《Unpredictable | Wilbur Soot Angst》Logging On

It was time. Wilbur had been stalling the moment for almost a week and a half now. Techno was streaming at the moment, and the brunet had been staring at the screen for a couple minutes, trying to gain the courage to click "Join Call".
Fuck it. He said to himself, but didn't click. Come on, just do it! His finger still didn't move. Sighing, he removed his hand from the mouse, but in doing so, the computer registered a touch.
"Oh. Hello? Who just joined? One second chat." Techno's voice flooded the speakers, startling the boy. "Will?"
"Oh, um, h-hi, Techno."
"What's up?" the pig asked awkwardly.
"No-not much... Um, you?"
"Well I mean, I'm streaming."
Wilbur chuckled, "I-I know, I was, I was just wondering if, um, if you wanted to hang out? For a bit, o-on call I mean." he stuttered
"Sure. Do you have anything in particular you want to talk about?" Techno asked kindly.
"I du-dunno, wha-what are you doing r-right now?"
"Well I'm just renovating my house, do you wanna log on and help? You don't have to."
Wilbur pondered it for a second. He had played a bit on single player, and with Phil. But this was a whole other thing. What if you mess up? What does he want you to do? What if he is trying to trick you?
"OK." he whispered, as he opened Minecraft. Quickly, he found the Dream SMP in his server list, hesitating for only a second before clicking on it.
As soon as that server message appeared in chat everyone online erupted. Techno chuckled as he read some of them.
"Where are you?" Techno asked, realizing he got sidetracked.
"Um, I-I have no idea." Wilbur answered

"What are your coords?"
"Um, {insert coordinates}"
"OK, I'm comin' to you, just gimme a sec." Techno opened his inventory, grabbing his trident, ender pearls, and water bucket, he started to travel. It took him about twenty minutes, even while using the Nether. During his journey, they talked. No heavy subjects, and often Techno had to wait for Wilbur to gather himself, but it was nice. They laughed and joked and chatted.
Finally, Techno made it, Wilbur was relatively near (the remains of) L'Manberg, and he quickly located him.
"Here ya go." the pig greeted as he passed over golden carrots to the canonically dead character (there are so many things going on in that sentence...).
"Thanks." Wilbur had almost nothing on him (as he was playing the role of a ghost the last time he had logged on), and had subsequently run out of sprint.
"No problem." Techno stated, as they started making their way back, "though it was kinda funny seeing you starve to death." Wilbur let out a half hearted chuckle, and Techno realized his mistake.
"I didn't mean it like that."
"No, no yo-you're fine, I-I know- I know you what you meant." Techno remained unconvinced, but he decided not to push it.
They made it back, and Techno passed a bunch of blocks to the boy, and they started to build. Wilbur often checked, then double checked, then triple checked at each part. And Techno was trying very hard not to get mad, not at Will of course. At the guy who made the once confident, laughing teen, into the stuttering mess he now was. He gave himself a mental reminder to be more careful about what he joked about.

Small Chests Are Fine Too
It is an undeniable fact that good things come in small packages. More often than not, it is necessary to trim the fat in order to bring what really matters to the forefront. Having extra bulk may seem like a good idea, but in reality it is merely a crutch that will one day become a hindrance, as it is no substitute for personality nor ability. Indeed, often times it is the small things in life that brighten up our daily lives and constantly remind us exactly why we do the things we do. However, it is important to keep an open mind, for while bigger is not always better, there are also times when it is. This holds especially true when it comes to hopes and dreams, which have been known to require a suitably large container from time to time. And while dreaming big could potentially lead to massive dissapointment, one will never truly reach fulfilment if they think too small. A truth that one small woman with meager aspirations is about to find out. DISCLAIMER: This is a spin-off/side story of my main series, Everybody Loves Large Chests, which is also mandatory reading to understand this one. It runs parallel to the main plot, branching off from the chapter titled Upheaval 2, so there will be spoilers for anyone who hasn't reached that point.

(Un)Prophesied Heroes
A regular guy in his 20s gets sucked into a world full of levels, monsters, gods, and propchecies with nothing but his ukulele and the clothes on his back. Uke in hand, Wesley made his way to the local branch of the Bard College to pick up a few levels and hit the road to travel the new world. For a while its all magic forests and incredible sights, but as time goes on it seems more and more likely that Wesley is actually one of these "prophesied heroes" that the lore on this world is full of. Fortunately for him, whatever Dark Lord he was supposed to duel didn't seem to get the memo and the world seems to be at peace. So it's probably nothing, right? This is the story of Wesley's adventuring party as they do their best to get him to fulfull his destiny. A power-hungry [Rogue], a slightly evil [Cleric], a [Mage] that just wants to go home, and a [Lord] who just wants to study the blade. Hopefully destiny is on their side, because the gods seem content to watch them struggle. Author's Note: This story should update once per week, but it might update more. Please leave any constructive criticism/typos I might have missed in the comments. Please enjoy, and let me know what you think!
