《Story Ideas and Beginnings》Superpower serum

"Listen up!" A man in a militaristic uniform says loudly.
"You all were chosen as the first humans in history to reach a new height which was believed to be impossible to achieve for anyone.
Today you all will prove the world that a new age has begun for all of humankind." His loud voice finally awoke a woman in the far back of the rows of forty people.
She has short blond hair bound into messy ponytail and sleepily blinks her mellow blue eyes.
A lazy yawn escapes her full pink lips and causes some of the people standing close to look at her in disapproval.
Her name is Laufey Weiss she is a standard soldier who had the luck to be chosen as a participant for this world changing project.
Too bad that she didn't really care for anything other than to laze around, she has mastered the arts of sleeping in any situation at any moment of the day.
She would have long since left the army if not for her family which has a rather strict military background thanks to her two grandfathers who both had considerable achievements in the past war.
Because of this she could only curse and endure the four years in the army and role with it.
Luckily her fourth year is just a month away from ending and she could already feel the softness of her couch.
Laufey rapidly blinks her eyes and regains some of her focus as she hastily got herself a crude overview of the current situation.
´From the tone of the generals voice I can safely assume that nothing of importance has been said till now. If he had he would use that big ass screen behind him to list everything that has been said so that we can be sure of each step.´ Her mind, even though still a bit slow, was fast to gain a picture of her surroundings and the current situation.

After confirming her deduction by listening to boring speech of the loud prick at the front, she let her mind wander and imagine what she should do once free of her current situation.
The boring speech goes on for another five minutes before finally something interesting was said.
"There are three different kind of serums from which you can choose.
Red Serum, this will give you a superpower of the emitter class, allowing you to produce and emit different things from within your body.
Blue Serum, this will give you a superpower of the manipulator class, allowing you to manipulate existing matter or energy.
Green Serum, this serum is the most unpredictable as it will give you a mutant class superpower, which comes with extreme physical changes but also strange and mysterious abilities." General seriously explains.
Laufey looks straight at the face of the general with a blank look in her eyes.
´After telling us all this does really expect any of us to take the risk and choose the green serum? ´While she muses over this the general continues on about something less important which Laufey automatically tunes out.
Only once the first candidate steps forward and reaches into one of three boxes did she focus her scattered mind and looks on in interest when the man with short brown hair takes out a vial with red liquid from the box.
´Of course he choose the red one.

A (Not So) Simple Fetch Quest
Oh great hero! The evil Demon Lord has once again arisen to terrorise our lands, and we have summoned you to save our people! No, we don't want you to fight the demon lord! Of course not; we're the good guys! What sort of good guys kidnap people from other worlds and force them to take part in wars that have nothing to do with them? That would just be plain evil! We'd be no better than the demons! Katie, after her summoning by an excessively loud mage suddenly takes an unexpected twist, is sent off on a simple fetch quest, with a promise that she'll be back home in five minutes at most. She doesn't even need to leave the building. Alas, when a goddess' blessing causes her wish for an actual adventure to be taken rather more literally than she expected, she finds herself lost in a dark cave, far away from the sword she was supposed to acquire and far too close to a population of giant bugs. Still, at least she wished her life wasn't in any danger. Among other things. Be careful what you wish for. You might just get it. This is a dark litRPG adventure, both in terms of Katie accidentally wishing all the lights out, and also in that she loses as often as she wins, often with horrific and disturbing consequences. Luckily, Katie isn’t the sort of person to let a mere grizzly death or two get her down, and is prepared to try, try and try again to get her hands on the holy sword and finally complete her ‘simple’ fetch quest. Or perhaps—with a few resistance skills under her nightie—she might even come to enjoy losing. Not that she’d ever consider forgoing revenge, even if she did. I’ve ticked all the content warning checkboxes for this one. There’s no explicit sexual content, but there are enough references to justify the warning. Profanity happens rarely, but Katie isn’t averse to swearing when she gets particularly angry. As for gore/trauma, it doesn’t get much worse than the first few chapters, but there will be occasional chapters that have extra content warnings.

Candor: The Forgotten House
*** Please read note below *** As a 16-year-old mage from a powerful family, Jayce Candor had known from a young age what his future would hold. As the fourth son in his family the possibility of him becoming the heir to the household was very small. But, with his talent as a mage, his potential accomplishments in the military could lead to titles of nobility and political power. However, on what would otherwise be an unremarkable night, everything he had ever known, the only people he ever cared for, and all of the plans for his future were destroyed. House Candor, one of the six great houses that helped build the Eldoran Empire had been erased from history. By imperial decree, all those bearing the name Candor were hunted down and executed as traitors of the Empire. With no home, no family, and only death waiting for him, Jayce decided to escape north to the uncharted Northern Territories to begin a new life. Forced into situations he was never prepared for and trying to cope with his past, Jayce tries to find safety in a place spoken about only in legends. There for the first time, he will make true friends and find people he will come to see as family. He will encounter strong enemies, build powerful alliances, and become a person his ancestors would be proud of. But surrounded by creatures he thought only existed in tales and pressed by the Empire’s constant expansion, Jayce’s safety may be only an illusion. To survive a world fraught with danger Jayce will need to grow stronger with each new experience and rebuild his once forgotten house. ********************************************************************** Note: The story starts slow. Although there is more action as the story progresses, there is a fair amount of introspection and character introduction in the first 30 chapters. Jayce is the main character, however, other characters play a large role and the story is seen through multiple POV's. This is a draft, it is not a finished work. This is not a story that focuses on an OP MC who beats up on weaklings. At times there can be a fair amount of internal monologue. Some of that may be edited out when I rewrite the story. I decided to keep it in the draft because I think it is better to have too much material rather than too little when I edit. Constructive criticism is appreciated as it helps in the editing and rewriting process. Check out my other story Shattered Mind here

The House Husband's Multiverse Fueled Journey From Mediocrity
"What existed before the Big Bang?", "Why are 7/11 taquitos so good?", and "What lies at the boundaries of our universe?" are all questions that have forever haunted the best and greatest minds humanity could offer. Questions which we may never hope to understand. At least, not until the ever expanding Multiverse beyond rips apart the boundaries we once had and absorbs our own little slice of Greater Space. Will we even survive our home planet, now refurbished with the mystical energy of the cosmos? John Mermous, house-husband-cum-author-cum-father, has absolutely no idea.
