It surprised everyone to see a king bowing to them.

“If you have questions, let me know.” The King responded after bowing.

In a nervous voice, the woman from Canada asked, “Uh... Respected King, can we go back to our planet?” Everyone looked towards the king for the answer.

“We’re sorry, but we do not know if you can go back to your planet. There was only one time when people from other planets were summoned, but after killing the demon king, no sign of them was found; just as if they had vanished.” the king replied.

After hearing the king’s explanation, everyone was dissatisfied. From the looks on their faces, they were disappointed to be summoned to this world; they hoped to return to their families, but the king’s answer disappointed them.

The king waited for a moment and said, “I know, you are unhappy with the summons, but for this, we, as citizens of this continent, will be accountable and will leave no stone unturned to ensure your comfort.” he stopped to observe their reactions. As he thought, they look relaxed.

He then continued, “I will tell you about our world. This is Planet Alcyone, and there are four continents in it: Avaron, Rilai, Otis, and one forbidden continent.” His voice went low while he spoke the name of the forbidden continent. His eyes became heavy, and he closed them as if remembering something. He took a deep breath and continued.

“You are in the Continent of Avaron, a continent populated mostly by Humans,” after seeing the confused look on their faces, he pondered for a moment and answered, “The human continent is here, the Rilai continent houses elves, dwarves, and many nonhuman races, and the Otis continent is populated by demons,” He stopped, looking at their shocked looks.

The knowledge of the existence of other races left all of them in shock. They were aware of these races only through novels and movies, but none would have thought that these races really exist. Is it possible that someone from this world has traveled to earth, otherwise how would earth know of these races?

After digesting this information, they looked up at the king to carry on. Seeing this, King continued, “And this world is ruled by swords and magic.” Again, he paused and looked at them, and having received the shocking news about their world, they realized that whatever was a myth on Earth was now for real. Now their doubt has become a belief that someone would have come back to earth. This rekindled their hope of a return to earth, but they are humans from earth and not from this universe. They once again looked towards the king for answers.

It seems the king had read their minds as they continued, “You would think how you could survive without power, but you have been gifted. Remember the pain you experienced previously. I will lead you to the Temple for the answers.” He stood up and left the room.

Everyone rose and followed him. After a few minutes, they came to the room. The soldier slowly opened the gate for everyone to enter.

It was a large room with a circular frame covering 10 feet in the center. There was a 4 feet slab in front of the frame. Upon placing his hands on the slab, there was a quick reaction from the circular frame as it was glistening with blue light. The king turned around and said, “Please follow me,” and then he went into the blue light to disappear.

The scene scared everyone. They had seen nothing like this before. Following the king, the queen saw their worried faces and turned around. She smiled and said, “Don’t worry, we’ll just go into the temple”, before turning around to go through the portal.

Everyone nodded and looked at each other. Marcus was the first one to enter the portal, followed by everyone; Tarun was the last one to enter. He felt dizzy for a moment, then realized he was somewhere else. As he looked around the hall, he saw a statue of a lady in the middle, surrounded by a few people holding candles, as though they were performing a ritual.

“Welcome to the temple of Goddess Vanessa, who is the creator of the world. Please wait while we perform the initiation ceremony,” the bald priest said as he approached the foot of the statue. There was a sphere the size of a basketball, and he bowed towards the statue, held the sphere, and returned.

He invited everyone to come forward and place a hand on the sphere.

Taking the initiative, Marcus reached out with his hand and touched the sphere. Suddenly, a white light engulfed him, covering him for a moment. Upon seeing the sphere, the king and the priest said enthusiastically, “Hero Class!” Everyone was confused why the two were so excited. The king then said, “Please wait- we will answer you after the ceremony.”

The second was the black man from America. His class was Archer.

The third was a man from Britain whose class was Thief.

The fourth was the lady from China, whose class was Mage.

The fifth was a woman from Canada whose class was Healer.

When Turun placed his hand on the sphere, he experienced a bright light that covered his body; he felt something moving within; the light faded after that and he saw words appearing inside the sphere.

“Commoner*”

Tarun focused his eyes on the king, who had a frown on his face because of his class.

The king glanced at the priest. As though he was remembering something, the priest came near him and whispered something.

Don’t know what the priest said to the king, but the king suddenly became furious with the priest; he took a deep breath and said to Tarun.

“We apologize for the inconvenience, but we accidentally summoned you to this world.”
