I clapped my hands, looking into the lens of my camera. "Alright, everybody! Hello, welcome back. I figured you guys would want a break from crying your eyes out." I giggled, and chat started filling up with "OH THANK GOD"s.
"Today is actually going to be a vlog day," I mused and reached for my face. "So I suppose I don't need this," I finished, lifting my mask over my eyes and shaking my head. My hair fell into my eyes, and I had to brush it out.
The chat went wild.
"Oh please," I laughed softly, "It's just a face, you can calm down. I'm still the same U/n." Leaning down out of sight, I grabbed a water bottle and cracked it open. Cursing to myself as water leaked out onto my hands, I gently put my water bottle on my desk.
"Give me a second, ya'll," I muttered, standing from my chair. I left my room and headed for the kitchen, ripping off a sheet of paper towel from the roll. Speed walking back to my room, I caught sight of my mom, who shot me the stink eye.
I folded the towel and whipped the water off my hand. Once I was done with that, I tossed it into the trashcan next to my desk.
And then I accidentally knocked over my still open water bottle...
Onto my keyboard...
"Oh fuck," I gasped out quickly, snatching the now pretty much empty bottle off my desktop. Screwing the lid back on, I looked at my keyboard.
"Chat," I giggled lightly to myself, raising up my keyboard, "I think I made an oopsie," I managed to say before bursting out in laughter. My keyboard was completely saturated, this thing wasn't gonna work at all.
Oh well, I was planning on getting a new one anyway. I looked at the camera, smiling. "Thank god I was planning on vlogging. I would have been screwed otherwise."
Picking up the camera, I walked to my mom's room. "Hey mom," I called out, and got a quiet, "Hmm?" in response.
"I'm going to aunties, I'll see you later. While I'm gone, your caretaker should be here in about thirty minutes. Love you!" I said and received a tired. "I love you too." I tapped down the stairs, grabbing my keys and closing the door after I went through it.

Popping open my car's door, I slid into the driver's seat and started it up.
Smiling, I shifted the car into drive. In Canada, you always wanted a good working car. Otherwise, you were fucked. We were having a cold flash, and I sighed as the heater kicked in. Hopefully, my plants wouldn't die.
I zoned out as I drove, my camera still streaming beside me.
"Sorry if I'm not talking much, chat," I said, taking a left onto a dirt road, "I just haven't seen my aunt in a while. I'm kind of nervous. Even though my mother and I live relatively close, we just haven't been able to visit." I explained, pulling into the driveway.
Ahead of me was a large farm, there was an arena and stables. My aunt raised and boarded horses for a living. I could see two people waiting on the porch of the farmhouse. My aunt and her wife.
Almost as soon as I exited the car, my aunt wrapped her arms around me in a hug. She was quite a bit shorter than I was. Actually, in consideration, almost everyone was.
She was quite an odd woman, to say the least. My aunt had never actually informed me of her name. She just refused, always insisting that I called her 'auntie.'
"Hi auntie," I chirped, and she looked up at me, smiling. "Do you want to say hi to my viewers?" She waved at the camera and dragged me over to her wife, who laughed. "Nice to see you too, Evylyn," I mocked, talking to my aunt's wife.
"It's nice to see you M/n," she said, fixing the helmet that was resting on her arm. My eyes drifted to the helmet and widened. "Holy crap," I gasped, "You guys still have that?!" My aunt nodded and placed the helmet on my head.
I clipped the buckle and tightened the straps to the proper fit. Shaking my head around, I made sure that it didn't move.
"Huh," I said in surprise, "It still fits." And my aunt nodded, 'It figures,' she signed, 'You always did have a big head'.
"Oi!"
"Alright you two," Evylyn snorted, leading me over to the arena, "I already have the camera stand set up inside. You're all good to go."

"Thank you for setting this up, by the way," I said, walking with my aunt and Evelyn. Evelyn shook her head and smiled. "It's no big deal. We were pretty much free today, right honey?" She asked, looking at my aunt, who nodded.
I wandered into the arena and was met with a dark brown horse with warm brown eyes. "Oh my god, Reyna!" I cheered, and the horse made eye contact with me. I stood to her side because horses can't see you if you're standing right in front of them.
Reyna was a large Hanoverian horse. She was big because, well, I've always been pretty tall. So she needed to be large to match.
Quickly, I placed my camera on its stand, and Evelyn gave me a thumbs-up as I ran over to my horse.
Reyna butted her nose into my hand, and I could feel her warm breath. I scratched behind her ear, and she relaxed. Smiling, I went to her side. She was like a giant cat. I placed my foot in the stirrup and my hands at the front of the saddle.
Hauling myself up, I straightened my back and picked up the leather reins. I adjusted myself in the saddle, making sure it was straight. "Auntie!" I called, "Can you come to make sure the girth is tightened enough?" I asked, and she nodded.
Waiting patiently, I watched as my aunt nudged her hand under the girth, making sure that it was tight, but not enough to hurt Rayna. When she was done, she stepped back and gave me a thumbs up.
"Walk on," I said, nudging Reyna's side with my foot.
She started moving, and I let my hips move along with the rest of her, keeping my upper body still. I spoke to myself as I rode, "Heels down, toes up. Helps you keep your balance." I said, following my own directions.
Rayna and I walked around for a while, doing warmup laps. "Now we can go a little faster," I said and squeezed Rayna's sides with my legs.
"Trot," I asked, and Rayna's speed picked up. I bounced more than before, but it wasn't horrible. A big part of trotting was keeping control of your horse. If you weren't careful, they could run around on their own, and you would be dragged along for the ride.
Luckily, I had ridden with Rayna for years. She was about ten years old at the moment, which is like a teenager in horse years, I think. Rayna's height was about seventeen hands high, which is about 152.4 cm. (About 5'6)
I noticed the poles Evelyn and my aunt had set up. "Let's give them something exciting," I said, and Rayna's ears flicked towards me. I nudged her side with my foot, and she sped up again.
One, two... up and over!
Rayna's front legs lifted off the ground, followed by her back legs. I always enjoyed jumping over stuff while riding, it gave me the experience of weightlessness for a second. Until her feet touched down again, it was a nice experience.
When her feet hit, I jerked forwards slightly, but I stayed in my saddle.
I laughed in euphoria, moving Rayna to go again, but was stopped by Evelyn. She waved me over, one hand gesturing for me, the other holding her phone to her ear.
Sliding out of the saddle, I let out a huff as my feet hit the ground. "What's up Evelyn?" I asked, taking my camera off the stand, and it was then I realized how scared she looked.
"The caretaker just called me. Your mother fell and isn't waking up." She said, and I felt every drop of warmth leave my body. I barely even registered my camera falling out of my hands and falling onto the ground.
"What?"
-Later-
"The best option would be to transfer her to another hospital with the proper equipment," the doctor said, checking her clipboard, "But unfortunately, the closest hospital with the devices needed for Ms. L/n is located in England."
I sat next to my mothers bed, staring at the gentle rise and fall of her chest as she breathed. I despised the tubes that protruded from her nostrils. My mother was only in her late fourties, she didn't deserve this.
"I'll do it," I said, and the doctor looked at me. "What?" She inquired, and I repeated myself, more exact this time.
"I want the best option, transfer her to England." The doctor looked at me, she looked genuinely surprised. "That is quite expensive," she said, and I shook my head. "I have more than enough money saved up, and I can schedule living arrangements for myself."
"Are you sure?"
"Absolutly."
