《Another Death》Chapter 27 - Judgement

"Put your weapon down, it's not worth it" said Karna calmly.
"No way" Andrej said coldly.
"Okay, it's clear that she is stronger, but i can still fight" Andrej thought, and went into his full concentration mode. Karna saw that the one on the ground was an illusion, and the real one was behind her, so she turned around, grabbed Andrej's sword and threw it on the ground, then she punched Andrej in the chest, and he fell on the ground, but he managed to safely land on his feet.
"Tears of mercy" Karna launched several tears which Andrej dodged and he managed to grab his sword and went to counterattack.
"Darkness chase" Andrej said and shadow hands wrapped themselves around Karna which managed to trap her for a while, but she negated them with her tears, but that bought Andrej enough time to launch an attack.
"Dark slash" Andrej released a slashing attack, which just left a scratch on Karna's body, then she launched more tears at him but he managed to dodge all of them.
"Dark spiral" a spiraling blade of darkness shot out of Andrej's sword, but Karna blocked it with a two layered shield.
"What to do?" thought Andrej.
"Tears of mercy" Karna released another tear attack, which pierced the hand of the unprepared Andrej. He released several slashes of darkness as a diversion, which Karna easily neutralised, but Andrej went for an attack from underneath, he slashed at her foot and left a bleeding wound, but Karna quickly healed it and kicked Andrej back into the ground, then she created three ropes out of tears, and swung them wildly at Andrej, who managed to dodge most of them, but some hit his body leaving bleeding wounds.
"Sword of justice" an ornate sword made out of tears appeared in Karna's right hand, and she quickly went to attack Andrej, who with all of his strength parried her slashes, until he used a chance to jump back.

Meanwhile the girls managed to get all of the villagers out to safety.
"Thank you Katarina for your help" said Vesna.
"No problem mother"
"Now go and help Andrej"
"On my way" Katarina said and started flying back.
Andrej was barely able to stand thanks to his injuries.
"Why are you doing this?" he asked.
"It's simple, there is a powerful individual here, my master wants them gone, so i was sent here to deliver god's judgement upon this region and kill that person" Karna explained.
"Do you even hear yourself? Do you even know how many people will die?" Andrej yelled from the top of his lungs.
"I am aware, but when you have a goal you do not stop until you have achieved it, no matter how much victims it takes"
"Stop with that bullshit!" Andrej yelled and went to attack, but Karna predicted his attack and cut him on the stomach, leaving a big wound and damaged organs.
"I wanted to spare you from a violent death, but it's just a matter of time before you succumb to your wounds"
"I will take you down until then" Andrej said and they traded several blows, then Andrej tried to slash her, but Karna saw through the attack and slashed him on his open spot, Andrej screamed in pain and fell on the ground.
"It hurts like hell, but i won't give up, my father said that a man never falls on his knees before an enemy, and i won't let his words go down in mud" Andrej thought and barely managed to stand up.
"Dark slash" he said weakly, and released a small slash of darkness which didn't even hurt Karna, she threw him back on the ground, but Andrej just stood back up with a smirk, and then Karna threw her sword, which pierced Andrej's heart, and he fell down on the ground in a pool of blood.

At that moment Katarina arrived, but she was late, as Andrej was already laying on the ground, a sword plunged in his heart, and Karna stood in front of his body.
"Andrej!!! Noo" she screamed fearfully and ran down towards his body.
"He was so young, yet he threw his life away that easily" said Karna.
"You took his life away from him!"
"You are talking about different things, he already accepted his death, he was already dead in his thoughts"
"No, that is not the truth! I refuse to believe that!"
"Now, there are no more obstacles ahead, the time has come"
"Tear of judgement" said Karna, and a single tear fell on the ground, before a gigantic flood erupted, destroying everything in it's path.
"It seems i made a small error, i made it too strong, now there will be more unnecessary victims, but well"
Katarina used some mana to create a dome of water in order to shield her and Andrej from the flood, then she started healing him, deep down she knew that it was a futile attempt, but nonetheless she continued healing him until she fell unconscious from mana exhaustion.
