I wake up in my room. I look around to see the winged nomu on my floor. I cover my mouth trying not to scream. It had a piece of paper in its hands. I grab it and read the note.
"Izuku Midoriya,
Your wondering why your in your room. Well after I had stitched and wrapped bandages on you, I told nomu to send you home and stay with you. Nomu will be following you everywhere from now on. When your in school, he will be flying in the air and if Bakugo ever tries to hurt you. Nomu will fly down and grab you. When he does that you will have to live with us because then everyone will think we kidnapped you. If your worried about your mother, she doesn't know about nomu. Nomu put you on the doorstep and you mother answered the door well nomu got in through the window.
Your favorite villain,
Shigaraki Tomura"
I look at the winged nomu again and smile. I look at the clock and read 5:30. I get up and get into the shower. Well in the shower, I hear something break and quickly finish my shower. I run out the shower with only a towel on. I see nomu awake looking for me and his wing had knocked over a vase. It started going into the living room.
"Hey hey no! Stop" I whisper and run to him.
I quickly push it back in my room and lock the door.
"Bad nomu" I whisper.
I quickly change and head into the kitchen where nomu follows me. It felt like having a pet dog but 10x bigger.
I make some toast as the nomu looks around the living room. I hear my mom's door open and panicked. I push nomu into the closet. Nomu got squished by all the shoes and clothes as I closed the door.

"H-hey mom!" I say as I grab my toast.
"Izuku! Your awake early" My mom says and looks at the time that said 6:30"
"Y-Yup just wanted to be awake early" I say and smile nervously.
"Oh well I need to head off to a friends house, her son is refusing to get up for school so I'm going to go help her real quick" My mom says and walks to the door "When I'm home I expect you at school"
"Ok bye mom!" I yell.
"Bye Izuku!" My mother yells back and closes the door.
I open the closet door and nomu falls onto the ground with his wings opened.
"I'm walking to school now" I say as it gets up.
I wait 5 minutes then open the door. I close the door right after nomu walked out. I walk into the elevator and so does nomu. I exit and start walking when nomu grabs me with his legs and takes off to the sky.
"Gah!" I yell as I look at the ground of all the cars and people walking by.
Someone looked up and started yelling.
Nomu people are looking! Nomu starts flying faster and drops me off on the ground then stays in the air. I sigh and fix my hair. I smile and walk into school.
"Hello Deku!" Uraraka yells running to me.
"H-hey uraraka" I say and smile.
"Midoriya good morning!" Lida says and bows.
"Good morning lida!" I say and smile.
Something smacks me on the back of my head and I turn to see Bakugo talking to Kirishma. Bakugo looks at me in the corner of his eye and smirks. I gulp.
"Midoriya hello" Todoroki says tapping my shoulder.
"O-Oh todoroki! Good morning!" I say and Todoroki smiles.

"Oh hey Midoriya my man!" Kirishma says walking away from Bakugo and to me.
Bakugo glares at me and I gulp more.
"Hey nerd lift your shirt up" Bakugo says and I nod "It wasn't a question"
Bakugo grabs my shoulder hard and lifts up my shirt to reveal my bloody bandages.
Everyone gasped and I quickly pull my shirt down.
"Deku/Midoriya what happened?!" Everyone asks but Bakugo.
"It's nothing" I say and try walking away.
"Who wrapped you up nerd" Bakugo whispers in my ear as he grabs me.
"I did it myself" I say in fear.
"Lier" Bakugo says and punches my stomach when no one was looking.
I gasp and cough up blood.
"Midoriya!!" Everyone yells as I fall on my knees holding my stomach.
"I-I'm ok!" I say and get back up.
"No your not!" Lida yells concerned.
"I-I am! I just bit my tongue and blood came out" I say and walk away.
"B-but d-Deku!" Uraraka yells.
"I'll see you in class!" I yell back.

Adventurer Book II - Dawn of an Empire Short story prequel- The Lurking Lair: An Adventuer Series Short Story Summary for the LitRPG savvy reader: Looking for a LitRPG that is more tabletop traditional role playing game and less MMORPG? This is probably your cup of tea. Long term progression with a heavy slice of life element. Strong mix and inclusion of ancient Greek life, values, and myths. Hence, the world can be a bit more harsh and brutish than modern sensibilities. The system is tangible and knowable beyond the MC's insights. The MC is more of an everyman than someone specifically chosen for the experience. Author's Note: This is my debut novel. Up until this point, the only thing I have written of comparable length has been non-fiction and related to history. I am immensely grateful to all the folks who have given me feedback and helped me improve my writing.
