though she be little, she is fierce

her coffee as she overheard her mother speaking. "I'm what?!" She exploded, standing up, not caring that her coffee mug went shattering to the ground. She was pissed off. "I am not going to some lame ass town named after a utensil to live with a father that I haven't seen since I was four!" She was more than pissed, she was furious.

Charlie might be her biological dad, but Alaric is the one who was with her through everything. She has been with him since her mother, Emma and her moved to Mystic Falls twelve years ago. She was only four at the time. And even though it was hard living in a town full of supernatural beings when you're only four, but she handled it perfectly due to her being a hybrid; witch and werewolf.

She had only been fifteen when she triggered her werewolf gene. She was out in the woods, at a party, when her boyfriend at the time, came up to her, completely wasted. He tried to force himself on her which resulted in her pushing him away. Harshly. He flung back into a tree, breaking his neck. After that, Clary changed into another person. She's been a lot more moody and depressed than she used to be.

She stared at her mother in surprise then glanced to her step-dad who was standing beside her mother. His twin daughters standing off to the side, frowning. "You can't just send me away when you know that mythical creatures are attacking my home! Our home! I have to be here to protect everyone." She clenched her fists as she felt her wolf howling in the back of her mind.

"No you don't," her mother stated. "I am the parent, I am suppose to be the one to protect you, not the other way around. That is why I am sending you to your father's. Who knows, maybe after all this time, you two can finally get to know eachother. Even your sister, Bell--"

Clary cut her off. "Bella is not my sister! I don't even know her, just like Charlie. They are strangers to me! My sister's are Lizzie and Josie and my father is Alaric! I don't need strangers to take care of me. For fucks sakes, mother, I am sixteen, a hybrid, I don't need a fucking babysitter!"

"Don't speak to your mother in that tone, Clare," Alaric said softly, walking towards the angry red head. He laid a hand on her shoulder, sending her a stern look. "Sooner or later, you need to see your father, to get to know him because, whether you like to admit it or not, you need him, he needs you. You are his daughter and he is your father. Though, I am flattered that you think of me as your father and that you think the twins are your sisters, but just like them, so is Bella. Who knows, maybe you will end up liking Bella. She is the same age as you, afterall."

"She's older by a few months," Clary stated, still noticeably angry. "I don't need them. I don't need to go to their town. I am perfectly safe, even with dragons and gargoyles. I am a witch and a werewolf, I can take care of myself. And even if something goes wrong, I have Lizzie, Josie, and Hope by my side. You, my mom, and them are all I need to survive. This is my home. I am not leaving."

"Clary..." Josie trailed off, walking over to the red head with her sister trailing behind her. "Your mother is doing what she thinks is right. After Jace... I think you need a break from this place. You need a fresh start." She lightly smiled. "If I could get away from you-know-who, then I would. So, you should go, experience something new and when you come back, we'll all be waiting."

Clary couldn't help but smile as she looked at Josie. Josie was the sweetest, the most kind person she knows, though, don't piss her off, because she also has a mean, scary side. That is something Clary loves about her. She might look at innocent, but she is a serpent underneath. Just like most of the kids are at The Boarding School. They were all here, trying to be better than their legacies in which their families brought on them.

"That is why I love you so much, Jose," Clary said, wrapping her arms around the chestnut hair colored girl. She glanced over to the blonde, Lizzie, who stood behind her twin, silently crying. "Awe, Liz, I love you, too." She pulled the blonde into the hug. The three girls hung onto eachother tightly, not wanting to let go of eachother.

her combined room in which she shared with Clary, but froze when she saw her best friend packing her bags. "What's going on? Are you leaving?" She had tears in her blue eyes. Clary was her best friend and the only person who accepted her for who and what she is. Afterall, a hybrid and tribrid better stick together.

Clary spun around to face a teary eyed Hope. "My mom is sending me to my dad's. I don't want to go, but everyone is saying that I should. Josie helped me understand what this meant to my mom and Alaric." She sighed and approached Hope who was shaking her head. "I don't want to leave the school, especially you, Liz, and Jose. But, I have to. For them and for me. I need this for me."

"No. You can't. You can't... You can't just leave me." Hope shook her head, her lips trembling. "I need you here, Clary. I need you. You keep me sane. You're the only person who understands me."

"Hope..." Clary stepped towards the brunette. "You know I love you. You're the Robin to my Batman. You're my Winn to my Kara. You're literally my everything. I've known you since we were both seven. You were new and also a redhead at the time, so I automatically liked you. We were partners in crime, still am. You know I wouldn't leave you behind, not unless it was important." She pulled Hope into a hug, laying her head on her shoulder.

Hope sighed and nodded, laying her head on the red heads. "I know... but, you're all I have. My aunt's and uncle don't even contact me anymore. They think I am broken... that I don't need their problems in my life. You are the only one who cares enough to be by my side no matter what, even if I don't want you there for your own good. You have always been there, as long as I can remember. You were there when my family couldn't come together because of the evil inside me. You were there when my mother died, when we had her funeral, when I triggered my curse. You were there through everything. It's going to be weird when you're not there, by my side, anymore."

Clary's mouth hung open. "I will always be there, whether it's in person or not, I will be there. I will be one call away, so if you need me, I will come running, no matter what. I will come to my girls." She leaned back from the hug and sent a smile to Hope. "Just like Lizzie and Josie, you are my sister, Hope. Alaric has basically adopted you. Well, he has basically adopted every child here, but, you know what I mean. You three are the ones I am really close to." She let out a humorless laugh as tears started gathering in her green eyes. "God! I can't even.... I am so mad that my mother and Alaric are sending me away from the only home I know of, from the people I love. I understand where they are coming from....but it makes me delirious because of the monsters that could come a-knocking. I don't want to leave knowing my home and the people I love is in danger."

"Hey." Hope grabbed Clary's face. "Don't worry about us. I will protect everyone... even Lizzie." She said Lizzie's name in distaste.

Clary laughed. "I don't understand why you hate her."

"I don't hate her, she's just a bitch," Hope spat, shaking her head in disgust.

"Just give her a chance," Clary pleaded with watery eyes. "Please. For me. She is actually really sweet when you get to know her, she's just really sensitive and... hurt. She thinks Alaric gives you more attention than he does them, so she doesn't like you for that exact reason. And, to be quite honest, it is true," She said, hesitantly.

Hope frowned at her words, but knew they were true. "Okay...i'll try to be nice...for you," She forced out with a small smile.

Clary smiled. "Thank you."

at her mom, Alaric, Hope, Lizzie, and Josie as she walked into the airport. She sent a small smile and wave to everyone as she grabbed her bags and walked into the building, tears finally leaving her eyes as she left the only place she has ever called home.
