《The wings of the lost. A ouat PeterPan Maleficent story》The scars of the past

I land on the small platform, careful not to fall off as I sit down. The usual boys were there, laughing about a stupid joke. I hated them, knowing I should be part of them because I'm high in the ranks but I'm different. I don't like to be a snob.
Someone climbed up to the platform making me turn to Peter. Peter was a friend who grew up with me. My nest was close to the village he lived and we would spend time together when his parents were off somewhere. I hand him a little bag of berries which he takes, hiding them. I'm not allowed to steal food but the village is in hard times and Peter needs them for his family. My father-the chief- allows Peter to come here but he needs to swear to not say a word to anyone else.
"Thanks. It's good to know that there are some good people in this world."
"Of course. You're all I have left." I answer truthfully.
"Don't get all crazy on me now." We look down at the boys, seeing they were picking on someone. My senses were now on high already since I knew her. I open my wings, ready to interfere. "Felix don't do it. They're just a load of crap." Peter warms. I ignore him, jumping off the platform and gliding down to them, beating my wings in front of me to slow me down as I land.
"Let her go, Sam!" I snap. The five boys all turn to look at me, turning away from the girl as she ran off to the tunnels, flying in before they could follow her. The leader looked at me, scoffing. His horns alone were tall enough to pierce through your skin, not too thick, they looked like you could snap them off but they were strong, I've seen what he can do with them. His wings were wide, big enough to push you back. He wasn't to be messed with, but I've had enough.
"And what are you going to do, Felix? Hide behind your big brother like the coward you are?" Sam gets closer to me. I stand my ground, opening my wings slightly in anger.
"I'm not afraid of you, Sam." I snarl. The boys chuckled, whispering about bets.

"But you should be." He growls. In a split second he was on the ground, the boys in shock I just punched their leader. I glance at Peter who hid in the shadows, know they would go after him if they knew I was here. Sam glared at me, getting to his feet as he tried to punch me back but I block him.
Before I knew it, the two of us went into a full out fight, wings tangled in wings, horns clattering, fists colliding. I hear the other boys now take teams, cheering us on. Something scraped past my eye, causing me to fall back. Sam tried attacking me again but something flew in front of us to keep him back.
"Alright stop it the both of you!" The voice of my big brother echoes through the cave. "Felix get back to the house, Mom wants you." He looked back at me, seeing you he gash. "Hey you alright?" I get to my feet.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I growl, opening my wings and flying down the tunnel, heading back to my home. As I get there, I land in the kitchen.
"There you are. I sent Borra looking for you an hour ago. Where were you?" My mother asked, panicked as she walked over to me. "Felix what happened!" She sees me, taking my hand off my eye.
"It's nothing. Just Sam." I mutter as she sighs.
"Mom we need to go, now!" Borra suddenly flew into the home. Both me and my mother turned to my brother.
"Borra what's going on?" I ask.
"People, they've found us." My brother said.
"Ah!" I turn to my bother to see her suddenly on the ground, a metal arrow in her abdomen.
"Mother!" I try and run to her but Borra held me back, dragging me out of the house. We fly out into the open, seeing what looked like a scatter or birds but they were all Fey trying to get away, but being shot down. An arrow was shot through my wing and I cry out in pain, quickly landing before I crashed.
"Get out of here!" Borra snaps at me.
"What? What about you?" I ask, looking at him with worry.
"I need to find Father and help him. You need to get out of here because you're the only Dark Fey left." He said. I was confused but soon figured it out.

"You're not coming." I answer.
"I have to stay here. But there's something Father wanted to give you." Borra hands me something, the feather clip passed down from chief to chief. I was second born meaning the only way I would get to be chief is if my brother died. "You are now chief, Felix. Now go. Go and never return." He pushed me away. I put the clip in my hair, flying out of the nest and through the forest. My wings burned with pain but I ignore it, flying to the outskirts of the village. Peter saw me from his home and ran over to me. I get the arrow out of my wing, the iron tip burning my wing as it healed. But I knew it would never be able to fly as hard as I once could.
"Felix, what's wrong?"
"My home, it-it's gone." I said, half in a daze at what just happened.
"What?"
"It's gone." I answer.
"Come on. I think I have somewhere we can go." He held up a bean.
"A magic bean?" I scoff.
"We can get out of here, go to anywhere we want. Come on. You have nowhere else to go. Come with me." I stare at him, thinking about what to do. I did have nowhere to go and I was lost. Giving him a nod, Peter threw the bean on the ground. A portal appears as I glance at Peter. "You need to start new." He said, jumping through the portal. I follow him, falling through the portal and open my wings, stopping myself before I fall to the ground like Peter did.
I land next to him as he got off the dirt ground. Tucking in my wings, I look around at the trees and wild plants, like nothing lived here before.
"What's this place?" I ask.
"Neverland." Something rustled in the woods and I spread my wings, flying after it as I hid in the trees, looking down at Peter.
"Hello boy." Peter turns around, seeing a girl at least 20, fire red hair and something else. Fangs.
"Who are you?" Peter asked.
"Teresa. Let me guess. Abandoned and needed somewhere to go?"
"How do you know?" He asks.
"Because I'm like you. Except worse. I was stuck in a glade where we lived and we had to get through this maze with these crazy things that can kill you with their venom. And the maze shifted. These runners went in and tried to find a way out."
"Like a maze runner." I figure it out but Peter said it first.
"Correct. So I came here. How I got to be this way isn't a problem. Now you are on my island and there's a price you need to pay."
"Alright then. What?"
"I'll let you stay here and grant you immortality, but I know you'll gain the island's magic and want me out. So, I grant you and this island immortality and I stay here."
"Deal. What's the price?" In a flash, her fangs were bared as she sinks her fangs in his neck. Peter's crows filled the clearing around us as he sinks to his knees in pain. Teresa pulled back as Peter collapsed to the ground unconscious. I fly down to him, shaking him to get him awake. Looking back up at Teresa, she licked the blood from her fangs. "He's all I have."
"Give him time and he'll wake up. You know, there's someone who I know where I come from, Thomas. He was a fighter and he knew the way out. No one listened to him though. I have a feeling you're like him. Picked on, the runt."
"Yeah." I nod.
"Word of advice, don't let anyone push you around. Stand your ground, tell them you won't back down. Make them listen." She said.
"I don't know if I can."
"Be proud of your scars, don't be afraid to show them off. They're signs of a fighter, a competitor. So don't be pushed around, last I checked Dark Fey are supposed to be strong warriors, not little birds scared to fly out of the nest." Teresa said, walking off. I touch the scar that would be a reminder of what I did today, to know I fought and I wouldn't ever be pushed around. Not again.
