《Seoul Sisters In Atlantic City》Chapter 9: Same Sky, Different Time

Omona. It seems like the heat is on. I mean, it's time for us to welcome the last female singer to perform. I told Jieun about the song that the last female singer would sing as we waited for her. "It was Same Sky, Different Time. In Korean, it was Gat-eun haneul daleun sigan-e. You know, this was also the soundtrack of my TV series that I was in, and it makes me cry with a blurry water sight. Ottoke."
When the MC introduced the last female singer, Ngọc Anh, to perform, we clapped our hands once again and we waited for her to introduce the song like what we expected. "I would like to sing Same Sky, Different Time, from the classical K-drama, Queen and I. And I'd like to dedicate this song to Yoo In-na, who played Choi Hee-jin in this drama." She said after she took a bow. "Fantastic! That's what I said! Shall we hear it?" I asked Ji-eun and Suzy with a bright, alluring smile. "Yes, ma'am." Ji-eun and Suzy both said with their big thumbs up. The music started to play, and she began to sing softly and gently...
As I wait for you with nothing to do
My welled up tears are dyed with the sunset
You, who is waiting for me at the other side of time
Are rushing my heart again
I sighed and then told Ji-eun, "Ji-eun ah, this song reminded me of my crying scene in the 14th episode. I had to cry over 10 seconds and when the director said, 'Action!' I began to sob uncontrollably in a hospital bed just like I was mourning the loss of my love interest and I couldn't even stop crying with a trickle of tears. Remember that part?" And when she sang the chorus, Ji-eun cried silently and put her head on my shoulder because it was emotional and compassionate and it melted her heart.

Under the same sky, in a different time
Our sad love has tangled
I place my earnest heart in the moonlight
So I can shine brightly wherever you are
Ngọc Anh continuously sang the chorus after the second verse and over and over again until the final chorus and lyrics, "So I can shine brightly wherever you are." After that, she took a bow and thanked the audience for enjoying her first song before introducing the second one. Ji-eun then wiped her eyes and smiled at me and Suzy and said. "Thanks to the soundtrack of your Kdrama, I am finally feeling better. Thank you so much, In-na and Suzy." Suzy responded as she gave her bottled water to Ji-eun. "No problem, Ji-eun. You can have some water if you like because we're ready for her second song. And after that, we're going to see the last male singer to perform onstage."

The Due
Every sailor knows the tale of Davy Jones' Locker. That place drowned sailors are sent to, ever resting on sea's bed. Some tales recount of a ghostly ship, the Flying Dutchman. Many a story has spawned from these two tales. Countless retellings mixing in their own fictions. But all stories spawn with a kernel of truth to them, and the story of Davy Jones is no exception. Those who've met the legendary seaman and his ghostly ship might call him a ferryman, escorting the drowned to their respective afterlives. Others might call him a devil, meting punishment on those deserving. The true story is always slightly different. Davy Jones is a ferryman, but not one for the afterlife, as Walter finds out. No, Davy Jones manages those who die at sea while in debt, and Walter died with a lot of debt. Unable to pay, Davy puts Walter to work. The specter has just the job for the dead college graduate. Another god, Sod, needs an afterlife for his new world. Davy tasks Walter with the job. Suddenly, Walter finds himself having to run a fledgling underworld with little instruction from Sod. To top it off, the denizens of Sod's world have their own ambitions to achieve godhood, and they won't take kindly to Sod's newest employee shaking up the status quo. [Traumatizing Content tag is up just to let everyone know this will be a story that deals with different themes of death. Some of them won't be nice and so better to be safe than sorry.]

Homunculi: 6
A powerful family desperate to maintain its position at any cost meddles in the domain of the divine by designing and developing a new race called Homunculi. These creations are honed into brutal weapons to fuel their grand ambitions and keep their secrets hidden.Fresh eyes take in this world as a new Homunculus awakens. Its conditioning and training take an unexpected twist as it develops abilities and skills different from the others of its kind. -------------------- Surrounded by manufactured warriors who are incredibly powerful from day one, our MC will find himself lacking in innate skills and knowledge. Very much a weak to strong story. There is definitely action and adventure within, but expect a slow start that is focused on character growth, building tension, unraveling conspiracies, while learning about a new magical world. Some cooking and some daydreaming within. (I see you slice of life) --------- WIP art by Katie Z.

Field Trip to the Avenger's Compound
Wow. Soooooo original Marina. Peter taking a field trip to the Avenger's Compound? That's never been done before. If you're reading this, you've probably read other Peter fics. So, you get the gist. What's different about this fic is it's a reader insert! Now I've messed up the timeline A LOT (Barry Allen who?) with this. Aunt May let Peter live in the compound so she could travel the world like she's always wanted to. But (Y/n) and Peter both go to Midtown High. It'll make sense.... eventually.
