《My Parents are Gay》Why Him?

Narrator's POV
Days had gone by since Peter had come out to his guardians. He was more open now, not as shy about it...well to those who knew. Not everyone knew yet, just Tony and Stephen and Ned.
He gathered all his pride and took in a deep breath as he walked into the dining room. He sat in one of the tall egg shaped stools at the counter. Tony was helping Stephen make dinner. They were chopping some vegetables up. Stephen always wanted to keep the family on a healthy and nutritious diet. Tony on the other hand, didn't really care all that much. His favorite food has always been cheeseburgers, but he doesn't have them all the frequently due to his health obsessed boyfriend. Every now and then he'd sneak one. That wasn't the point though.
"Afternoon." Stephen said, chopping away at vegetables. Another pair of arms was taking care of the flaming pan he had on the stove. And another pair mixing something in a bowl. "Tony let me help you with that."
"Not a chance, you've already shown off enough." Tony said covering his area and pointing at Stephen's arms with his knife.
"Whoa, Mr. Stark." Peter gave a nervous laugh. His guardians laughed along with him. "No seriously, that's dangerous."
"Right." Tony said, putting the knife away and emptying the chopped mess he'd made into a strainer to wash in the sink.
"So what'd you come in here to ask?" Stephen questioned Peter.
"Oh right." He had a plan. "So how'd you and Mr. Stark meet, Dr. Strange?"
"Well..." Stephen looked up from the chopping board. "How do I put it?" He said thinking for a bit.
"I saved his magical ass." Tony said. Stephen laughed.
"Oh yes. We were in the middle of battle. I say we, I mean Tony and his whole Avengers team were battling some outside space force." Stephen made little figurines with his magic and displayed the scenery he was getting ready to describe. "I sensed their urgency. This enemy was too powerful for them to defeat on their own. So I came to help them out."
"Psh." Tony finished cleaning the vegetables and brought it to the table Stephen was currently chopping at. "Yeah, until he was knocked out by flying rock he, himself, had thrown at the enemy." Tony explained.
"Technically the enemy threw it back after I had hit him, and I was too busy saving Steve from a car that was currently crushing him." Stephen said that in a low tone.
"Still jealous huh?" Asked Tony.

"Whoa. Dr. Strange, jealous?" Asked Peter. "What's all that about?"
"It's a funny story really." Tony laughed. "You see, I've always been bisexual."
"Bisexual?" Peter looked at Tony.
"Meaning I like both men and women." He said. "Steve is also bisexual. Don't tell anyone." He said seriously. "Him and I both had a thing going." He explained. "But then Barnes came into the picture. Cap ended it after he realized he had feelings for his old battle friend." Tony seemed a little hurt. Stephen placed a hand on his shoulder. Tony smiled at the trembling sensation on his shoulder and placed his hand over it. "But then out of nowhere this magical wizard, who happens to be gay, just shows up and decides to play maiden in distress." He laughed. "I was a fool for him. I completely fell under his spell." He looked at Stephen, taking him by the hips and drawing him close. "There was something so charming about him." He said leaning closer to Stephen. "Till this day I still wonder if he put me under a spell or something."
Stephen rolled his eyes. "I would never be cruel enough to put someone on a spell to trick them into falling in love." Stephen smiled.
"It's called a joke." Tony gave him a quick peck on the lips.
"Uh..." Peter coughed. They both looked at him. They drew apart. Stephen blushed, and Tony cleared his throat.
"But yeah. Anyway, why do you ask?" Tony asked.
Peter gave a small smile and blushed. "Well..." He rubbed the back of his neck.
"Oh, there you go again thinking about that someone." Tony teased, waving the knife he had in his hand a little.
"Honey, not the knives again." Stephen whispered under his breath.
"Yeah." Peter admitted, giving a little laugh.
"Are you going to introduce him to us?" Tony questioned.
"I'm afraid you've already met him." Peter said nervously.
"Oh, someone we know. You must certainly bring him for dinner." Stephen said, putting some vegetables into the flaming pan behind him. Sizzling sounds hissed in the kitchen.
"Uh..." The doorbell rang. "Surprise...?" Peter chuckled.
"What? Now?" Asked Tony looking at Peter, then at Stephen.
"Oh no." Stephen sighed and let his head fall back on his shoulders. The doorbell rang again. He already knew who it was.
"Uh, hello? Peter." Tony's head perked up at that voice. He turned to Peter, his left eye twitching. He was still holding the knife in his right hand. Peter chuckled nervously.
"Friday display the front door camera." A blue projection of the scenery at the front door appeared at the table where dinner was being made. Wade was standing at the front door wearing a gray hoodie and some black sweatpants. His red and black mask covered his face. Tony pinched the skin between his eyes.

Wade placed his hands in the hoodie's pocket, waiting patiently. "Oh?" He said, feeling inside the pocket. He pulled out a gun. He jumped back a bit and looked around for somewhere to dispose of the gun. He threw it in the small boxwood bushes at the front door. "Hello? Anyone home?" He rang the bell again.
"Peter, I thought I told you to stay away from-" He looked up, only to see Stephen placing the table. He was all dressed up in a green sweater vest and dark blue jeans. "Wait, when did you- Stephen you're okay with this?" He questioned.
"I didn't say that, but we also said we would support Peter no matter what." He reminded his boyfriend.
He walked over to Stephen and took him aside. "You're about to let a psychopath into our house for dinner, and Peter is going out with him."
"Look Tony, you're over reacting a bit. Maybe he's not as bad as-"
"No, you don't know Wade like I do." He said, poking Stephen's chest. Stephen shot him a glare. "Sorry, but I'm telling you. This kid is dangerous." He pointed at the door. "He likes to kill things for fun."
"At least let me get a chance to get to know him."
The doorbell rang again. "Stephen you don't want to get to know this kid-"
"Friday let him in." Stephen cut Tony off.
Tony's mouth dropped open. The door opened.
"Evenin'." Wade waved at the door.
"Wade. Hi." Peter said, jumping off the stool and going over to Wade.
"Hey Spidey." He greeted Peter with a kiss on the cheek.
"I don't want to-"
"Stop acting like a child and greet him."
"Stephen he's insane. He's gonna-"
"Hello there." Stephen come out from the dinning room with a smile. He reached to his side, grabbing Tony by the collar of the red hoodie he was wearing, pulling him into the scenario.
"Dr. Strange, this is Wade. Wade this is Dr. Strange, and you know-"
"Tony." Wade smirked.
"Wade." Tony said unamused.
"Nice to meet you Wade." Stephen reached his hand out for Wade to shake. Wade took it.
"You too- Whoa dude, nice scars." He said, taking a closer look at Stephen's hands after the shaking sensation drew his attention to it.
"Uh, thanks." Stephen felt a little uncomfortable.
"You like mine?" He removed his mask, showing his scars off.
"Uh..." Stephen didn't really know what to say or feel at the moment.
"Mr. Stark, why don't you take Wade to the kitchen and offer him a drink?" Peter pushed Wade toward Tony.
"Yeah, Tony. Aren't you going to offer your guest a drink?" Wade asked, smirking.
"Wait, you don't really expect me t-"
"Just for a quick minute while I talk to Dr. Strange." He took Stephen by the hand and guided him to living area. "Are you alright Dr. Strange?" He asked. He knew Stephen didn't really like to bring up or discuss his hands and scars.
"Yes, of course." Stephen said. "You're friend, there. He's quite the peculiar type, huh?" He asked Peter. They began to walk back to the dining room.
"I know what you're thinking." Peter said. "But just give him a chance. I promise you'll like him."
They came into the dining room, only to be greeted by shouting.
"How dare you drag Levi into this?!" Tony shouted. Levi sensed his owner and hurried over to him, placing himself at his shoulder. He took account of Peter and drew him close. Stephen put his hands on Peter's shoulders.
"What's going on here?" Asked Stephen.
"This maniac pulled a knife out and tried to stab me!" Tony said with every part of his suit, except for his helmet, covering his body.
"Did not." Wade said.
"To be fair Tony, you have been waving knives all day." Stephen pointed out.
"I don't need you to cover me Mr. Strange." Wade said, approaching Stephen. "I don't expect a doctor who wasn't able to help himself, help me much either." He said, taking Peter's hand. Stephen's jaw dropped with the disrespect. "Now..." He picked Peter up. "I'd love to stay, but Peter and I have other plans for tonight." He said, walking to the door.
"You better not harm a single hair on his head or I'll-"
"We'll be at the park. I'll be back before eleven. I promise." Peter interrupted.
"Wade I swear-"
"Blah blah. Bye Tony." He raised his middle finger up. He walked out of the house with Peter in his arms, leaving the door opened.
Tony watched them walk away in disbelief. Stephen joined him and watched them leave.
"Stephen, is our son being taken away by an asshole?" He asked.
Stephen took his hand. "Yes Tony. Just let it happen." Peter and Wade disappeared down the street.

Cycles of Ruin
Civilizations rise and fall. Kith build them up and monsters, led by powerful dungeon keepers, bring them to ruin. For three thousand years the cycle has been maintained by the Guild of Chaos and its endless hordes of minions who—in absence of their long lost creators—have taken it upon themselves to keep the realms of the universe in balance. The Guild has grown efficient at this task, but some among its ranks have begun to ponder the utility of a universe that has been robbed of the very possibility of change. Basil von Doom is one such dungeon keeper working for the Guild, leading an army of loyal minions from one conquest to the next; burning civilizations and sifting through the ruins in search of forbidden knowledge that the races of kith were never meant to possess. But having spent more than half a century in pursuit of glory and fame—trying to live up to the legacy of his father—Basil has grown indifferent towards his work. Desperate for a worthy challenge, but bound by his duties as a dungeon keeper, he has turned his mind towards uncovering the ultimate fate of the previous master of his house and the secrets that were buried with him. Now the young Master of House Doom must balance his growing interest in pursuing the trail of his father with the responsibilities that come with running a dungeon in service to the Guild of Chaos. To remain in good standing with the Guild, Basil has even accepted the task of mentoring an apprentice dungeon keeper, a young succubus named Elnora. It is at the tail end of her apprenticeship that the story begins; with a civilization poised to fall—its greatest heroes gathering for one last assault on the heart of darkness—and Basil striking up a conversation with his apprentice that will set into motion the unraveling of the universe. ***This is a rewrite and continuation of my story that was first posted on RoyalRoad a few years ago.
