TW:contains blood, mention of knives and gore.

Alpha Eris walked towards orange eyes. To this day she couldn't bring herself to say his name, in her eyes, he didn't deserve an identity which a name most certainly would offer.

She walked towards his cell, motioning for the guard to leave. She wanted to be alone with him.

Her beast wanted to play.

The guard merely bowed before taking off in the opposite direction from the entrance.

Alpha Eris smirked before walking inside the cage she kept orange eyes in, to the naked eye, it looked like a normal cell, plain, clean, white walls, a single lightbulb and some torture instruments. But the truth was that everything to be seen was a lie. It was a projection, a illusion if you will.

The truth was that orange eyes was in a small, rusty, old cage, tied to the ceiling by all four limbs, hanging over a bed made entirely of spikes. His gauged eyes, mere bloody holes on his face, his whole body twisted in an unnatural way. The scene was horrific, blood all around him, his skin peeling off of his body and yet he was still alive. Eris never allowed him to die, she never wanted his suffering to end.

She smiled, remembering the words he once spoke to her, back in the days when she was in the facility. "Life is a photograph, it will turn out better if you smile." And oh, how right he was. She truly believed life was beautiful.

What an interesting thing, how those words came back to bite him in the ass.

She decided to let her beast out for once, seeing as orange eyes hasn't been mauled in quite some time and it was finally time to bring him out of his comfort zone.

The morph was quite fast, her height increasing, her body changing, accommodating her new appearance, the one she rarely uses.

Her claws lengthened and her teeth sharpened. Her beast was out to play and the groans of pain coming from orange eyes only increased her bloodlust.

She clawed at his chest, peeling his skin off slowly, her teeth pulled at his remaining limbs softly, teasingly.

Without one of his senses, it was even more terrifying and she knew that, she enjoyed that.

The screams of horror, the sobs of pain, the tremble in his muscles they all brought pleasure to her.

The sick, twisted kind of pleasure, the feeling of fulfillment.

Her tormentor feeling the pain she once felt, it was all still surreal to her. The sound of his flesh peeling of his bones was pleasing to say the least, the feeling of his raw, tender meat on her claws brought her a new type of excitement, she did love after all a good torture.

She kept biting and ripping until he looked more than dead yet he was still alive, she put a, spell, if you will, on him, that was the only reason she could do all those things without him dying.

She broke each and every bone of his once again, reshaping them in an extremely awkward way, she bathed him in his own blood, her paws painting a story on his body, her own, unique canvas.

Her dark thoughts didn't last long.

She removed her claws from his chest, harshly, she pulled her teeth from his flesh in an aggressive manner, her beast was distracted, it felt a new presence, a familiar one. While unhappy with the fact that her playtime was over so fast, her tail, if you could even call it that, started wagging. She was exited and for a different reason now, Zeus was there.

She trotted in his direction, ignoring the whimpering man behind her, with her head held up high, the beast stopped beside Zeus, waiting for something.

The moment he felt her come out, he decided to pay her a visit, it has been quite some time since he last saw her and he did miss her sadistic presence. He knew the scene he would find her in would be quite unpleasant but he was used to it. After all, she was a fierce warrior and nothing good could ever happen when she was out, there are very few reasons why she would come out so when he saw her trotting towards him, blood dripping from her muzzle, the stench of blood following her, he knew exactly what had brought her out and what had happened. Zeus was impressed to say the least. He patted her head softly and rubbed her ears before speaking.

"Dear, please shift back, I'd like to see you in your human form, not that I don't love this form as well but I'd rather speak to you and not to your fur side."

The beast nodded her head before shifting in one quick motion, standing naked in front of Zeus, Eris motioned for him to talk, after all he wouldn't be here if there wasn't something he wanted to talk to her about. He was an extremely busy man after all and even though he might've just missed his old friend, she wasn't naive to believe that was the only reason for his sudden appearance.

"You are quite correct, while you know I respect your privacy and could never invade it, I do need some way to communicate with you so I would like for you to let those walls down and allow me in that beautiful mind of yours for now so we can communicate." He knew he needed to ask her nicely to let her walls down because there was no way for him to read her thoughts without her allowing, not even as a god did he have that power when it came to her, it was shocking for him the first time he met her but after years of friendship, he understood it had something to do with how special she was.

Eris merely nodded before, telling him to continue, in her mind.

"They are near, the line of time has been bent recently and there is no way for us to contain them anymore. They're closer than they've ever been and our time is running out. All of us have done everything in our power to prolong the inevitable but we can't anymore. Their patience is running thin and we're at our breaking point."

She knew this already, she was grateful.

Peace wasn't a feeling or a emotion. It wasn't a thing at all. Peace was and understanding, something of everything and nothing and she knew it. Peace would never last long.

"I'm afraid peace was never an option, they wouldn't have ever stopped and Eris, sweetheart, they're done waiting and they're coming. They're coming fast."

With those last words, Zeus left, a light bolt striking through the ceiling of the cells, hitting the floor where he once was and disappearing into the ground.

She knew a happy ending was never a promise.

It was a wish.
