《Tyrant Named God》Prologue

It’s pretty foolish to tell a story you have created; some may think it is fiction, yet not. Yes, yes, however, who are mortals to judge some things that are written? It may prove to be true or false. I tell you a story that I have orchestrated, for I am the God of this universe, and do so as I please; I may ruin everything or create a sense of hope. However, everything shall proceed as God wills it.
There once was a world much like ours; this world was set in turmoil and conflict. Creatures of evil ruled over the land. God was no longer entertained by watching the evil creatures he created to fight. He wanted something more out of it, so he created humans to do his bidding. He appointed a young boy, stealing his sight in the process, although he never had to pay such a price, to begin with, and named him Hand of God. This Human went by a name that sparked terror in the hearts of both men and demons. Emperor Lucious, a name so devious that it makes the most sinister demons from hell vomit. This Lucious, however, had a daughter, who he named Rhea. She was sent away for her own sake when she was very young, entrusting her to his dear friend, Farhid, who was traveling to the Southern Empire. Over the sixteen years Rhea had been away in the Southern Empire, Lucious carried out various tasks for the God he served, such as taking goblins, ogres, and orcs as slaves. This caused a distaste for Lucious, who wasn’t the only one leading Humanity; other countries also did. Why God never talked to anyone else and told them to do the same is unknown. It seemed to other Nations that the Holy Emperor was a fluke, a magic caster seeking only to perfect his arts, and because of that, every nation was on the brink of war with the Empire.

The situation for Rhea is quite tricky, she was born with a high aptitude for magic, and thus she could not go to school for fear of being found. It wouldn’t take long to find out that she was the daughter of the Great Lucious, yet she was never found through her years. Rhea grew up with another child in the Southern Empire, spending most of her childhood in an isolated village slightly east of the Southern border. Farhid, a man Rhea called her father, instructed her on how to control her magic, and she would often use her skills with magic to cast healing spells. Due to her growing magic powers and increased malicious activity in the area, Farhid suddenly decides to Travel North to escape the threat and return Lucious’s daughter to him.

Isekai'D Shoggoth
It begins as a usual isekai story. No, wait. It's worse. It's otome isekai. And I'm the villain.Of course, there must be some kind of cheat to make up for it. It's that kind of story. And my cheat is... being a shoggoth. Which apparently includes being a genius with setting up all sorts of production. Because "engineered to be universal labor" backstory for that race, I surmise.So... Screw it, full steam ahead. Let`s see what I can make out of this world and it's ikebana-based magic. *!* This story is currently being continued on a different page, following years of hiatus and extensive rewrites *!* Please follow the link to read the up-to-date version: https://www.royalroad.com/fiction/53863/cycles-of-ruin Basil von Doom is a powerful dungeon keeper with a simple mission: to bring ruin and destruction upon civilized worlds at the height of their decadence and stagnation. Much like his father before him, the new master of House Doom is a prodigy of war, yet the venerable minions of his household still hold strange loyalties toward his missing ancestor, silently comparing the legendary rage of his father to the more pragmatic approach of the son. Adding to Basil’s frustrations is the lack of accomplishment he feels for his work, with the dungeon keeper often taking on handicaps just to give his enemies a fighting chance. With all the power and wealth one could ever dream of already within his grasp, Basil now finds that the achievements of others kindle more joy in his heart than his own crushing victories. Thus Basil has taken up mentoring the next generation of dungeon keepers to try and diagnose the cause for his own lack of passion. With his apprentice, Elnora, managing most of the daily work around the dungeon, Basil can finally turn his attention towards his personal concerns, such as tackling the shadow of his legendary father that still looms large over him.
