He will be visiting each pack in order to find his mate and future Queen and Luna. Please ensure every female in your pack is in attendance.

My first night without my roommate felt weird. We spoke before going to sleep. Hannah's mate was currently in the Alpha King's office for a meeting and catch up of the day.

"Oh My Days Sophia! The palace is amazing! Totally huge! I can't wait to explore the whole place." She exclaimed excitedly.

I was trying really hard to be happy for her but a part of me really wanted that fairy tale of my mate finding me and taking me away from this place and living happily ever after with lots of pups. Who was I kidding! Good things never happen to me! Just when I find my mate, I had to go again. I was too embarrassed of him knowing who I really am and then him rejecting me, leaving me to spend the rest of my days being used and abused by the pack.

"HELLO? SOPHIA!" came the voice from the other line.

I quickly broke out of my reverie. "Sorry, what did you say?"

"I said, I can't wait for you to find your mate. I really hope he is from the Royal pack and then we can see each other everyday!" Hannah said.

I sighed deeply knowing that most likely won't happen but I didn't want to burden Hannah with my negativity when she is so happy and carefree. "Yeah, it'll be amazing!" I said hopefully somewhat convincingly.

I heard a door opening in the background. Hannah's mate must be back.

"I gotta go. Got to get some sleep before working in the morning." I told her. I wanted to go before it got too awkward.

"OK. Will speak soon ok?"

"For sure. Speak soon." And with that I hung up and went to bed.

"Omega! Where's the food?" came another annoying voice, breaking me from my memories.

"I'm coming!" I replied back. With that, I took the food into the dining area with a whole lot of eyes boring into the back of my head.

"Its about time!" came the usual drawl of Belinda. I unconsciously rolled my eyes and headed back into the kitchen to carry on with my duties.

"You know, it's a shame you weren't at the ball the other night. The King was all over me, I had to work hard to keep my distance." Came the irritating voice of she-who-must-never-be-taken-seriously.

I rolled my eyes again. We both knew she was the one throwing herself at the King and he was trying to let her down subtly but she wasn't taking the hint. Still didn't stop me from feeling possessive and jealous. He is MY mate after all. I also felt a sense of pride knowing that my mate didn't fall for her advances.

"It'll be any day now that he will be coming for me. I am his MATE after all."

I tried extremely hard to not let her words get to me but my wolf was battling against me to be let out and unleash some whoop ass on Belinda to show her who she was messing with.

"Calm down! We both know she is a lying scum who just wants a rise out of us."

"I know but she does not know who she is messing with!"

Suddenly, I hear another voice behind me.

"Still haven't learnt your lesson, have you Belinda?" Came the voice of my recently acquired friend and Alpha's daughter Olivia.

I turned around to make sure I don't miss out on the action. Belinda slowly turned around and faced Olivia.

"And what are you going to do? Run to Daddy Alpha?" Belinda replied tauntingly.

"No need Belinda. I know exactly what has been happening." Came the voice of Alpha Dan.

Secretly, me and my wolf were gloating. Karma has finally caught up with her. I was enjoying everything unfolding in front of me.

"A-Alpha...I -" Belinda began.

"No need to explain yourself Belinda. Still haven't learnt your lesson so I'm going to let you experience what it's like to be in another person's shoes." Alpha Dan began.

We all looked extremely confused. What was he going to do?

Alpha Dan looked at me. "Sophia, I'm giving you the week off. Enjoy."

I looked at Alpha Dan in complete shock. I haven't had a day off from my duties...ever. Even when I felt ill, I managed to get myself up to do all my work.

Alpha Dan continued. "Belinda, you will take over all the work that Sophia does for a week so you can learn and appreciate everything she does. That means getting up earlier than everyone, cooking breakfast, cleaning and helping other pack members with anything they require. Sophia, can you write up an itinerary of everything you do and timings"

I nodded to Alpha Dan.

Belinda looked between me, Olivia and Alpha Dan in bewilderment.

"You can't be serious! I just got my nails done! They'll be ruined!" She pleased with the Alpha.

She then looked towards me. "Look, I'm sorry ok? I didn't mean anything I said."

"Too little, too late Belinda. Karma had finally bitten you where it hurts the most." Olivia retorted.

With that, Alpha Dan returned to his office and Olivia cam to my side. We both looked at each other before leaving Belinda weeping on the kitchen floor.

We both headed for Olivia's room where we hung out.

"So...what are you going to do with your free time?" Said Olivia.

I thought about it for a bit and honestly, nothing came to mind. I always worked and never had a day off to do what I want to do and now that I have a week off, I have no idea how to spend that time.

"Honestly...I don't know. I have never had a day off and I've never been out of the pack territory so I can't say." I replied back honestly.

"You've never been out?" Olivia looked at me shocked and amazed.

I simply shook my head at her.

"Well, looks like we need to plan the week! There is so much you have missed out on! Don't worry, leave it all to me." She replied reassuringly.

Suddenly, we heard Alpha Dan's voice mindlinking us.

"Important pack meeting. All to attend ASAP"

Olivia and I simply looked at each other confused. We both got up and headed out to the pack meeting to see what was so important that Alpha Dan needed everyone together so quicky.

"What could be so important that your Dad has called a pack meeting?" I asked Olivia.

"I have no idea but we are about to find out. The last time was when Dad announced the ball the King was hosting." She replied.

Once we reached the area where the meeting was being held, most of the pack had already arrived. Olivia left my side to go up on stage with her family. I looked around and my eyes landed on Belinda. For some reason, a smirk reached my face as she looked back, scowling at me. I turned to face the stage and waited for the noise to die down before the Alpha began to speak.

"I have just received word from the palace. The King will be visiting every pack to find his mate." He began.

At that, everybody erupted in excited chatter. I looked confused. I knew he was coming for me, but I was afraid. Afraid once he finds out who I really am, he will realise I am not fit to be his Queen and Luna and he will reject me. I began to panic and suddenly, I couldn't breathe.

"The King will be arriving in a week so be prepared everyone. Dismissed."

I kept staring into space before Olivia snapped me out of my trance.

"You ok Sophia? You look like you're about to keel over." She looked at me worriedly.
