just look at each other. Everything was just silent and calm but can only hear my heart beat faster and faster.

D: "not even tori"

We still look at each other. He leans in to kiss me leaving only inches away. I feel his warm breath onto my lips.

Devins dad: "HEY SON THE PIZZA HERE"

We snapped back into reality.

D: "I'LL BE RIGHT THERE"

He yells out

D: "I'll be right back"

I nod my head. I see him walk out of his room.

That shit just happened. Fuck. I'm so glad his dad said something cause. Fuck. I can't like two guys. Your not a hoe what are you doing Abby. Don't go behind your best friends back like that. That would hurt her and you. Fuck.
