Merid woke up and went to roll over but he paused when he felt something on top of him. Or rather someone. (Y/n) had fallen asleep on his chest with Merid's arm wrapped around her waist. He looked down at her and smiled, admiring how cute she looked when she was asleep. He wrapped his other arm around her and pressed a kiss to her forehead. Her eyes slowly fluttered open and she looked up at Merid with her beautiful (e/c) eyes.
"Good morning. Sorry, I fell asleep on you."
(Y/n) apologized.
"Don't worry love, I didn't mind." Merid responded.
(Y/n) blushed a bit at his words, and they both turned there heads to see Elinor setting something up.
"Uh...Good morning." Merid greeted.
Elinor growled a good morning to him.
"So...What's all this supposed to be?" He asked.
Elinor gestured to the table. Apparently it was breakfast.
"Oh." Merid gestured for (Y/n) to sit down, before he placed his bow on the table and sat down himself.
Elinor moaned and grunted at him.
"What?" He asked, confused.
Elinor spoke again, but it was in Bear language, so neither of them understood.
"Sorry. I don't speak bear." Merid shrugged.
Elinor mimicked firing a bow and pointed at Merid's, then to the ground. Merid shrugged again.
"She wants you to take your bow off the table." (Y/n) said.
"Oh."
Merid placed it on the ground, and Elinor grunted in approval. Then she picked up two sticks that were supposed to be a knife and fork and tried to cut into the berries on her plate. However, the pressure from the knife caused it to fly into the air and hit (Y/n) on the nose and she gasped in surprise. Merid snickered at the scene, and (Y/n) slugged him in the arm.

"Ow!" Merid whined, rubbing his arm.
Elinor set down the sticks and used her paws to eat the berries. Merid picked on up.
"Find those by the creek did you?" He asked.
Elinor nodded.
"Uh...they're nightshade berries you know..." (Y/n) added.
Elinor kept eating, not knowing what that meant.
"They're poisonous." Merid deadpanned.
Elinor spat the berries out of her mouth and polluted herself a cup of water from the pot she had and drank it.
(Y/n) picked the pot up and examined it. "Where did you get this water? It has worms."
Elinor spat the water out before falling on their table, sending launching into the trees. Merid chuckled and picked up his bow and grabbed (Y/n)'s hand.
"Come on." Merid said.
...
Down by the river, Merid was aiming his bow at a fish. He fired and the arrow struck the fish right through the side. Merid picked up the arrow with the fish and held it up.
"Breakfast." He announced.
(Y/n) and Elinor applauded.
"Oh, wait. A gentlemen should not have weapons, in your opinion." He recited.
Elinor nodded, before realizing what he said and glared at him.
"There you go. Go on." He held the fish out to his mum, but it flapped around and Elinor whined in disgust.
"How do you know you don't like it if you don't try it?" Merid argued.
"Oh, wait. I have an idea."
...
(Y/n) cooked the fish over an open fire, before placing down on some leaves for Elinor. Elinor grunted in approval and used her stick utensils to take a bite. She hummed contently before ditching her utensils and devouring the fish. Merid and placed his arm over (Y/n) protectively out of shock.

Elinor paused when she saw the two staring at her, and she wiped her mouth with a leaf and let out a burp, then she held up two claws.

(Y/n) cooked two more fish for her and she devoured those too, and held up four claws.
🎵🎵
Merid sighed and pointed to the river where the fish were.
🎵🎵
Elinor huffed, but she took off her crown and walked into the river.
🎵🎵
Elinor was standing on some rocks trying to catch the fish as they jumped up stream, but she was having trouble. She kept missing and eventually fell into the water.
🎵🎵
Merid and (Y/n) stood next to her on the ledge. Merid grabbed a fish as it swam up and (Y/n) made chomping noises with her mouth, showing her that she had to use her teeth to catch it.
🎵🎵
Elinor stood there with her mouth open, and eventually a fish jumped into her mouth and she started choking. She spit the fish back out and Merid laughed at her.
Another fish jumped out of the water and Elinor caught it in her mouth. Merid and (Y/n) clapped for her.
🎵🎵
Elinor caught a few more and tossed one over to the land, but it jumped back in the water. Merid and (Y/n) sat on the rocks chuckling.
🎵🎵
Merid grabbed a fish out of the water and held it up triumphantly, but the fish started squirming, which caused him to fall into the water. Elinor snickered at him.
🎵🎵
(Y/n) laughed at Merid's predicament, while he sat up completely soaked. He saw (Y/n) laughing at him and sent her a mischievous look. She stopped laughing when she saw his expression.
🎵🎵
Merid leapt up and scrambled to climb up the ledge to chase after her. (Y/n) squealed and ran away.
🎵🎵
While Elinor was still chasing after fish, Merid was chasing after (Y/n). He finally caught her wrist and pulled her into his chest, making the girl yelp in surprise. He picked her up bridal style and gave her a smirk before he dropped her into the river.
Merid laughed at her seeing she was completely soaked. (Y/n) stood up and splashed him which made him stop laughing. The two were now having a water fight, splashing and kicking water at each other. Eventually Elinor joined and made a huge wave that splashed the two.
🎵🎵
(Y/n) tackled Merid into the water and they fell down with (Y/n) on top of him. He looked into her beautiful (e/c) eyes and smiled, and she smiled back at him. They two started to lean closer to each other, but stopped when they heard Elinor getting out of the water and walking away.
