CHAPTER 24: UNDERWORLD
{Area 02}
Meanwhile, at Area 02.
A day after the Commander of the 1st division knight—Leader of the white wolves, Lena Melathia, arrival.
*Whirl*
The wind blew, gushing snow into the air, creating a silent noise that filled the area.
There she stood under the chilly weather, with a white long furry coat that covered her entire body down to her knees, and a white geared boot that sunk into a snow pile.
Behind her were the rubles from the fallen buildings covered in thick snow.
She gazed upon the white scenery, filled with snow, could also be seen with [men in white] watching her as she stood there for hours without making a single all movement.
A few [men in white] could be heard whispering words to each other, as they talked about the captain's unusual mood and menacing aura.
"Hey, how long as the captain has been here".
"Hmm... I don't know maybe a few hours".
"And what's with the aura she looks like she's in a bad mood".
"I think it was because the professor was supposed to arrive before the captain, but she arrived before him due to some issues with communication".
"Ehh... That's bad news... Then why is she standing there".
"It seems like she's anticipating the professor's arrival".
"Looks like the professor is in for some trouble".
"Yeah".
They then noticed the captain's aura was getting intense, so to avoid being dragged into, they said
"Well, we better start going before we get in trouble".
"Yeah".
*Whir*
After a short while, the sound of an airship was heard.
It was a knight-type ship with a flat V-shaped alien-like body and rocket propellers moving it forward.
As the captain and [men in white] gazed upon as it landed on the snow.
The ships propellers changed positions, as it was observed blowing the snow away to make a path for landing, as the wind was filled with snow lingering in the air.

*shee*
Afterwards, the sound doorway opening of the airship imbues the air as opened with stairs going down.
Stepping down the stairs was the professor in his usual crow mask and a black cloak.
The captain then strolled down to the airship to welcome the professor on his arrival.
On reaching the professor, she then stopped, adjusted her breath, as she said with a smile.
"How was your journey?"
In spite of the long wait, the captain was optimistic about his visit.
"Ahh... Captain Lena, how's the weather today?"
"Freezing as always".
— Don't know why the Queen sent him alsoo, but I don't just trust this professor, but if it's for the Queen, I have no choice but to obey.
She pondered with a frank expression.
The professor was fleeting ignorant of the facts, despite knowing he also called to search for the remaining subjects.
After a short pause, the continued as she said.
"Ahem, so let's get down to business".
The professor was confused over her statement—that gave the impression she had found them. He then asked to confirm.
"Wait! How are you going to find the subjects without any clues?"
"How? You say... It's simple".
She then brought out a blood sample, and said.
"I have their blood, so finding them using the lingering traces of their mana wouldn't be a problem for you".
The professor pondered as he was shocked at the sight of the blood sample m
— Tsk! I never expected the captain to be this smart despite being a loyal dog... Now if the captain finds them, she's going to report back to the Queen regardless of the outcome. And I wouldn't be given a lee way on experimenting them, but I can't say I don't know a way to find them using blood. Knowing I had helped before in finding criminals, I can't lie to her.

Hah! Looks like she got me where she wanted.
"Yes".
He said, as he was left with no option but to follow her.
"OK, so let's get to It".
She then threw the blood sample to the professor, by tossing it into the air.
Noticing it, the professor then catches it in the air with telekinesis.
Immediately, the captain then left to arrange a few men as escort, while the professor went into the airship.
Moments later, the professor came out the airship with a small white stick, containing a blue tip that displays coordinates and on a 3D-holographic screen.
On reaching their take off points, he sighted five white knights beside the captain, who rode a large wolf spirit.
Beside the knights were also wolf spirits, a few feet taller than them, with striking white fur matching snowflakes, the spirits were more different from normal wolves, as they were mainly used in the white knights' regime
"Finally, is the device ready?"
She said as she noticed the professor pacing.
"Yes"
He said as he glanced at the captain getting ready to take off
"OK, get on, you're coming too".
She said pointing at one of the spirits without a rider.
The professor pondered as he quietly strode to the spirit and mounted it.
— I don't know what your plan is either way. You have to show me something interesting, otherwise those two subjects would be mine.
Afterwards, she then shouted.
"OK... Everyone we are departing".
Instantly, the knights then mounted onto the spirit as they dashed into the freezing snow in search of the two subjects.
Meanwhile, Aria lost consciousness.
In an unfamiliar place.
— ugh... Where am I?
Aria awakens.
Shifting her gaze behind her, she noticed the ground was pitch black.
Perplexed by the strange surrounding, she pondered.
"What was I doing before?"
After a while, she remembered.
— Ahh... I was fighting a klaur, then... I passed out. And what am I doing here?
She then glanced at her body and noticed she was glowing blue everywhere.
"Am I dead?"
Dodging the long thoughts, Aria shifted as she said.
"No, no, no... Before that, where am I? I have to meet Kyrie before she freaks out".
Aria then stood up and stepped out.
*crack*
She then heard a strange sound as she stepped a few feet.
Glancing down her feet, she noticed a skeleton head.
Terrified by the head, she shouted, falling down the ground.
Ahhh!!!!
Simultaneously, the head also shouted out.
Ahhh!!!
After a moment of shouting, the head said.
"What happened? Why are we shouting?"
The head then rolled over to Aria's side, and noticed she passed out.
"Ohh... It seems like we have ourselves a spirited away".
It let out a sigh and said.
"Hah... Just when I thought I'm at my free time, I ended up surveying the lands, and then there was this hole I fell into and broke down".
Glancing at Aria, It pondered.
— But, what is a spirited away doing here?
With a gloomy look, it said.
"It seems like my job is never at a free time.
Well, let me fix my body before she awakens".
Later on, Aria awakens again.
"Huh! What was I doing?"
With an enthusiastic look, the skeleton said.
"WELCOME TO THE UNDERWORLD".

Virtuous Sons
The saying goes that when a man is born the Fates weave his destiny and swaddle him in it. Then one day the man dies, and the swaddle becomes a shroud. Heaven moves on.
