"Now 'Mione, whos blood did you want to spill?" Felix asked as he stood next to the girl. "Pans, mine or Henry's?" Hermione laughed at the obvious question. "Anyone's, I want blood. And I'm going to get it."
Over the past two years of the girl being on Neverland, she constantly developed a blood lust. Therefore she developed the name of a Psycho. Hermione watched, watching Pan and Henry talk. She grabbed her dagger before walking towards the two, close enough for her to hear their conversation.
"Look at the fun they're having." He said as Hermione approached a group of Lost Boys. "You can do whatever you want." Hermione watched as the two took a seat on a log, both boys watching over others. "They never hurt themselves?" Hermione chuckled as she stood in the middle of the camp. "I want blood!" She basically shouted as she pointed her dagger at one of the boys. James, an older boy. "And I'll get it."
She watched as the boy smirked, he also held a dagger. "Come get it then, girl." He swung for her, allowing Hermione her wish.
"You see, Hermione, Henry." Peter said as he pointed to the lost girl, who constantly swung her sword at the boy. The lost boys stood around her and James, cheering them both on. Henry nodded. "She's got a blood lust, she's out for it all of the time. Sometimes she wants to kill, other times she wants to injure. Us boys never understand what goes through our little Psycho's head." The two boys began to watch the fight.
Hermione swung, catching James' collarbone on her blade causing him to stand back. "I would stop there but I'm having too much fun!" she shouted as she swung again, hitting the boy once more. Henry watched in awe at the girls sword skills. "How is she so skilled?" He asked Pan, his eyes not leaving the lost girl. "Piracy, Henry. Her father is Captain Hook." The young boy stared, "But Hook and Pan are enemies." "Indeed we are Henry, but Hermione wants revenge on her father. And she gets what she wants."

The two continued their fight. Hermione had been tagged a few times but her own blood, fueled her lust. "But they don't mind getting hurt Henry. It's the cost of the game." Pan shrugged, turning back to Henry, only for him to turn back to the Lost Girl ever once in a while to ensure she wasn't injured too bad. "I don't belong here." Henry mumbled, watching the fight.
Hermione swung one last time before calling the fight off. "I wanted blood, I got it." She said smiling as she helped her fellow lost boy up. "You lasted longer than I thought James." The older boy shook his head. "I decided to take it easy, don't want Pan going crazy on me for hurting his girl." Hermione chuckled. "We love a lost boy that lies. You where going all at it James, better luck next time. Ey lad?" The boy laughed, nodding his head as he did. "And us lost boys love when you go all pirate on us." Hermione rolled her eyes before walking towards Peter and Henry.
"-Your destiny, to return the magic and to be the savior." Hermione stood before the two boys. "My mom, Emma's the saviour not me." Hermione stepped in, crouching besides Henry, "She broke some stupid curse, big deal." Her dagger grazed her knee as she spoke, "We know more than you think Henry." she added, answering the boys unasked question. "What if breaking the curse didn't make her the savior." Pan began, "But having you was." Hermione remained where she was knelt, listening to the conversation and adding things here and there. "You were created by light and dark Henry." Hermione mumbled. "Do you think it's a coincidence that the spawn of the Dark One met your mother?" The girl was now sat cross legged on the floor before Peter, playing with his shoe laces as he spoke.

"So you think I'm supposed to save magic?" Hermione looked up. "He doesn't think he knows." Pan shook his head, "I don't know, I believe." Pan grabbed a folded piece of parchment from his pocket. "Remember I said I had something to show you." He handed him it. Hermione smiled as she knew what it was. "I've had this for a very long time. Long before you where even thought of. Take a look and you'll know why I'm so sure you're the hero." Hermione stood as Pan did, but she caught Henry throwing the folded parchment behind the tree trunk. She shook her head as she continued to behind Peter. "I don't believe you!" Pan smirked as did the Lost Girl. "You remind me of your father." Pan said before walking away, taking Hermione's hand as he did.

The Last Science [SE]
[SE has the same content as the original story, split into smaller chunks for easier reading. This story is on a temporary hiatus due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic. I work in healthcare and unfortunately no longer have the freetime to continue posting on a regular basis. As soon as our workload decreases, I will return. Thanks for reading! 💙] No one ever knows the whole story. Deep in the forests of the Pacific Northwest, the fading town of Rallsburg stumbles upon an amazing discovery—magic itself. Faced with potentially world-shattering power, the people of Rallsburg keep the secret for themselves. Led by Rachel DuValle, a perpetually underestimated college student with grand ambitions, they seek to found a new society. The world beyond suspects nothing, but magic cannot stay hidden forever. A train arrives in Rallsburg carrying Alden Bensen, a directionless high school graduate. To him, magic could represent meaning for his life, an explanation for his empty existence. This potent force offers anyone the power to change humanity forever—or send it cascading into swift and total annihilation. The Last Science is an ongoing science-fiction / low-fantasy web novel series, focused on the modern world with a twist. New societies bud and grow, but the people who make them up are imperfect and flawed. The story includes elements of mystery, action, crime, interpersonal drama, relationships, philosophy, sociology, politics, and much more, all centered on the perspective characters driving the tale. This is the "Scraps Edition" of the story, where the chapters have been split up into bite-size chunks (roughly 1500-3000 words), for your convenience. The prose has been edited from its original form, with some improvements, but there are no content differences from the original. New chapters will be posted throughout each week starting on Friday and appearing on multiple days thereafter, depending on the length of the chapter. Content Warning (by request): This series delves into some topics and situations which may be upsetting for some readers. In American rating parlance, the narrative would be rated PG-13 (except for language), but some have noted the story can get pretty dark on occasion. Golden Age
In the latter half of the 21st century fully immersive virtual reality has finally become mainstream; a brand new game company called Aurum Productions promises to bring about the most realistic fantasy MMORPG ever created with their flagship title, Golden Age. A new player who goes by the name, D0n, loads into the world of virtual reality for the first time in his life thanks to these promises. But what catches his attention isn’t the wild monsters, the in-depth quest lines, or the ability to perform superhuman feats — what draws D0n at first is a bit more… mundane. Sure he’ll put in the time to level up his character… just as soon as he can finish applying the last layer of paint on his new coffee table… and after he lands that triple backflip he’s been trying to do all day… not to mention the lady next door was talking about a new horned rabbit stew recipe she was working on… Sure a world of swords and magic in virtual reality means a whole slew of fantastical experiences you can’t get anywhere else, but it’s not like those are going anywhere. And virtual or not, D0n is determined to live out his reality with a pace and vision that suits him best. It’s just a shame that his habit of a personalized play style has some far reaching consequences even Golden Age’s dev team could have never predicted. New Chapters uploaded every Wednesday.
