Skill rank up REDACTED Rank up to UNKNOWN REDATED rank up to UNKNOWN" A boy's voice replies "Oh nice I'm getting stronger well I did defeat such a strong monster well I better get the skin and items of this monster to sell it" The Robotic once again calls out "You have finished the REDACTED" The boy replies "Oh that was it? I didn't think that would finish it so quickly well I better get going". The Robotic voice alerts the boy "new skill unlocked the skill luck is REDACTED". "Oh nice well I should get going seriously" The boy walks into the light outside the cave looking out thinking deeply about how he was before and thinks about how could change before closing his eyes slowly.
A pair of eyes open revealing a boy sleeping while working, He lifts himself up and looks around.
"The Boss wants to speak with you," his co-worker said to him.
The boy stands up and walks to his boss's office.
The door opens and his boss says "Listen, Joseph, this might sound a bit hard for you, and personally it's hard for me to-"
Joseph cuts him off mid-sentence, "really, said the guy who has been overworking me for the past two months"
His Boss replies "w-well, you see we saw that you were a hard worker and we had a lot of workers quitting and we saw your determination despite all the stuff that's been going on lately..with you"
Joseph shouts at his boss "why are you letting me go then!"
his boss scratches his head and says, "We thought you just needed time to yourself and to get some help, cause clearly the thing that happened 4 months ago with your girlfriend and friend Blake isn't really doing the best on your mental so... I'm sorry but we have to let you go"

Joseph nods and walks out.
A couple of minutes later Joesph is walking down the street with a box full of stuff, he walks into his apartment to drops the box on the floor as he opens the fridge to see nothing, nothing but a loaf of bread, a water bottle, and some fruits. He walks back outside to go to the grocery store and buys 4 bottles of liquor and a book. The cashier asks
"what's with the book, sir?"
Joseph replies " I like to read and study, keeps me distracted" as the cashier puts the book in with the bottles.
Later that night drinks two bottles and puts the one in the Fridge, his eyes begin to wander as he pours a shot and drinks it and his eyes close.
His eyes open once again. He goes down to the local bookstore and browses, He sees a very intriguing book hidden away below the bookshelf, he brings it to the cashier and asks
"excuse me, Why is this book below the bookshelf" actually curious as to why it was there.
The cashier explains that she had never seen that book before, the cashier asks him to return it which he does. but after thinking for a while he slides the book under his coat and proceeds to walk out of the bookstore and then his walk starts to become faster and faster and then he starts running to his apartment. He reads the book, after reading for a bit he closes the book and puts it away and begins to fall asleep. He opens his eyes to see something is different clearly something has changed.

A Primeval Future
Follow the story of a modern caveman as he learns to survive, thrive, and shape his nascent civilization in a world yet untouched by man. Expect a focus on the nitty-gritty of primitive living, especially early on. I plan for this to eventually progressing to the settlement management and politics stage as people gravitate towards the one guy who looks like he knows what he's doing, but this will likely take some time. Despite the occasional system elements, skilling and levels will not be a part of this story. No shortcuts. There will be violence and there will be sexuality but there will be no sexual violence. I hate reading that crap and I hate writing it even more. This is my first serious foray into writing. I plan to put out at least 1 chapter a week, more when I can. Constructive criticism is very much welcomed as are ideas and suggestions! Cover image credit: "Mesolithic camp site" by Wessex Archaeology is licensed with CC BY-NC 2.0. Lost Things
"In this disordered continent, where everyone seeks to be the heroes of their own tales, there are still some rooms for smaller stories to breathe." "Past, present, and future—keep your eyes open, and see where they lead you to." This story follows three housemates’ lives: Carson Calding, Virgil Barion, and John Salore—onto their adventures of finding Carson’s past, Virgil’s present, and John’s future. Despite their clashing backgrounds and circumstances that forced them together, they’re definitely going to find the things they had lost, for sure. Each entire chapter will be updated biweekly. There'll be three smaller parts per each chapter. Note that this story was written to be an interactive one, with polls at the end of each parts deciding on what happens next. Though, the polls for this story won't be available on Royal Road updates. (I also upload this in Arcane Odyssey forum, and it's currently the only place where I open the polls and use the poll results from.)
