Gnomes, and Demons?

Pvt Leo - Rex's Undead Army

6/4/25 Time Afternoon

The doors opened, there seated at a large table, a gnome sat in the chair at the opposite end.

At the other seats were more gnomes, each one dressed in fancy clothes as they looked towards us, the gnome who was guiding us kept leading us while the rest of the gnomes went outside to wait.

The single gnome at the end of the table stood up with an expression of surprise and happiness as the gnome set his eyes on us.

"Hiel juilk el nur." Said the rest of the fancy clothed gnomes.

"yui Joi fros." The gnome who stood up said.

We looked still unable to understand them, The gnome got to us and we all looked down at the little guy.

"Ym Keled Tysal." The gnome said happily

We stared blankly as we understood none of it, the gnome then had a surprise expression as he spoke again,

"Et fec Evicr." The gnome said towards the table.

A gnome who was dressed with all kinds of hardware stepped off of his chair as she walked over to us, the kid was about to walk over to her, but an orc grabbed him by the shoulder and gave him a death stare.

The kid immediately stopped and stood obediently, as she got close she looked at us then pulled out a bottle out of her side pack, she then popped out enough pills for all us as she lifted her hand out.

None of us was going to just eat some strange pill, well unless you are a fanboy of gnomes, the kid just inhaled that pill.

Once again all we could do was give him a *what the fuck* kind of look.

The kid then looked at us as he fell down to his knees then fell to his back, his body began to twitch out of control.

"Its an attack!" I yelled out as I drew my sword and immediately lunged out to retrieve the kid.

The orcs and other 3 humans drew their weapons as they began to move into positions, this was bad we are in an unknown world full of these small gnomes.

The gnome who led us here had a surprise look on his face as he tried to aim his rifle but got kicked by an orc, that small gnome twirled in the sky as he flew and landed on the table, the doors flew open as the gnomes outside heard the commotion, one of the gnomes at the table pressed a button as 2 large holes opened up near the middle of the room and two large machines easily the size of 12 feet came out of the holes.

The gnomes at the door aimed their rifles as the orcs made a shield line, I ran by the kid and instead grabbed the gnome next to us along with the female one, I held them as I held them by the throats.

The room went into a panic as I did this then the gnome who was sent flying got up and he wiped his blood off, as he grew pissed, remember when I said small people with guns are scary?

Well Small pissed people with guns are way more terrifying, the gnomes just stared at us not moving an inch, this gnome who was the first to walk to us must be the leader then.

As the fight was about to start the kid stood up and looked around and spoke.

"what is going on?" He says in confusion.

"jui jekl lo pos" the gnome in my arm says in between every breath as I'm holding his throat.

"WHAT!" The kid says surprised.

"How could you guys hurt the gnomes and even think that they were attacking!." the kid says pissed towards us.

He understood them?

How? Then I remembered the pills he took.

"everyone take the pill and put your weapons away." I said calmly as I let the two gnomes down.

I took the pill and the others were hesitant at first until I popped it in and nothing happened, I looked at the kids and asked him.

"Why did your body do that?" I asked him.

"Probably because I got too excited after taking the pill." the kid said as if that's normal.

We all gave him the face again of *what the fuck?*

This kid is just too much.

"anyways My name is Tysal. Emperor of Gomes." The Gnome said.

We looked at the small man as we understood him, so I was right the pills allow us to understand them.

"I'm Pvt Leo I represent . . . . . ." I stopped talking as I realized that we don't even know the man's name who brought us back, I looked to the others and they just shrugged.

The gnome looked confused as I continued.

"I represent our Leader who is currently busy" I said as I prayed he took it.

The kid was about to speak as I punched him in the gut.

*gahk . . .* Was all the kid said before I punched him.

"excuse this young man, he is new." I said as the others nodded.

"alright, you all must be wondering why I brought you here" Tysal said

"Yes we were, I was not expecting to see another Gate in the cave." I replied

"We were not expecting to see undead either." Tysal chuckled

How did he know? Oh yeah I look at the arrow wound on me and the other wounds on the others, yep makes sense.

"We were hoping to talk to your leader to ask for help with a problem." Tysal said a bit nervous

"I'm sorry, like I said----" "Yes I know so that's why I'm asking you" Tysal said, cutting me off.

"What is the problem first?" I asked. "You came from the Gate, We have more regions and countries which live here," he paused before continuing, "One of the creatures from one of the areas are evil foul creatures, They are hideous and we simply can't get close to them just the sight of them makes my soldiers run!" Tysal said with a sad and angry look.

What kind of creature is it? Even these little scary gnomes fear them.

"and what are these creatures?" I asked curious.

"THEY ARE DEMONS I TELL YOU!" Tysal screams as he spoke

No they do exist I should have known, everything is real now, no wonder they feared them, we will have to remove them if they go to earth . . . No, don't think like that.

"We will gather a bigger force, tell me more about the demons." I said in a serious tone.

“They have different colored heads but they all have a few different colored bodies but most are pure white like a ghost, they are scary that is all we know so far." Tysal said while shaking.

"Alright, give us the location, we will go once we get some more forces ready." I told Tysal.

He gave us a map and we returned back through the portal after apologizing to them, they told us if we defeat the demons they will give us a reward for our brave efforts.

We went through the gate and once again we were in the cave we went back to the camp, to our surprise there was a force of at least 1,000 orcs and 100 humans all armed, while in front was the LTC and Trek.

"We will go in the cave and find them and get revenge if they have died, Lets go!" They all cheered and we came out of the cave.

They just stood there with blank looks.

"Commander, Trek we need to assemble all of the people who can fight right away." I said as soon as I came in front of them.

"HUH?!?" You're alive, the LTC said.

"Yes but that's not important now." I said as I walked to the city center with the small force that was with me from the beginning.

*Gasp* I opened my eyes as I flung up.

I looked around to see 3 orc mages with 5 military medics, One of them was the female I found on the field dead.

"Oh? So you did help me" I said as got up to stand

They looked at me as I looked around the room,

"Hmm this is a cool little place." I then saw the state of the room, "A bit of a mess but beggars can't be choosers." I smiled with a small laugh, I then picked up my staff and I saw my clothes were swapped with black robes. "I like these robes. . . but who took my clothes off?" I asked while looking around at the present mages and medics.

The female medic then raised her hand, "Thanks a bunch." I said with a bright smile.

I walked to a door and the medics tried to block the way, "what I just want to leave the room for a second." I moved them as they face palmed.

I Opened the door, There I saw it was a balcony and I walked to the edge, Oh that's why they were blocking my path, thousands of undead orcs, humans, ogres and wolves were all looking up and there mouths dropped well besides the wolves they wagged their tails happily.

They all cheered as if I was their King or something, they were gathered before a single Soldier, I remember him, what was his name? That's right Pvt Leo.

I Then thumped my staff down and they went quiet, Omg that worked! Oh yeah I then got ready to speak.

"I must thank all of you from the bottom of my heart, I don't think I ever got around to telling you my name."

I paused and spoke again,

"My name Is Rex Lopiz, I'm a human who has been granted the power over the dead and machines."

I paused to let them take the words in and spoke again,

"You may hate me, I have brought you back to life and for some you may resent me for that, however I do not regret bringing you all back, however I do ask for you to enter my service on your own accord, if not then I shall leave and continue on my own." I said and continued,

"If you agree to my offer you can meet me before I set out." I said as I turned away into the bedroom again.

The building was only three stories so they were pretty close to me when I spoke, as I closed the door I walked out of the room and the medics and mages followed, as I opened the door there was a small group of marines, I nodded them a greeting as I went down the stairs.

I approached the main door and now I had the small group of 3 marines followed me, I stopped and looked at the small group of people that were now following me and said,

"You don't need to follow me anywhere, You are not in any way or form in debt to me anymore." I said as I continued to the door.

"We Know but you are all we have now." The female medic said.

They did not talk slowly anymore, they spoke like normal people now, is it because of the skill improvement that is probably it.

"You have each other now." I said without looking at them as I opened the door.

"Please don't abandon us!" The medic yelled out.

I stopped as I looked at them,

"What is your name?" I asked the medic.

"Hailey . . . Sir" Hailey replied.

She was not wearing her helmet anymore, but she had golden blonde hair with blue eyes, she looked to be around her 20's.

"Hailey, I'm not abandoning you, I don't want to involve you in my problems." I said bluntly.

"You offered us to join you did you not?" Hailey said.

"Yes but I did not expect any of you to actually agree!" I yelled "Sorry I didn't mean to yell, if I told you all what I'm dealing with you will all die." I said as I walked out the door and the thousands of creatures still stood there.

In front was an orc with a LTC of the army and Pvt Leo.

"Please let us serve you Rex!" The three of them kneeled and the rest of the creatures did as well.

"WHY?" I shouted while looking at them, "You will die again, is that what you want?" I asked in a loud voice,

"We already died once, and you helped bring us back, Do you think we will back down because we might die? We are soldiers." the Pvt said.

"Would you still serve me if you had to kill your own people?" I said in all seriousness.

All of them looked at me.

"My point exactly." I said to them,

"What did you mean by that?" Pvt Leo asked.

"Who do you think I fought?" I asked.

"The orcs, am I wrong?" He asked.

"Yes, You are wrong but also right." I said.

"I did fight orcs at first, but I also killed humans as well." I said as I began to walk towards the three.

"You know my power is control over the dead? So what do you think your government will do now? That's right, they will take me for research or kill me." I said as I looked at the crowd.

"I'm a necromancer with robotic engineering powers" laughed as I finished speaking.

"Why?" Leo said.

"Why do you think?" I said.

"I'm no longer human." I said with a crooked smile.

"I was supposed to die, yet here I am still alive." I said with a smirk.

"Now I have to get back to earth to get something, and then I have to find somewhere to call my own." I said while staring him in the eye.

"so you can decide to follow the crazy man, or you can go back to your homes and hope you don't get killed for being a undead" I sighed as I looked at the crowd

They looked conflicted, they looked shocked at what I told them.

"If you do decide to follow me just remember one thing, I will not ask you to lay down your life to save me." I said with a genuine smile.

They looked at me confused.

"Did you think I was going to use you for war?" I laughed out loud.

"Why would I use you guys for war?" I looked at them while smiling, "I can make robots for that." I said honestly.

"Unless you want to fight for me, if not you can just attend farms or stores or something depending on where I end up." I said while scratching my head,

"Oh and another thing, could you all fill me in on what's going on, like where we are and the situation and then I will leave." I asked.

They told me what happened when I was out and that there were demons and gnomes.

"Alright sorry for asking I will go to the demons, I always wanted to see what they look like." I said.

They looked at me blankly as I began to walk towards the cave.

PVT Leo -

"He can't be serious right?" I asked.

"Well he just went into the cave" LTC Hudson said.

"He must be strong," Trek said.

"trek shall follow him better then doing nothing" Trek said and ran off to catch up to Rex

Trek Ran into the darkness of the cave, following him was a small group of 5 orcs who were part of his guard force when we fought.

"They might need a medic, I guess I will go too, stay safe everyone!" Hailey said as she ran into the darkness.

'I Don't like the sound of demons . . . But Giruk Is curious . . ." An ogre said as he went on his hands and knees and crawled into the cave's darkness.

"No one else goes!" Hudson yells out.

"We will wait for them to return, once they come back then we will figure out if you wanna follow him." Hudson said as he went back to work, the rest of the creatures did as well and I went back to training.

Rex Lopiz -

I only got about 20 steps into the dark as I heard footsteps behind me, I turned to look as I saw an orc and 5 others behind him with Hailey behind them,

"Alright, it seems you 7 chose to follow me to my possible death, Who are you all?" I asked

"I am Trek, I was the leader of the army before I was killed, and these five are my personal guard who died with me, all orcs don't have names unless they are given one." trek said

"Very well let us go then." We began to walk as we heard a loud sliding noise behind us.

We all looked to see a large ogre who was crawling towards us, it was a tight squeeze.

"Oh no big guy, you can't come." I said as I looked at him

"But . . Giruk want's . . demon too" The ogre said

"alright fine let's go ." I said to them all

On our way to the portal we passed the gnomes who stood guard and entered the portal they were all amazed by the 12 ft ogre.

We made it inside of the portal and checked the map and began to start the walk to the demon's area
