Minaro, Maya, Bukkaru and Imma-ite walk down a dirt path, several stone buildings can be seen and the sky is covered in clouds.

Imma-ite: Oi Mineral, you sure you won't need help fighting the next skiller?

Minaro: Yeah, if I was able to defeat the Rank 8, Rank 5 shouldn't be a problem. So you three can just sit back and watch.

Maya walks up behind Minaro and hugs him, he gets startled and turns around to look at her. Maya grins at him, Imma-Ite and Maya start laughing.

Imma-Ite: I didn't realize girls were your weakness.

Minaro slowly pushes Maya off of him.

Minaro: Stop being so comfortable around me.

Maya: Well, I'm comfortable because that's just how I am with friends.

Minaro: You've talked to me only 7 times, and all those times I've ignored you. We aren't friends.

Maya: Yeah we are! We will become friends!

Minaro: Sure.

Minaro faces away from her and continues to walk forwards, they follow him.

Maya: Hey, do you like have a hard time talking to people or something? Why don't you talk to us? Why don't you wanna be friends???

Minaro is silent for a few seconds.

Minaro: I don't want to talk to you. That's it.

Maya stares at him unamused.

Maya: You give off that "I don't care energy" but you're probably a normal dude with feelings.

Minaro:... I'm not even trying to give off "I don't care energy", that's just how I am.

Maya: I like the "I don't care energy." It makes you look cool, like a badass guy…

Maya turns around and looks at Imma-Ite.

Maya: Unlike Imma-Ite over here, he could learn a thing or two from you, since the energy he gives off is stupid!

Imma-Ite: Yeah sure whatever, Mayo.

Maya: Just the other day, I went to the restroom and found Imma-Ite laying on the floor covered in the shower curtain all wet, I thought he died!

Imma-Ite: I slipped and hit my head against the toilet, I could have been dying and you just left me there for 15 minutes. I was ass naked too! So it also embarrassing.

Maya: Well maybe next time-

She's cut off by a little laugh coming from Minaro. Minaro turns around to tell them something, he is smiling a little.

Minaro: Both of you shut up, you're making my head hurt.

Minaro turns around, Maya and Imma-Ite stare at him as they continue to walk forwards. They start whispering to each other.

Maya: He can smile!

Imma-Ite: Of course he can smile, you dumbass.

Maya: Shut up!

Rank 5, a guy with big brown hair and yellow eyes with grey curving lines in them stands in front of Minaro and the others. He has a red short sleeve shirt and then a long sleeve darker red shirt under it, some chain rings with spikes on them were on his arms and legs, his pants were a reddish pink.

Imma-Ite, Maya and Bukkaru sit on the floor, Bukkaru goes to sleep while Imma-Ite and Maya start playing rock, paper, scissors. Minaro stands a few feet away from Rank 5.

Rank 5 looks confused.

"Only one is going to fight me?" He thinks.

Minaro looks at Rank 5 calmly.

Minaro: I might go all out.

Rank 5: ...I'll go all out.

Rank 5 closes his eyes and stretches, when he opens them again, Minaro is gone.

Minaro had dashed towards Rank 5. Rank 5 is punched in the stomach, blood comes out of his mouth as he's launched away.

Minaro's 2 rifts start to form beside him.

"He caught me off guard! He almost punctured my stomach!" Rank 5 thinks. He quickly stands up.

Several metal chains fly out of Rank 5's palms that head towards Minaro, Minaro runs and kicks the chains away from him as he gets closer to Rank 5.

"Chain Summoning?" Minaro thinks.

Rank 5 starts to get more worried as Minaro gets closer, wooden, metal and glass chains come out and head towards Minaro.

"I can feel his killing intent and it's strong, really strong." Rank 5 thinks.

Minaro breaks all the chains with his fist and feet, he gets cut in the process but keeps going. Rank 5 looks even more worried.

Rank 5: Get away! GET AWAY!

Green ghost-like chains come out of Rank 5, Minaro tries to kick the chains but his leg goes through them, they swerve and slam into his back knocking him off his feet.

The green ghost chains can be manipulated, they may be untouchable or hard depending on what the one with the skill decides.

"I'm getting way too scared, I have to pay attention!" Rank 5 thinks.

More green ghost chains come out of Rank 5, Minaro quickly stands up and dodges them repeatedly as they swerve around him.

Barbed wire chains shoot out of Rank 5, Minaro creates an ice wall around him which protects him from the barbed wire, the ghost chains dissapear.

"I'm sorry boss, but I really have to fight like I'm aiming to kill here, I will be able to release all my power." Rank 5 thinks, he dashes towards Minaro's wall and jumps.

Rank 5 falls from the sky and tries to karate chop Minaro from above, Minaro catches his arm with his right hand.

Minaro punches Rank 5's left arm with his left fist and breaks it, then he lets go of his Rank 5's right arm and uppercuts it with his own, breaking it. Rank 5 yells in pain, his arms dangle around, Minaro punches Rank 5 in the stomach with his right arm and then left, launching him forwards into the air. Minaro dashes and jumps towards Rank 5, once he's over him, Minaro raises his right leg and slams it full force onto Rank 5's head launching him towards the floor.

Rank 5 lays on the floor, trembling. Minaro stands over him.

"What the fuck!? The boss never told me he was this strong." Rank 5 thinks.

Minaro:...Did you see the difference between your strength and mine?

Maya and Imma-Ite are stunned, both of them are just sitting now enjoying the battle.

Imma-Ite: Mineral's really strong, holy shit.

Maya: It's probaly from all the random training and exercise he does.

Imma-Ite: He trains? He exercises?

Maya: Yeah, he'll do several exercises to make his body strong, and he'll always do stamina increasing training. I've seen him work out several times.

Minaro grabs Rank 5 by the hair, Rank 5's face is bloody and broken.

Minaro: Do you wanna die now or die later?

Rank 5 mumbles.

Rank 5: Later, I want to live, please.

Minaro sits Rank 5 up, Rank 5's head droops down.

Minaro: Alright, use all your skills on me. Don't hold back.

The ground around Rank 5 explodes, Minaro jumps away from the explosion.

Rank 5 is standing with his arms wrapped in chains, he raises his arms up and they seem functional again. He wrapped chains around his arm and constricted them to make them work again.

Rank 5 grins with blood running down his face.

Rank 5: Did you really think I would go down that easily?

Minaro: No, I would have killed you if I knew you couldn't get back up.

"I should run, but I'll lose my pride if I do!" Rank 5 thinks.

100 chains come out rank 5 that head towards Minaro, Minaro positions his rifts around the chains and lets gamma rays out of his rifts for a few seconds which disintegrate the chains instantly.

Rank 5 is stunned, then scared.

A red string shoots out of Minaro's left index finger that wraps around Rank 5 and pulls him towards Minaro.

Minaro decks Rank 5 mid-air and slams him onto the floor, then kicks him away.

Imma-Ite: Oh, he just used the string skill you have.

Maya: Yeah, he must have gotten it when he killed one of my family members.

Imma-Ite: He killed one of your family members?

"I guess I can use this string skill… it could come in handy in some situations." Minaro thinks.

Rank 5 slowly stands up and starts running away from the battle, his arms dangle around beside him.

"I have to get out of here! I really do!" Rank 5 thinks.

"Do I just kill him? The green chains skill could be useful but the name of it is probably impossible to guess… eh whatever." Minaro thinks.

A red string shoots out Minaro's index finger, it wraps around Rank 5's legs and trips him.

Red strings are part of the "String Summoning" skill, the wielder of the skill can pick when the strings are hard and durable or weak and sharp.

Minaro's rift appears above him, a gamma ray shoots out of it, Rank 5 tries desperately to stand up, but the strings won't let him.

"FUCK! I'm gonna die, there's so much I wanted to do! WHY!" Rank 5 thinks as tears and blood fall down his face.

"Green Chain Creation? Green Chain Summoning?" Minaro thinks as he stares at Rank 5 trying to crawl away.

Rank 5 yells and cries, the gamma ray hits him, he's burned until nothing is left of him.

Imma-Ite: Jesus, Mineral doesn't fuck around.

Maya: I know, he's kinda scary.

Minaro holds his hand out and tries to summon the green chains, but nothing happens.

Minaro walks and sits down beside Maya.

Maya: Did you get a skill?

Minaro: No, but his skills were bad anyways so I don't really mind.

Minaro sighs.

Minaro: Getting new skills is kinda hard, I don't know any of the true names of the skills. I just have to guess them.

Maya: The string skill, what name did you say to get it?

Minaro: "String Summoning."

Maya: Oh, so my skill is called "String summoning."

Imma-Ite: Is it hard to guess the true name of skills? Because whenever I see a skill I can easily think of what it's actually called.

Minaro: It's hard, for some reason even the simplest skills can have a name you wouldn't expect, like for example my ice skill, I call it "Big Chillin."

Imma-ite: "Big Chillin?"

Imma-ite and Maya laugh a little.

Minaro: Yeah, that name is funny, but it isn't it's true name. If someone tried to take my ice skill, they would have to guess between "Ice Creation", "Ice Manipulation", Ice Summoning" or any other synonym for creating things with Ice.

Imma-Ite: Do you know what that skill is actually called?

Minaro: Nope, but if I had to guess I would say "Ice creation." I think skills were created so that even if you kill someone, getting a skill would be really hard.

Minaro looks at Maya.

Minaro: Maya, how do you make weapons and stuff with the string skill? I've been trying to but I can't do it.

Maya: I don't know how I do it, It's just natural for me. But I think it's because I've had the string skill for my entire life while you've had it for 2 weeks.

Minaro stares at floor silently.

Imma-ite: Hey, so what are we going to do now?

Minaro: Rinka is currently on his mission to find Rank 6, so I think we may be able to find Rank 7 first.

Maya: What town could he be in?

Minaro: Lerop town is where he's seen the most, we just have to wait for Bukkaru to wake up.

Imma-ite looks at Minaro.

Imma-ite: Hey, how did you get so strong in such a short amount of time?

Minaro: Ever since I got my rifts I've been stronger.

Imma-ite: But you took a good amount of time beating up Rank 1 while you beat Rank 6 in a few minutes.

Minaro: Oh, That's because I let Rank 1 stay alive, I wanted to see what skills he had.

Imma-ite: Oooohhhh, okay.

Yutsu walks down a red hallway, Eivee walks besides him.

Eivee: Yutsu, why do we play this game of cat and mouse with the guardians? We kill people, run and the guardians chase us, it's the same cycle. We could just kill them and not worry about anything.

Yutsu: Have you heard of the kamu realm?

Eivee: Uh, Kamu realm? I don't know what that is.

Yutsu: Imagine it as heaven, where a species known as kamu exist. Kamus resemble humans and have skills as well, they look like angels.

Thousands of years ago, the kamu realm was sealed and kamus could no longer leave that realm. It was sealed by demus from the demu real which is basically hell where the closest things to devils live.

Demus have skills and used to look like humans but due to a war with the kamus they were all cursed and now look like windy shadows.

Eivee: Okay, Why are you telling me this?

Yutsu: I have a skill, I call "Kamunication", it allows me to temporarily enter the kamu realm and speak to the kamus.

Eivee: So you can speak to that species, what does this have to do with my question?

Yutsu: I proposed my plan to them and I told them that their goal and mine can co-exist.

Eivee: What was their goal?

Yutsu: To wipe humanity out of existence and turn the earth into part of their kamu realm.

Kamus can see everything, they are above us, they want entertainment. So if I wanted their help they told me to put on a show.

The reason we play cat and mouse is so that things over there with Rinka and Minaro can become something the kamus will enjoy watching.

So our only job is to continue playing cat and mouse and letting the other side of the story unfold.

Eivee: Seriously? They just want something exciting?

Yutsu: Yeah, it's an odd thing to request. But that's what they wanted and I wasn't going to pass up on their help... they're the reason some of us have 6 or 7 skills, they know the true name of almost every skill.

Eivee: Oh really? Damn!

Yutsu: Yes and in around 2 years the Kamu realm will open again. The Kamus will be able to leave their realm and go to other dimensions and onto earth.

Eivee: Hey, How do you even know if something exciting will happen over there with Rinka and Minaro?

Yutsu: Things always happen...plus we have Nunda.

Eivee: Isn't Nunda dead though?

Yutsu: He's got ways of coming back.

Eivee: Hey, if we're letting the other side of the story unfold, What if Rinka and Minaro get too strong, I mean...They have black blood.

Yutsu: It's fine, I will always be stronger than them.

Rinka, Doa and Ashi are standing at a stone plaza in the middle of Yugin town, they're ready to find Rank 6.
