《Bone Sage》Chapter 6:Gearing Up!

Another morning rose up in the inn.
Mathias was still sleeping soundly while Melton began waking up. After waking up he went down in the cafeteria and had a meal.
The meal he had consisted of hard bread, some sort of creamy soup along with slices of cheese and a glass of goat milk. As he was eating he notices Mathias walking down the stairs while yawning with his left hand and holding his right hand on his head. He went to the table Melton was sitting at and sat down.
"Sheeeeee man. The hangover hits real hard nowadays"
"Didn't I tell you to go easy" Melton replied
Mathias gagged a little and said "Y'know Melton. In this town you either go hard or go home..... and y'know.... I am from Capital so going hard it is."
A waitress approached them and served Mathias a breakfast.
"Here. I told them in advance to prepare something once you get down."
"Awwww man you so sweet"
Mathias then took the wooden chug and dived into his drink. The moment he began drinking he immediately smacked the chug down and started coughing. After coughing up for a while he turned toward Melton angrily
"Why's this shit so bitter!?"
"Quiet down there is people in there"
Mathias quickly moved his chair near the one Melton was sitting on and whispered in his ear
"Why's this shit so bitter?"
Melton decided to calmly reply and said:" It has a ginger in it. It will help you get over hangover"
Mathias seemed a bit panicked and said in his ear : "You killed a ginger and put him in my drink!?"
"No you idiot. Its a type of plant. They use it in food and drinks and stuff. Ever heard of ginger ale or something similar?"

Mathias seemed to sober up a bit, backed his chair off and replied
"Thankfully I didn't. This dude bitter as hell"
"But you do feel sober right?"
"Ye but this dude bitter as hell"
"Don't complain and enjoy the gain"
"What?"
"Nothing. Lets just finish eating and try to get info about Council of Torment."
Mathias started to stare at Melton all of a sudden
"What?"
"U got anything else to wear man?" Mathias replied because he noticed the state of the clothes Melton wore.
"Where do you thing I would store clothes. I barely got this"
"Why don't we find some clothes first then"
Melton started thinking. Ever since he met Corneleonis and was blessed by his hospitality he never went to shop for clothes or anything other than food that was necessary for travel so he forgot about it. He decided to follow the advice Mathias gave and so they headed out to the store for armor and clothes. They were inspecting all kinds of armors ,from full metal armor you would imagine in an armored tyrant who died on a mountain of corpses up to the ones that were more for "display" and "showing off" than actual battle. While looking around Melton noticed a armor that said "Made from the fur of Warrior Bear". After seeing it he called for Mathias with a question in mind.
"What u calling me for?"
"You see this right?"
"Ye. It's made from the fur and skin of the dude you obliterated"
"Is his fur expensive?"
"Ye. Compared to some materials it is quite pricy because its durable"
"Then why the hell did we not skin him?"
"Oh. You see. You can take materials for cash or you can let scouts bring it to guild instead. When they do they get a cut of money and the rest goes to guild. It is something like donating materials since you do not want them anyway or you just think its pain in the ass"

Melton started slowly hitting his cheeks to calm himself
"Alright. I think I chose what to wear"
Melton got himself a light set that was more outfit than armor. The set was made of blue cloth and had no sleeves so Melton had his shoulders exposed.
"It looks quite cool but you gonna bite the dust if you rely on the protection of that thing" Mathias said
"I won't. " Melton replied " I got an ace up my sleeve"
"Hoh? You got something to show off?" Mathias asked surprised
From Meltons shoulders the bones started growing and connecting to each other making up a bone armor for both his arms and chest. It had spikes on shoulders and around the fist.
"Duuude. That's totes cool."
" I know. This ability is quite handy" Melton said with confidence while showing off "I can even retract it"
"So it is like a hidden armor"
"Exactly, I can also create a sword from my bones"
He pulled a sword from his back. It looked a lot like a spine and seemed quite sharp
"This bad boy can even extend himself if necessary. I was thinking a lot about what can I do with my abilities so there was quite a lot of ideas. I am also glad they all work and are very easy to learn."
"Well I know what that means"
"What do you mean"
"Lets first go back to the inn"
"Ummm. Ok I guess"
And so they headed to the inn. After arriving in the in Mathias screamed "CELEBRATION PARTY" and the night went the same way as last one except that this time Mathias knew what will happen if he gets too drunk so he limited his alcohol. Melton was a bit angry that at every single achievement ,no matter how small, he decided to celebrate but he knew that nothing will come out of being angry so he decided to relax a bit as well. After spending the night happily with the people of the inn they decided to go to their rooms and sleep.

8 239Time Can't Heal This
I've always hated the saying "Time heals all wounds." Maybe in most cases that may be true. In my experience with life and pain however, time has only ever bled out the wound. The scars that the wounds left behind though, are often so deep that just looking at them becomes painful to the mind. Time only heals what you let go of. Sometimes letting go and moving on just doesn't feel possible; no matter how much time you let pass you by.These poems signify what time hasn't healed for me.
