Susan's P.O.V.

Today, after three months Adrian is coming back home finally. I'm really extremely happy and excited.

I hope I didn't look bad because after so many days I spent some time to get dressed today. I'm actually dressed up in his favourite Darkest blue denim jeans and Lemon Yellow spaghetti top with strap white flats. I set my hairs in a high ponytail.

Right now I'm at the airport parking area waiting for him to come out his flight has already landed and I am hoping after that we will spend the whole day together.

I miss him terribly. Not to mention cold space on the bed daily, eating breakfast alone, travelling to the office from home and home to the office alone, plus I have to drive on my own. All of that just because he can't be with me just because some people who can't handle their work on their own properly.

After fifteen minutes I saw him coming towards me. Why is he so handsome? God, he have a beard on his face, which was clean when he left me a few months back. It suits his features actually.

I quickly ran towards him and jump in his arms, he smiles widely and spun me around. This is where I belong I'm so happy now, I wish he never ever leave me alone. These last three months were really depressing for me, I don't want to through it again.

He put me down "Hey hey, its ok now, see I'm back, now don't cry. I really missed you. " He said, cupping my cheeks in his hands, wiping my tears away.

"I missed you so so so much, " I said, wiping my tears from the back of my hand.

"I miss you too baby" Adrian, said and close distance between us and lean in to kiss it's not long but enough to weak my knees. I move my hand to the back of his neck. He has his hands resting on my waist. I pull away and we both are smiling like teenage couple. He took my hand and then we interlocked our fingers. Get in the car and drove us to our home.

As soon as we get in the home Adrian went straight to freshen up and I went to the kitchen to prepare him a coffee.

After that we spent some time in the living room where he showed me the gifts he brought to me, it's a bracelet with quotation saying "forever together" obviously I loved it and of course my favourite perfume "Ari Eau de perfume spray"

"So you were busy enough not to attend my calls and replied to texts, but enough to bring me some gifts?" I asked while trying to lock the bracelet on my wrist in which I am failing.

"Maybe, but no I was not that busy plus, I brought that for you when I went to local market it was good to explore the sites." He took the bracelet from me and lock it around my wrist.

"It's pretty isn't it when I was buying it, I thought how would it look on your wrist, I immediately knew that it'll suit you so, I brought it" he is so cute and sweet.

I woke up early today as it's mine and Adrian's fifth Relationship Anniversary today. I took the day off today from the office because I planned to cook dinner and decorate home and I even brought the gift for him. He will be in the office that time, so it'll be a surprise for him.

I thought of inviting some friends, but then I don't know if he would like it or not? Because nowadays, it's getting really strange between me and him. He usually came home very late. At first I know it's work pressure.

But later I realise its not only that he's pushing me away and I don't know why? Now days went like sometimes all good, sometimes all wrong. I want to know, but he won't tell me.

He even yelled at me last week once because I took his phone from his hand, it's not my fault I was reading and his phone has irritated me by ringing again and again its distracting so he yelled at me and snatched it from my hand offended, I hated it. He apologized immediately, but the damage was already done. I even gave him a silent treatment for a week because of that.

Whatever forget about it, I went to the kitchen and prepare a coffee for me then I went to check where he is? I opened his room gate slowly popping my head in. He was asleep in deep sleep, I went near his bedside slowly.

I lean down to his ears "Good morning babe" I whisper in his ear. He moves a little.

"Good morning, What time is it?" he asks, rubbing his eyes, I guess he came home late yesterday night.

"It's around 9" I said while looking at the wall clock in his room for him. His eyes are wide awake as soon as the words left my mouth.

"What? Shit, I'm so late, " he gets up in a hurry and move to the bathroom. Susan he has lots in his plate give him a time he will wish once he saw a date. I console to myself realizing he might have forgotten about today.

"Susan babe please make some breakfast, I will just come out in like 20 minutes I have an important meeting today." He said from the bathroom.

I just nodded and walk out from his room and went to the kitchen. He cooks breakfast daily for me usually even wake me up too, but today I am making him a sandwich and coffee. The things I do for him. I waited for him till he came out of his room ready to leave in his office attire.

He came out in wearing while shirt and grey pants and jacket in his hand, he sat down and look at his breakfast and start eating without looking at me for once.

"Thanks babe" He said while eating.

"No problem. Come home early today I have planned something for us, " I said, hoping he'll get it.

"I'll why aren't you ready for office? Are you ok? Are you ill?" He asked, confused looking at me. I'm wearing Mickey mouse T-shirt with shorts and slippers and my hair in a messy ponytail.

"I took off today, " I said smiling

"And why?" He asked, looking suspiciously yet concerned for me at the same time.

"Because I feel like I should spend some time at home and I have some important stuff to do. Aren't you late for office??" I remind him about the meeting before he will turn into the complete police officer

"Yeah, yeah, I'm and call me if you need anything and take care. " He said while giving me a peck on my cheek, as he complete eating his breakfast and ready to go.

"Bye babe," With that he went out. He don't even remember. Nothing new he usually forgets dates.

"Bye" I said, waving at him.

It's 7.00pm

I have completed all decoration and food is ready too, I brought a cake and his present. I decorate the living room with fragrant candles and a little bit of lighting. I wore his favourite White mid thigh strapless dress with matching 4 inches, white heels and diamond studs which my mom brought for me on Christmas last year. I texted him to come by 7 he may come anytime now.

2 hours later

I called Adrian several times, once his colleague attended and said he's in a meeting that was an hour before. Now He is neither receiving my call nor replying to my texts, I called in the office his friend said he left the office 45 minutes ago and he hasn't reached home yet. What the hell our flat is 20 mins distance from the office.

Now I'm angry, not only that I'm also very upset. Am I this unimportant for him?

I can't wait now it's utterly useless to wait now. You ditched me today Adrian you ditched me, a very happy Anniversary to you. Such a moron.

I don't how many hours I spent just crying and still he didn't come home. His Best friend Rick informed me that he called him around 11 and sounds a little bit of a drunk. So, I got the message loud and clear that he doesn't care anymore. So, cleaned all decoration I stored that cake I brought in the refrigerator along with food and leave his gift on his bed. I didn't even touch the food it was like all of my appetite does suddenly.

Right now I'm on my bed crying myself out, how could he? All I ask him to come home early is it too big? Plus I'm worried about his well-being god please let him come home safely.

I don't know when I fell asleep while crying. All I remember is I listen to mom saying that she wants me home soon. While I was talking to her.
