Narrator's POV
Everyone's eyes focused on Tony and Stephen. Everyone at the table that sat on the top floor of Avenger Tower stared. There was a deadly silence in the room.
Tony ran out of the room, his face was red with shame and tears of anger pooled in his eyes.
Stephen stood there, his head hung low, his eyes focused on the carpeted floor. He sighed, forming a portal with his sling ring and walking into it. The portal closed behind him.
He stopped at an empty hallway, it was silent; but soon enough fast footsteps conquered the silence that filled it. Stephen opened his arms, and Tony ran right into him. Stephen closed his arms around him, Levi embraced them both.
"Let go of me Stephen!" Growled Tony in anger, trying his hardest to pull away from Steven.
"Tony calm down." Stephen spoke softly.
"Stephen stop! Let me go!" He was pounding on Stephen's chest. "I don't want to be near you! Don't touch me! Let me go!" Rage, Tony's heart was racing with it.
"Tony. Just listen to my voice. Calm down." Stephen spoke softly, placing a hand on Tony's nape, pulling him closer. "It's alright."
Shame and anger boiled inside of Tony. Rage and fear fueled his heart. "Let me go! Let me go. Let me...go." Tony gave in. His energy was drained from him, allowing tears to flow out of his eyes. He pressed his face into Stephen's chest. He began to quietly sob, gripping Stephen's shirt in his fists.
"Sh, it's okay Tony. It's okay." Stephen placed his chin on Tony's head. He stroke Tony's hair gently. "I've got you."
Tony's cries began to subside with Stephen's heartbeat ringing in his ears. He was being devoured by Stephen's warmth. He kept his eyes closed, letting himself get lost within all of Stephen.
It was warm and soft in Stephen's arms. Tony felt safe, he never wanted to leave.
A cool breeze blew on Tony's heated body, sweet fragrances filled his nose. He opened his eyes, his gaze was fixed downward, there was green grass at his and Stephen's feet. It swayed beautifully, gently, softly with the wind. He looked up at Stephen, who was staring straight ahead. Tony turned around, behind him sat a vast bed of flowers. It was beautiful, it went beyond the horizon. A beautiful sunset was taking place in the flower bed, getting ready to sleep.

"Do you remember this place, Tony?" Asked Stephen in a soft tone, he was now sitting down. His legs stretched out in front of him, with the palm of his hands holding his weight as he leaned back some. He patted the grass next to him, and Tony took a seat next to him.
"I do." He said, staring at the sun.
They sat there in silence, peacefully. Their focus still on the sunset.
The colors were warm and inviting. It was breath taking.
Stephen drew his eyes away from it, and they fell to his feet. "Tony listen..." He sighed. "You shouldn't be embarrassed or ashamed to be yourself or show who you are. And I'm sorry that I exposed you, us, just like that. You just looked so tense and lost, and I wanted to help." Stephen said looking down at his feet. "And I know calm you get when I embrace you or give you a gentle kiss, and I just thought maybe it'd be helpful at the moment." He put his knees against his chest and wrapped his arms around them. He placed his head on his knees. "I'm sorry Tony, I should've just staid in my chair."
"Stephen no." Tony put his hand on Stephen's back, and the other on one knee. "Don't be sorry. You're right, we shouldn't care what the other say or think. The only thing that matters is that you and I are happy." Tony spoke softly.
Stephen looked up at him, and sniffles a little. He wiped away his tears with his quivering hands. Tony smiled at him, blushing a little. He looked down at a flower in between the two. "You know, I'm actually glad you did that. Now we don't have to pretend anything or hide from the others." Tony picked it up and put it behind Stephen's ear. He smiled at Stephen, and leaned closer to kiss his forehead. "Thank you."
"I love you Tony."
"I love you too Wizard."
They stared at the sun, watching it completely disappear under the flower bed.

"Tony can we please stop by? Pleeeeaaaasee."
Stephen grabbed Tony's arm. Tony rolled his eyes and smiled.
"Fine." He put his signal on and pulled over.
"Yes." Stephen stepped out of the car and gave a small skip. He was so happy to see Peter again.
Tony locked his car and walked right behind Stephen. He couldn't help but give a quiet chuckle as he watched Stephen, literally skipping with so much anticipation. He looked like a small child who couldn't wait to go to the park.
Stephen knocked on the door.
"Coming!" Stephen smiled excitedly as he recognized the voice. It was Peter.
Hurried footsteps could be heard from outside. They were rushing down the steps, then there was a loud tumble and a groan, but then the door swung open. Peter stood there in an old white t-shirt and some navy blue pajama bottoms with bare feet. He gasped. "Dr. Strange!" He jumped on him, clasping onto him likes magnet.
"Good to see you too Peter." Stephen smiled and embraced Peter.
Peter nuzzled himself deeper into Stephen's neck and smiled. Oh he was so warm. He slowly opened his eyes and noticed Tony standing there. "Hello Mr. Stark." He smiled.
"Hey Kid." Tony messed Peter's caramel hair up.
Stephen walked into the house with Peter still in his arms. Tony came in after them, closing the door behind him.
"Peter who is it?" Came Aunt May's voice from the staircase. "Oh." She said as she walked down stairs.
"Aunt May look!" Peter jumped out of Stephen's arms. "Look who's here!" He was so excited.
"Hello Tony. Stephen." She smiled at both of them.
"Hello." Tony waved. Stephen smiled and waved at here.
"I told you they'd come back! I told you! I told you! I told you!" Peter kept going and going, jumping all over the place.
"Gosh, what did this kid have? Coffee?"
"12 twinkies." Peter said, jumping on Stephen's back.
"Oof." Stephen let out, surprised at the sudden action but catching Peter. He laughed.
He was enjoying this as much as Peter.
"Where's Levi Dr. Strange?"
"At the Sanctum. Someone had to watch over it." Stephen started to walk around the house with Peter on his back. It started to feel like old times. "Watch this." Stephen opened a portal with his sling ring and jumped into it.
"Whoa!" Peter was in awe as they were falling out of the sky, past the Eiffel Tower. Then another portal opened, exposing the night life of Tokyo. "Wow." Then another, the beaches of Hawaii. Then another opened, putting them back where they started. "Dr. Strange that was amazing!" Peter got off Stephen's back.
There was a cough behind them. They turned around. Tony and Aunt May stared. "Um Stephen we don't need to overexcited Peter more than he already is."
"Right. Right." Stephen straightened himself out.
While Peter and Stephen has been away, Aunt May and Tony had a discussion about Peter.
"Well it's getting late and we need to go back to the Sanctum Strange." Tony winked at Stephen.
He smiled. "Oh yes."
"Wait, you're already leaving? You just got here." Peter whined.
"What're you talking about? You're coming with us." Stephen told Peter.
His eyes widen and his heart stopped.
"Wait, for real?" He looked at Tony. Tony gave him a nod. He looked at Aunt May, who had a bag in her hand.
"I packed your electric toothbrush in there." She told him.
"This is the best day of-Wait!" He paused. "Second best day, the first was when I met Ned." He coughed. "Anyway...of my life!" He jumped up.
He kissed Aunt May goodbye and walked out with Stephen and Tony. He got in the car and stuck his head out of the sun roof and raised his hands in the air.
"Woo-Hoo!" Was all that was heard as they drove away to the Sanctum.

A Virtual Invasion
An invasion from another dimension is shut down by an Empire's traitor and the world has a scant few decades to build the strength to resist a multidimensional Empire. How will the world fair when no one even knows its doom is one barred gate away? Fortunately, the traitor has a plan. Maybe with a bit of luck and planning, he can build a force to defend the world without anyone realizing it. Author's Thoughts: What is litRPG (From wikipedia) - LitRPG, short for Literary Role Playing Game, is a literary genre combining the conventions of MMORPGs with science-fiction fantasy novels.[1] LitRPG is a literary genre where games or game-like challenges form an essential part of the story. A LitRPG work simultaneously narrates the story of characters inside and outside of the game-world. At least some of the characters in a LitRPG novel therefore understand that they are playing a game: they are 'meta-aware'. So, while Tolkien's Lord of the Rings is a fantasy novel, a book about people creating avatars and interacting in a Lord of the Rings MMORPG would be a LitRPG novel. Why do I read them? You know, I am not too sure. I love MMOs. I played them, quit them, joined up and repeated the cycle. They are fun! They are a massive waste of time but so are most games. Do I want to read about someone else playing them? Sort of?The advent of VR and the possibility of VR someday becoming so immersive that you can't tell them from reality sets the imagination on fire. What if this could be life? But most stories fall short. At the end of the day the protagonist hangs up his VR helmet and goes to have dinner with his mom and dad or other family and it becomes meaningless. It's like the story that ends because the main character woke up and nothing you read matters. There have been some books that explore the concept of the intersection of reality and total immersion VR. Enders Game is a classic. There were a few others that escape me but they exist, however, the cross between the game and reality is weak.So what if the game was real? The technology needed for total immersion VR is so advanced that by the time we reach that goal technology should have naturally evolved to include several items. You must have direct neural input. You simply can't have a total immersion (all senses and perfect presence) experience without this basic prerequisite. If you have direct neural access, you can probably do neat things like feed knowledge and skills directly to that person. You can undoubtedly do many horrible things as well. Muscles are controlled by the brain. If you control the brain why would you let the body just sit there and rot? A person that sits unmoving for 24 hours a day will have their body whither away just like a coma patient. However, if you control the brain you could control the muscles. On a basic level, this would be isometric impulses, working muscle group against muscle group to avoid atrophy. Taken to its logical conclusion you would be able to gain muscle mass and program muscle memory. The flip side is that you could remote control their body... but let's not go there. So what would people do if it were real? Well, they would probably limit and regulate it since the drawbacks are very obvious. Even if you look at the basic aspects of this you can see some negative possibilities. Look at the Sword Art Online anime. Personally, I think they missed the boat by putting a bomb in the VR helmet. Do you really need a bomb when you have direct access to the brain? So what kind of events would you need to have a situation where the obvious drawbacks haven't been explored? Maybe a society where the advancement of technology has so far outstripped the explorations of its applications that ignorance was truly bliss? Okay, so I had to put in an alien invasion to kickstart the premise, but that was just one of the possibilities.
