《Promise》Drive

It's a long drive home after work as my weary body can barely function due to stress and the surprisingly instant cold tempature. I should have expected it cause the last few years we didn't get show at all but it was supposed to reach a high of 37° Celsius bet its more like -27° and I'm feezing my balls off starting my Camaro that I had recently bought after getting a promotion to District Manager after working at my job for over 10 years. Pulling out of the parking lot I almost hit Roland who's second to me he looks as eager as I am to leave work and go home before we're hit with anything more severe, as I wave for him to go first he thanks me and waves as he leaves the parking lot I turn on the radio to listen to the News but only got static or the occasional low hum of a nearby channel trying to come through. I continue driving as I get onto the highway I notice the darkening sky above and a harsh wind that seems to be hitting the car head on which hindered me very little as my car pushed through with easy but the bigger vehicles started to slow down on the highway most caught onto this quick as the first drops of snow pierced the skyline. A grim sight as we were entering a thick fog on the highway, it wasn't even 5mins into the fog when I heard commotion up ahead and I slam the Breaks as I slid on the frozen pavement into a 18 wheeler skidding across the highway from the other side taking out the front of my car as several were hit by it spinning off down the slope of the mountain we were driving through I was one of the luckiest of few pushed off as we were still near the base of the cliff. There was a forrest to catch many of the cars as we were caught by the old strong oak trees the Semi's weight pushed through them like they werent there, a few cars swerve off the road every so often even watched a cop on a motorcycle get his skull crushed as his bikes came crashing down the hill, due to the fog all I could see was his bikes lights flashing as a very vague silhouette slammed into a very wide birch tree. I passed out due to a panic attack or maybe head trama as a ford nearly drstroyed whats left of my car.

I awoke maybe 3 hours later it was so fucking cold I had to get home it was about a good 7 miles North east but besides the howling cold it was eerily quiet I slowly made my way up to the highway the road was empty besides the wrecked car and a large blood stain that travels a good 15 feet infront of it as if 2 people were ejected from the front seat but no second vehicle or any at that point but something did hit the cat as the whole front caves inward like it wrapped around a pole but no sign of anything I hear distant thunderous crackles f thunder or I hope it is at least, I start my long walk home through this frigid coldness hearing the occasional Screams of people probably who also went off road but their screams cut off shortly after they start. I can't move my fingers due to them turning purple from frostbite and it seems to be getting colder I'm coming up to ny house I share with my brother, his wife and there younger son.
in the front yard I see what I can vaguely call a moose I think its huge with antlers, It looks my way with its disfigured face all crooked into a grotesque human like smile as it shuffled backwards into the forrect like a flimsey empty sock puppet I make a made dash up to the house to see a massive hole in the front wall where the front door was, I venture not to far to see the back room door closed covered in a deep red sludge the smell of rot very faint as my nose was frozen closed but I feared to look. Making my way to the front porch to vomit I see the massive creature watching me from a good 50 feet away as the fog lifted somewhat it was very much Bipedal standing up around 13 feet it opens its decaying mouth into a disturbingly Smile it watches me in some perplexing way for amusement or curiosity. I turn to look upon the house when I and The Uncanny Watcher both hear the sounds of laughter coming from deeper into the woods a deep eerie silence fills the woods...

Shizuka
A/N: I'm actually writing two stories at once, this and another story on ScribbleHub. I have decided to put Shizuka on hiatus due to some RL issues but my story on ScribbleHub will continue since I'm co-writing it with a friend which is easier. Please do check it out on ScribbleHub. Series name is Walking in Shadows. Four Heroes were summoned from earth to combat an evil threat in Evarenan but there was a fifth person, Hirano Shizuka. She was never meant to be summoned. It was purely coincidental and unintentional. The God who acted as the intermediatery for the summon, has shunned her. Fated to live a harsh life in a foreign world. Abaddon, a Goddess, the Empress of Night, took pity upon Shizuka. Fascinated by the strength of her will and soul, and fond of her humble and accepting character, the Goddess offered Shizuka to be her Champion which Shizuka accepted. A month passed after the arrival of the Heroes and a plus one at Evarenan, the real trials and nightmares of this world had only just begun for our offworlders, especially Shizuka. AN: Shizuka is the sequel to Overture of an Odyssey, which takes place after the events of the latter.

Miracle Angeliva
Spirits, or what people usually referred to as ghosts, are something that has always been with us since ancient times. Some people are gifted to see them. However, most of us can’t see them without training. And without seeing them, we won’t believe. People only believe what they see, after all. However, I assure you, spirits are real. Spirits are always there. Just because you can’t see them doesn’t mean they are not real. Just like people of ancient ages who can’t see bacteria or those who can’t see stars further than eyes can see, there are limits to our technology. Similarly, even though the current technology can’t prove the existence of supernatural beings, that doesn’t mean they don’t exist. In the future, if we can develop technology so everyone can see them just like how a microscope helps us seeing micro beings, I believe everyone will believe it too. That being said, I still can’t prove their existence yet. -Raleigh Von Vlad Update daily (if possible, if not, guaranteed chapters are on Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday) Thanks to gej302 for the fantastic cover!

Dekker's Dozen: The Last Watchmen
When a demon-possessed tree tries to impose its will on the universe, the future turns dark. But what does Dekker want? The leader of the only mercenary squad capable of standing in the enemy's way would be content if his ex-girlfriend and business partner promised not to stab him again. As he and his eleven teammates track down the intergalactic assassin who stalked his family for generations, they encounter Ezekiel, a mysterious man claiming to be a time-traveler and ancient prophet. Ezekiel claims Dekker will responsible for the annihilation of all reality--but worse, he knows all of Dekker's secrets: that he wields an ancient, celestial weapon, was once married to a terrorist, and is the last member of the Watchmen--an ancient secret society with one purpose. At Ezekiel's insistence, and with a super-weapon in the hands of warring armies, Dekker and his team must do the unthinkable to prevent the Sun's annihilation before his archenemy can bring what Ezekiel calls "the divine engines of reality" to a grinding halt--breaking all of existence--destroying all that is, will be, and ever was! Steampunk time-travel, cyborg ninjas, plant-spore-controlled unicorn zombies, a deep-space plague, ghost warships, alien cat-people, living planets, and star destroying Hassidic superweapons converge in one epic, but doomed, timeline.
