He always had to coax you to do anything,

craning his neck in annoyance before

trying with you again,

losing his patience by the second because

you insisted on being so difficult.

Leaning over your little body,

his hand gripping your wrist tightly to stop

you from moving around so much,

he pinned you to the mattress,

his intense blue eyes looking down on you.

"You want a lollipop?"

He asked you lowly.

"Be a good girl and you can have

all the sweets ya want.

How about that hm?"

"How many?"

You paused,

looking up at him.

"Endless"

He coaxed you.

"You gonna be a good girl for daddy

and get in that car?"

"You said that last time"

You sighed softly,

looking off to the side.

"Look at me"

He told you firmly,

forcing you to look him in the eyes.

"I mean it this time alright?

Now be a good little girl,

get in the car and

daddy will buy you all

the sweeties ya want"

"What do I get in return?"

You asked him.

"What do you get in return?"

He scoffed.

"The fucking sweets"

"But I'd only be going because you want me to..."

You trailed off into a short silence.

"And you swore at me"

Sucking his teeth,

He rolled his eyes at how calculated

you had become,

the fact that he had let you get way out of hand

the past few weeks because he had been so preoccupied with an important deal coming up.

"Daddys sorry for swearing at you"

He said the words through gritted teeth,

staring to lose his patience with you.

"You can have sweeties

and I'll let ya stay up late tonight.

You can watch that movie you've been

begging me to let ya see"

You grinned back at him toothily.
