"Eomma! Eomma!"
I lightly tugged on my mum's shirt to catch her attention as she was cooking.
She turned off the stove and led me to couch, my hand wrapping around her index finger as she sweetly peered into my eyes. "Yes Beom-ah?"
"In my dreams, i finally spoke to her!"
"What is it beomgyu-ah?"
My dad had come in and had placed himself next to me; resulting for me to look up at my loving parents with doe eyes as he planted a simple peck on my mother's forehead.
"It was a girl. Her name is S.rj, I've been seeing her in my dreams."
"Really?"
"Mhm! She looked quite upset but she started to smile the more i talked with her."
My eyes looked up innocently at my parents proud of my accomplishment.
"Beom-ah, when you dream of someone, it's because you want to see them."
"So, does Beomgyu-shi want to meet this girl?"
My dad curiously asked, poking my nose making my eyes squint.
"Mhm!"
"Beomgyu-ah, you might not meet her right now but in the future, i know you will. Let's be patient okay?"
"Okay eomma!"
I exclaimed whilst they ruffled my hair and was met their warm smiles giving me some hope of seeing her.
Let's be patient beom.
I told myself- in my head not to rush things as I didn't want her to run away after seeing I was the reason behind her smile.

"Appa..."
I whispered as i woke up in his comforting arms that surrounded me, hugging my fragile body as if he protecting me from all the forbidden secrets of this world.
"What is it ryujin-ah?"
He trailed off with a soothing voice trying not to wake up my mum as we feared she will bring her bad-temper up once again.

Mother's mood is like a storm:
A violent storm can form into serene skies by an instant.
"I dreamt of someone. Beom was someone... nice. He made me smile appa."
I heard a sigh of relief almost as if he was for me to find someone to rely on.
"Ryujin, somewhere, someone will dream of your smile and finds in your presence that your life is worth while. So when you're lonely, remember its true someone is thinking of you."
"Arraseo appa."
I hummed in response as he hugged me contently.
"You'll meet him someday ryujin.
Just wait for a while."

An old man on his deathbed has many regrets, but the one thing he regrets the most is not fulfilling his sense of adventure. What would he do if given a new change? I always try to make the characters as realistic as possible by giving them lives of their own and motivations for doing different actions, but because I'm a new author, I might miss a few things, so please, feel free to tell me if something feels fake or unrealistic. I also write as a hobby, and my motivation tends to go up and down. If I'm not feeling motivated, I won't force myself to write. And of course, our Dark Knight will potentially make an appearance as well in Fallen Kingdom.
